I was surprised by how good this first season is. Better than most of the super hero movies out there. The story hops between present day and the past, but it does so seamlessly, so viewers don't get lost. The writers did a great job of delving out enough details to move the story along and leave viewers wanting more. Highly recommended

I have only seen the first couple of episodes but I am hooked. I had caught one or two episodes on TV when first released and I enjoyed them but did not manage to keep up with the series. When I saw the first season on sale for an amazing price I couldn't pass it up. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

Oliver Queen returns to his troubled city after being gone for five years, marooned on a mysterious island, but the man he's become is very different from the philandering playboy who was lost at sea. He now wages war on crime as 'The Vigilant', guided by a notebook kept by his father indicating the criminals who've been profiting off the pain of his city, but he soon finds himself at odds with both his family and the police due to the double life he's leading. Having never followed the comic source material, I have no issues with this incarnation of the character, and I've really enjoyed the way the series has shaped up.

With not knowing to much about the Green Arrow, I decided to take a chance to see how it would turn out. Surprisingly DC Comics brought their "A" game when creating this show. It definitely keeps you on your toes and twists that catch you by surprise. Overall a must see TV show if you are in to DC Comics super hero's

I was unfamiliar with the Green Arrow comic book series, so I found this to be an fresh and intriguing tale of vigilante justice. The characters are interesting enough and the plot has enough points of interest to drive the story, but the real reason to watch this is the outstanding performance of newcomer Oliver Queen who manages to handle the action and complexity of the character with ease. A solid feather in the DC comics cap. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys this sort of fare.

Before watching this show, I always shrugged my shoulders at the character Green Arrow. But after watching this I was blown away. Amazing show from Pilot to season finale. This show made me become quite a follower of the Green Arrow now. Already watched Season 2; which was equally amazing and am now highly anticipating Season 3!

Green Arrow was not one of my favorite comics growing up, but I'm a sucker for superhero movies and tv shows. I thought I would give Arrow a try, not expecting a lot.. Boy was I wrong! Good plots, decent acting, and better special effects than I was expecting, plus a lot of action make this a good show for an hour of entertaainment. I like the kind of dark vibe to the show, similiar to the Dark Knight trilogy. I would highly recommend this show even if you are not a comic fan.

The first few episodes of this season can get a bit repetitive fairly quickly, but once the show and actors find their footing things get really interesting and you can't help but get sucked into the two main plots (told parallel to each other, which, really nice decision IMHO) and various subplots of the outlying characters.

Excellent plot, acting, and characters. This show will keep you coming back each episode. A show true to the comic. Even if you're not a fan of the comic you can become of a fan of this show. There is a lot of back and forth in the story-telling. You need to watch in order or you could miss something important in the back story.

This season surpasses in every way the amazingly ambitious first season and sets the stage for an even more jawdropping third season. Continues to be one of the best shows on TV. Content-wise, this set delivers. It even includes a handy bonus "episode" which encapsulates all of the first season in a 42 minute refresher.

My friend got me interested in this show by making me watch the clip of Stephen Amell using the salmon ladder to work out. I was enjoying watching the episode and then the last two minutes hit...what??? You absolutely cannot miss the last 2 minutes of ANY Arrow episode. They hook you in hard for the next ep!

Really love the dark gritty tone of this series. The producers have really upped the ante from Smallville with this excellent mature show. Give it a try even if you think you don't like Green Arrow. The Bluray presentation is razor sharp and the sound delivers. Couldn't beat the price - $16.99 for 23 episodes.

Honestly, I bought this on a whim. I felt that I should give it a chance, and it's a fine show. I'm not in love with it, but I do enjoy it more than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. That show just missed the mark in every way. This is just kind of fun. I'm curious to check out season two, so I think that says something. On the bonus feature side of things, it's fine. It's mostly behind the scenes features, but they work. The one on the stunts is entertaining. The gag reel, however, is not even remotely funny. It's kind of a shame. All in all, the show is worth checking out.

Really liking the show, great example if taking the superhero genre seriously and getting it right. Great cast, well told stories that spend time both in the present and the time Oliver was stranded on the island, taking the opportunity to fill in back story in an easy to follow way. Looking forward to more!

Start watching this series on Netflix and instantly became a fan when BB dropped the price to 16.99 it was a steal...This is the best comic to series program that I've seen in a long time... It would be disappointing if Stephen Amell isn't a front runner for the introduction into the justice league cameo...

I think when the character Oliver Queen, a.k.a. The Green Arrow showed up in the previous CW TV show Smallville, it left audiences wanting to see more. So they created a whole TV show with a new cast and it is awesome. Lots of drama, action, and intrigue. Highly entertaining.

I'm not a huge comic book/superhero fan. I casually like some of them and I took a chance on arrow as I knew NOTHING about Arrow (comic/show) and was really hooked. A'int your run of the mill superhero type show. Its slick, cool and action packed. It was a pleasant surprise.

I made this purchase because of the price and wanted to see the origin episode along with the special features. I was completely blown away by the picture quality. It is awesome and one of my favorite shows. Definitely worth the purchase for a casual fan starting out or for the hardcore.

This is a great show featuring the Green Arrow from DC comics. Its choreography is well done, and most of its actors do an excellent job (especially Stephen Amell). This Blu Ray has a bunch of great special features that make it even more worth buying, including deleted scenes and a gag reel.

I didn't watch this show when it aired on TV. Waited for the DVD so I could watch them as a continuous show. I knew it would be a good show, but it turned out to be an excellent show. I really was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
