Allowed Internet signal to reach outside

First, I didn't realize 1 unit must be placed where the router is located. The second can be any place else, it does require electricity. I thought this is expensive given many Mesh systems come with 3 units. ARRIS was purchased because Frontier uses ARRIS router and tech said this would work best. No fiber optic or cable Internet so definitely needed something. This system did enable us to install an outside security camera because our Internet wasn't strong enough to reach outside. We also have improved tv performance with less buffering time.

Had issues with both units. I was on the phone with tech support for about 2 1/2 hours trying to get the mesh system to sync and download a firmware update and was unsuccessful with both units. Kept giving multiple error code messages. Tech support suggested it was a system/hardware issue and return back to (Best Buy) store for replacement. Awaiting for new replacement to arrive via mail.

I recently purchased a Mesh Router for my home. I found the salesperson to be knowledgeable and friendly and price was good as well. Product is relatively easy to set up. I would purchase again.

At home I have 1 GB download service and with this model being a Wi-Fi 6 I thought I would be hitting pretty close to those numbers but it wasn't really that better than an old Netgear Nighthawk that I bought about 4 years ago or more. I eventually returned this item.

I really don't know who writes some of the professional reviews which said this was a good product, but I'll tell you this product is terrible. The set up process is pure torture. You need to download an app for your smart phone. If you don't have a smart phone, you can't setup the system as there are no browser alternatives.
Once the app is installed on your phone, it takes forever to make a setting change. In some cases, even though the app says a setting has been updated, it really hasn't. When you go back to the setting, you discover it reverted back to the default state.
The routers use a color code to communicate the status. The trouble is the amber and orange are too similar to readily determine what the color is supposed to be. This also goes for the white and blue.
Operationally, I was also disappointed to discover each node had only one LAN port. The number in the specs is a total of ALL the LAN ports on ALL the nodes. Also despite having down load speed of 240Mbps+ on my modem, the node connected via ether net cable was only providing 80Mbps on my computer. Quite a drop off.
Finally after I thought I had the system setup and running, it just stopped working. No matter what I tried I was not able to get the router(s) to work again. Technical support was no help. If this was my experience after just a few hours of dealing with the mesh wifi system, and wasting my time, then I wasn't going to spend more time with the system. I decided to cut my losses, return the system and purchase another mesh wifi system (Orbi) which I am much happier with, spent $50 less, had easier setup and better throughput.

I have tried multiple mesh systems trying to boost my signal to a dead zone in my home office, and these did the trick! I am amazed at how well they work. My speed increased 10x in a room that was just awful. I’ve moved all my WiFi devices off to the new network and haven’t had a drop since.

My wifi went from being one of the most frustrating, slow, and spotty devices in my house, now I have amazing speed and coverage! Easily covers my 200 sq ft house and reaches all parts of my yard. Love this machine.
