If you want to have best Wi-Fi connection throughout your home then mesh router systems are the best way to extend your wireless range. Arris SURFboard mAX AX6600 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 6 mesh system. It comes with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands that supports pretty much every device that can connect to internet wirelessly. There is an additional dedicated 5Ghz band that is used for backhaul communication between the two routers. These routers support 802.11ax or Wi-Fi 6 technology with speeds up to 6.6 Gbps. You need to download the SURFboard Central app to setup the router. The app guides you with step by step instructions as well as allow you to control and change all the settings. Each router comes with 1 gigabit port that you use to connect to the modem. This also restricts the router from configuring in a WAN setup. There are no USB ports either for network storage options. While testing on my 500 Mbps connection, I didn't find any dead spots around my home. The connection was solid with no lags. I was getting download speed of 475-500+ Mbps at through out the house. Overall, if you are looking for a newer Wi-Fi 6 mesh system, this one is incredible at this price range.

I thought I was happy with what I was using before until I tried this. Amazing coverage, fairly easy to setup, and extremely capable of handling all of my homes devices.

These things are great! Wifi speeds are almost as fast as an Ethernet connection and the signal is great! The app does have a learning curve but it is simple once you get the hang of it. Setting up the first satellite was a bit tricky at first until I got used to the app. The second went flawlessly. Overall, to me these are worth every penny! I will recommend these to anyone that listens.

these don't function unless you install their app to your phone (which demands to see your contact list and more), and let them report back to their manufacturer. this is a crazy security vulnerability. who knows what data they're harvesting off your phone or browsing habits they're sending to an unknown. even if you have nothing to hide it's irresponsible to enable this predatory behavior. the data might be worthless today, but it will follow you forever. these cannot be administered w/o connecting to an outside server, which should be completely unnecessary. this mesh can't be configured without giving up your privacy. nothing inherently wrong with mobile apps to control your mesh, but this device is sketch.

The Arris Surfboard mAX works amazing in my house. I can now get a wifi signal to all corners of my front and back yard, just under 1/2 acre. Easy setup using the app, plug and play as long as you follow the prompts and are patient to make sure handshakes and connections occur as expected.
