Here is a helpful video that covers more in details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPC3sk94PfA Overall Thoughts: The Astro A10 is a great entry level gaming headset for $60! This is Astro's first entry-level gaming headset and now competing against others such as the HyperX and Turtle Beach, which are budget friendly gaming headsets as well. The Astro A10 comes in Blue for PS4, Green for XBOX ONE, and Red for PC. However, all of these headphones will work for any console or PC. For example, you can buy the Blue one and use it for your XBOX ONE or buy the Green for your PS4 so it just depends on which color you like. It comes with a 6.5 foot cable, which is detachable, and also has the in-line volume slider. So overall, the Astro A10 gaming headset are very impressive offering nice features, but are they the right headset for you? Let's discuss! As far as the design, the Astro A10 gaming headset is mainly made out of plastic and looks very sleek and has a clean finish!! The only part that does not look the best is the headband on the top because it has a rubbery cheap feel and not the most flashy pair of gaming headset. It's not a big deal but just something to take note of. As far as flexibility goes, the Astro A10 very flexible and has a really nice range of motion, you can really stretch these and twist them a ton. Also, the A10 is very sturdy and won't break easily because they were designed very well and tough! Comfort wise, The A10's are pretty comfortable. The memory foam ear cushions have a plush feel to them and are very soft with great padding support around the gaming headset. The top padding is the part that could of been improved because it's not long enough so when it sits on your head, it covers a small portion. The smaller ear cups may not feel comfortable for everyone, especially if you have bigger ears because it may not be big enough. Overall, I would say the Astro A10's are pretty comfortable. If you are going to be gaming, you can easily wear these for hours and hours with not much discomfort. So next is the sound and microphone quality, a factor when trying to decide which gaming headset to pick. The sound is definitely impressive when gaming. You can hear things such as footsteps very clearly which create a competition edge over the opponent. When driving racing games, it sounds very clean and you can hear screeching tires and engines which create an immersive gaming experience. Now I will say the sound is not anything over the top when it comes to music. It's not going to have a ton of bass, detailed mids and highs, and provide any sort of clarity. The Astro A10's are just a great pair of gaming headset to put on and start gaming! As far as the microphone, it's pretty good and performs well. When you talk, friends will be able to hear you clearly while gaming. I wouldn't say it's the best or anything but it definitely gets the job done. If the mic is too close to your mouth, then it may sound a bit muffled but if you just tilt it away a little, then you won't have to worry. Overall, the Astro A10 gaming headset have great sound microphone quality for gaming and definitely impressive. Overall, the Astro A10 gaming headset is outstanding for $60. The A10 has a very sleek design and provides a lot of flexibility where you can really stretch them out and twist them a lot and won't break easily. They are pretty comfortable and can easily be worn to game for hours and hours. The sound and microphone quality are very impressive when it comes to gaming and can provide an edge against the opponent with the clean sound. The Astro A10 may not sound the best for music but these are mainly for gaming which in that category perform very well. The best way to summarize is that if you're on a budget and looking for a gaming headset then the Astro A10 are a great option to consider.

In a world of pricey headsets ...

Gaming headsets can be an interesting case study in the art of price & features! It's easy to find headsets either in stores or on-line for $150 or higher. I've owned the PS4 since launch & had used the PS4 Gold Wireless headset until the hinges failed (which is a well documented issue). It has a TON of features but can be pricey. During my trip to Best Buy I wanted something with a lower price tag as well as a wired headset. I'm a fan of wireless however I didn't want to mess with yet another gaming accessory where I had to make sure it was always charged. This brings me to my Dec 2017 purchase of the A10 headset. I stood in the headset isle at Best Buy reading headset reviews on my phone. The A10 included a wired connection & a price tag of $59.99 - both where what I was looking for. After having the headset now for over a year I would highly recommended the A10 to any gamer or parent looking for a headset for their child. Having a less than durable headset in the past has made me cautious, however I can say the A10 has held up. I liked it so much I bought the Xbox version for my son. Stand Out Features: Audio Quality Noise Cancellation Wired Connection (no batteries needed) Comfort (well padded) My only "issue", if you want to call it that, is the lack of channel mixing between the game audio & chat audio. This feature is something the PS4 Gold headset does extremely well (the console offers this feature however it's not the same as a headset that splits the channels). The reason this isn't really an issue is this feature isn't something you'll find in this price point. The A10 also doesn't offer true surround (via either 5.1 or 7.1). Again -- this a feature set you won't find at $60. For these features games will need to look at headsets like the Sony PS4 Gold ($99) or Sony PS4 Platinum ($159.99) headsets or the Astro A40 + MixAmp ($249.99). Astro has always been known for their expensive headsets, but when this cheaper one was announced, I was skeptical. I watched some early YouTube reviews, and everyone praised this headset, so I decided to purchase this as my new one. This headset has the same audio drivers (minus surround sound) as the A40s and still sound awesome and can get pretty loud! They are a lot more sturdier than I thought they were going to be, and these are built to last for a long time. Youtubers were encouraged to put this headset in extreme conditions, some were bending, someone even slammed a door on them. Each resulted in them working 100% fine (although the door one scuffed up the headset a tiny bit but that's expected). The headset is also comfortable to wear for a long period of time. It obviously isn't the most comfortable thing due to its price point, but it does a good job at it and I enjoy it a lot. I recommend this headset for anyone looking to not spend a whole lot. This headset by Astro will give the others a run for their money. You can even convert this to surround sound if you want by purchasing a mix amp online, but then you'll have extra cords, but that is up to you. This headset is also very simple. Just a headphone jack is needed and this headset is compatible. I use it with my PS4, and my Nintendo Switch.

First off, I'd like to start by saying I understand this is a budget headset. That being said, I still believe there should be some sort of accountability for a brand name to be releasing a product. This headset is very uncomfortable. I have an average size head (wear S/M size ball caps) and these squeeze the life out of my head. Within about 5-10 mins they will give you a pressure migraine. I let a friend borrow them at a lan party, he said "no offense man, these hurt my head. Not comfortable or sound good." Sound quality. Well, being as it's a budget headset I can't say too much bad about it except it sounds like a single phone speaker on max volume in a tunnel... It has a bad echo, and no bass or positive features to the audio coming through the headset. The mic: The mic only works sometimes. During pc gaming, to enable the mic, you bring it down in forward position. It takes about 5 seconds for the PC to recognize it's on, then proceeds to let you use your voice. Many conversations the first few seconds of you talking are not heard by party members. If you use these on the Xbox controller, there will be a bad echo sound by just about everyone on the other end of my mic stated. The only reason these are not one star is I own another headset in this brand on the higher end that I use on a daily basis, and they work fine. These were bought as a backup to keep with my gaming laptop or Xbox for lan parties. Do yourself a favor, spend a few bucks more and get something with a better quality fit and sound.

I bought this headset with the hopes that it would be better than my turtle beaches. With all the hype surrounding Astro gaming and Astro headsets I just had to try them. I returned my Astro A10’s the day after I bought them because they were far too uncomfortable to play in for long periods of time. If you, like myself, have big ears the astros WILL NOT WORK. Be honest with yourself here, if you have the biggest ears out of all your friends you may want to try turtle beaches or hang on to your receipt. The Astro A10 headset had great quality sound, my friends said the mic sounded very clear, seemed like an extremely durable headset, just uncomfortable around the ears. I used my Astros for about 3-3.5 hours the day I bought them and my ears were killing me. I brought home a pair of turtle beach recon 200’s the next day and played 7+ hours straight in that headset. I can tell no difference between the sound quality of the A10’s or the Recon 200’s

I bought these along with the Arctis 3 (wired) headphones, to try out both and see which I preferred. I ended up keeping both (see my other review). I preferred the Arctis 3 over these for the overall design, but these are great too. The sound is nice and the mic works great. the mic flips up and out of the way, but I like how the Arctis hides back inside the earphone itself. Just a personal preference. These are a little bulky...?... they kind stick out a bit. But surprisingly, they are not heavy or uncomfortable. Ears get warm after several hours of wearing, but I feel that way about most headphones. These sound great with my cell phone too, but no way am I wearing these outside (nerd alert). These are decent low priced wired headphones, don't expect top tier quality, but they are definitely worth the price.

The Astro A10 headset is Astro's first entry in the budget priced headsets. I grabbed this to replace my 2 year old Sony Gold Headset. In a lot of ways, it feels like a strong upgrade. In a direct comparison: I miss the Gold's wireless factor, but love how the A10 does not need charging, ever. The A10 also has a mic that is not removable, but my friends online say that I sound way better. The ear cups are a little smaller than the Gold, and I will say that for the first few times I felt a little uncomfortable but now I can wear them for quite awhile without any issues. The fact that I never have to worry about charging and that I sound better make me happy with my purchase. I recommend them.

I was waiting to get the A10's for about a month after seeing they were announced. I really didn't want to blow a lot of money on a pair of headphones, since I have nice listening headphones and these would just be for gaming with my brother. The feel is not bad. Foam on the ear doesn't squeeze the ears and is relatively soft. The plastic on the band feels stronger than turtle beach headphones at the same price. The mic is not flimsy. The sound quality is quite nice with good staging for hearing noises in the game. It's very bright and clear sound. The flip-up mute feature is nice and the inline volume is subtle meaning it won't feel like a big block in the cable. Plus the versatility for my Xbox one and ps4 Pro make it a great choice. For $60: It's a really great headset. I would highly recommend.

I hate to admit it but I was a little skeptical on buying these at first because of the mixed reviews, but I'm glad I did because I'm very pleased with how this headset performs so far. Pros: - Very comfortable, you will have to adjust the headset accordingly if you have a bigger head, but overall it's pretty comfortable. - The sound quality is amazing, I used to own the Turtle Beach X12's until the screws on each side of the headset keeping it together broke, but the Turtle Beaches never had this good of sound quality, honestly impressed with how efficient the headset is money wise. - Adding onto the sound quality, the bass kicks SUPER hard, honestly love it because it just sounds good, but I thought I'd add that just because.

I walked into my local store and told the employee that I needed a headset for PubG, but didn't want to spend too much. Without hesitation, the young man took me to this headset and said that they are the best bang for the buck.they we're sold out of the Xbox branded headsets, so thank God they are universal. OMG they work very well. It was like I had been missing a large chunk of the game when I was playing without a proper headset. That's how I would describe these. A proper headset for 60 bucks. Sturdy and comfortable. Sometime I go to lan parties at a buddy's house. They pack in a laptop bag with my Xbox one without breaking. I wear them for hours without them feeling like a vice, and they don't loosen over time either. The sound is very detailed and directional. I'm sure there are better headsets out there, but seriously doubt that are at this price point.

I need to use headphones at night when I'm gaming or watching videos on my Ps4. Thus being said, I purposely fall asleep with them on. Other headset would have broke after several months but I've had these for a few years now and it's still in almost perfect condition. However there are a few things that I don't like. It will get very uncomfortable on your ears after a while and will become sore. The mic is designed very poorly, I would much rather have a retractable mic with a mute button than the setup it has. If your buying a headset then spend the extra $10-$20 to get a headset with better sound and mic quality

Currently use this for my PS4 Pro, and the overall quality of the headset is very good. I've used a few other headsets in the past, and they are either very uncomfortable to wear for long or don't last. Sound quality is very good, but of course won't compare to anything you'd pay $150-200 more for. I've had this headset for almost a year now and I don't really have any complaints. But if I must nitpick.. Cons: -No physical button to mute headset (must flip up the mic) -Could be a bit louder -Headset wire a bit too long Pros: -Build is pretty solid -Super comfortable to wear for extended periods of times -Glasses friendly -Good mic quality

This is the first headset I have owned. It is great to be able to converse with your friends while playing games with them online. I have not had any connection problems. I have wireless controllers so I didn't see the point in spending another $30-$40 on a wireless headset. I just plug the cord from the headset directly into the controller, which still allows me to move about freely. The sound quality is great as well. I can hear the tears drops falling as I hang fiddy on my friends in Madden.

I spent a ton on the A50 (wireless) and it was a horrible experience. The mic made me sound robotic and for whatever reason I would spend 4-5 hours charging and get 30 minutes of use (this happened again after I exchanged for a new one). I bought the A10 even though my thoughts on the brand were tainted and I have to say I’m enjoying these. Sound doesn’t get super loud but it’s comfortable and works the ways it’s intended to.

I bought this headset for my PS4 recently and I love it. Before now I had the $15 turtle beach cheap headset and moving from that cheap one to this luxe one is life changing. I’m hearing things I never heard before. And the ear pieces are hella comfortable for my head. My favorite feature is the way that you mute yourself. You just lift the microphone part and it mutes you. There is no hassle of accidentally hitting he mute button while you game. It is perfect.

After the first day of use, they're really comfortable and sound great. Definitely an upgrade from my Turtle Beaches XO Ones. I have an xbox one, but I prefer blue over green, and after messaging the Astro people directly, they said the only difference between the Astro 10s for xbox and ps4 was the color. I bought the 2-year warranty on it as well, so I'll update this review if I have problems within that time.

Bought this as a gift for my son to use across his multiple devices. However, it doesn't make it clear that a splitter is necessary to use this on his PC, so he would have to choose between having sound or having use of his mic. Of course, the splitter is available on the manufacturer's website as an additional purchase, but we were able to exchange them for a pair of Turtle Beach headphones that included the splitter and was a bit lower and cost.

I bought this headset to plug directly into my controllers without the need of a mixamp. For that purpose it works well since it has volume control and flipping up the mic to mute works great. The biggest drawback with this headset is that it gets uncomfortable after long gaming sessions, the headset starts putting a lot of pressure on my ears and I have to take it off as it starts to get painful.

These headphones worked out great and are about what you would expect for the price. If you don't want to spend the crazy amount that wireless headphones cost then these would be a good substitute. Had a slight problem with them when they were set for just party chat, I couldn't hear anything out of the right headphone. But, when you have them set up for all game audio they work just fine.

This headset produces excellent sound and is extremely comfortable. Easily as good as the higher priced and very popular Astro A40's. I do wish that there was a mute switch in line instead of having to raise the mic to mute. You also may want to invest in the mixamp if you want to further customize the game and chat audio levels. Oh, don't forget these are universal... just because the blue ones say they are for PS4 doesn't mean you can't use them for XBox or PC as well.
