its a fun and different setting for the series. and playing as a pirate is fun. the ship battles are surprisingly fun. and the up-resed graphics are pretty.

I am new to the series and picked it up as there are only so many option on X1. Definitely worth picking up if you are looking for a good casual action adventure. I particularly enjoy the naval battles and the Kenway's fleet mini game is pretty fun too. The crafting system is a little dissapointing. After only a few hrs of gameplay, you can max out most of the your character's gear and your ship. The scripted actions (climbing / jumping) are a little less predictable than I would like. I found myself aiming for a point well within leaping distance only to veer off and miss it completely and fall to my death. Better controls and deeper crafting would have pushed this to 5 stars for me.

I had to buy a new tablet so I could run the companion app with this game. Such a huge open world game if you loved AC3 you must buy AC4!!!!!! Ahoy mateys!

Amazing game! I'm one who will search out all the collectibles and do all the side missions as soon as possible in the game to prolong the experience and make sure I go into the final missions at full strength. Big improvement over previous AC games, and the underwater diving bell missions were a nice touch. Ship to ship combat is phenomenal, made me think of an old Pirates game I had on 5.25" floppy disk. Already digging into the Freedom Cry DLC also!

Good to play, starts fast, lots of action and moves right along. At the time I have available to play it's going t take a long time to work through to a successful conclusion.

Overall a wonderful game and addition to the Assassin's Creed series. The open-world is fun and exciting to explore with enjoyable ship-to-ship combat, harpooning various sea-life that fights back just as hard, and tons of action all around. Some of the side objectives, including some optional tasks to do on story missions can be a bit annoying as they can be a bit more nit-picky than enjoyable; however, overall it is a great story line and missions with a bunch of different ship and character customization available to buy and find.

Great game, love playing on new xbox one. Awesome graphics and action just wish I didn't have to buy all new games for xbox one.

Amazing open world game with tons of quests/exploring and phenomenal graphics. Best the Xbox One has to offer at this point.

I'll keep this short and simple as there's really not much I need to say about this game. Whether you're a fan of all the Assassin's Creed installments or, like myself, thought that the last few games were boring and uninspiring, I can safely say that this iteration is highly entertaining. I feel a renewed sense of interest in the franchise, which I didn't believe I would feel again. 4/5 stars for me, and I'm very much looking forward to Assassin's Creed Unity this fall. One just has to watch the preview videos on Youtube to see why any AC fan would be excited.

Black Flag is the ultimate Assassins Creed game of all of them in the series, graphics, story, and features.

I have really enjoyed AC4! It is great on next Gen console and is hours of fun. I am about 50% done at the time of this post and cannot find a single thing wrong with the game. The only thing (just a nit picky thing) is it will take tons of hrs to complete. I really love the bang for your buck video game and unlike Ryse: Son of Rome, it delivers to that end. Just be prepared to spend hrs and hrs in front of the tv(yeah like thats a bad thing).

Pretty solid game for newer gamers. Nothing too groundbreaking here if you started from the first game. Maybe it's just me. Not a total waste though, decent enough.

I've played every Assassin's Creed game and this one takes the cake. Ubisoft has taken all the best elements from the previous games and has created a visual masterpiece. Upgrade your very own pirate ship and take to the seas in amazing ship to ship battles, boarding your enemies and plundering their loot. The gameplay is fluid, the graphics are stunning, and the missions are challenging. If you've ever wanted to experience what it's like to be a pirate, this is as close as you're going to get.

I haven't played an AC game in a long time, but this is easily my favorite. Graphics are amazing, and the story is great.

I held out a long time waiting to get bored enough to pick up AC. I've been missing out, it's such a cool game! Also Best Buy is awesome for price matching Amazon!

Love the series, I have one complaint with this game is the button configuration throughout all the games are alittle confusing, I was hoping they would simplify it alittle more, overall fun game

Being a pirate was pretty fun. Overall, there are tons of missions to do that don't necessarily coincide with the storyline, and they are all great. My favorite is taking down all of the forts. The game was done very well, but the storyline seemed a little choppy, hard to figure out everything that was going on. By the end it was fine, but the whole beginning felt like the main character became an assassin within 15 seconds, with no prior knowledge of their existence.
