The headset is very comfortable, much more than the TBs I previously tried (I have a large head). The sound is awesome too. It's very good for being stereo. The mixamp adapter controls are easy use. The only reason I left a 4 star review is the bottom of the adapter is bulky and will take some getting used to.

After having a hard time finding this headset around town. I finally found them in the Best Buy in another city. I read reviews and watched videos on youtube about them. I never owned a pair of Astros before. These couple of weeks that I've had them. I'm starting to wonder why I haven't gotten Astros from the start. This particular headset has amazing sound.( With Stereo sound that sounds like surround). It's customizable with the magnetic ear tags. The upgraded Astro MixAmp and M80 to fit in the Xbox one control is great! No need for the additional accessory from Xbox one. All the different ways to adjust voice, game sound volume and master volume. Not to mention the 3 presets that it has as well. It looks nice and performs very well. I like that the only wire is the one going to the controller and headset. No tripping over wires going to the Tv. They are comfortable as well. If you want use them for your music headphones you can do that too. The only small issue I have with them is they are just a bit heavy. Overall they are great and you won't be disappointed. These are really great sounding headphones. It is amazing what you don't hear when just using audio from the TV versus using gaming headphones. Excellent quality overall. Audio is outstanding. Controls are easy to use since they are right in front of you. My only issue is the fatigue that comes with extended use. If they were just a tad bit lighter these would be 5 star. Definitely would recommend these.

These are probably the best gaming headphones I have had to date. The sound quality is unreal and the mixamp is awesome and easy to control. Let's put it this way, if there is a lightning strike in a game, I for a second think it's outside because of the sheer sound quality.

My son loves these. He heard they were the best and couldn't wait to get them. He has extremely sensitive hearing and is very particular about his headphones. I can't believe I'm saying this but t's worth the money.

Honestly one of the best gaming headsets I have owned. I have had turtle beaches, tritons, and nothing matches the sound quality especially on Black Ops. Gives you a tremendous advantage over opponents.

I've had my headset for about a year now and it's still awesome, pros and cons. Pros: Great sound quality, comfy, does not get hot, cord looks good on controller with convenient buttons that adjust the volume between voice or game, comes with a auxiliary cord, plug it to your phone. Loud Cons: Speakers may go out if constantly on full volume, sometimes a loud noise is made over chat(most others do this),I had turtle beach xo 7s before they are both equally the same, however the xo was louder and bass features but also not as good sound quality so when you have a bad guy behind you it sounds different.

When looking at this headset I was skeptical of its sound quality primarily because it was not 7.1 Dolby; however, I was completely wrong. The following is included: A40 wired headset, A40 microphone (detachable), MixAmp (puck that plugs into the control), ASTRO speaker tags, 3.3' A40 audio cable (used to connect to other devices) and 1.6' micro USB cable (used to update the control if need be) Pros: style, sound quality (for being stereo), comfort, ease of use, and overall build quality. Cons: Price, not 7.1 Dolby, color scheme. Breaking down the cons: If you know ASTRO, you will know that their build quality and for this price you are definitely getting a great product. If you are interested in 7.1 Dolby, you will have to upgrade to the A50 $300 wireless version. Lastly, while I do not mind the current color scheme, I do wish there were more options as there are with the A50s. Overall, if your budget is under 200$ then this headset just meets that mark. When looking at other headsets in this relative price point (XO Seven ($160) or Polk’s – 4 Shot ($160)) I would have to say this is the best headset I have tried. The comfort level is amazing, super lightweight does not hurt my head wearing it for hours on end. Sound quality is fantastic for being stereo.

Bought this as a gift for college age son, he picked it out and uses it for gaming, good quality

sounds are fantastic. just as good as beats and bose. mixer add great quality to audio and they fit very comfortable. my son uses them for music also. only cons is its wired to remote so my son is always pulling on it . and it blocks sound from outside he always speaks loud

The headset itself is great, no issue. The M80 on the other hand, is next to worthless. I have a SCUF and elite controller, and it was a huge pain to switch back and forth between controllers depending on which game friends were playing. It fit very snug and is durable, but I was always worried about breaking it trying to get it to unplug. Not to mention the M80 is just garbage in general. I could hear foot steps, but the direction was all kinds of misleading and confusing. (some of the differences between dolby digital and surround sound and all that are easier to understand if heard instead of explained) I bought the mixamp TR edition and love it. Just pay a little more and get that whole package instead. Really, it is worth it 100%

Headset worked excellently and was a great improvement over the turtle beach set I had, my ears don't hurt anymore and the ability to kick one side open without removing the headset helps! Worked flawlessly

Had the turtle beach x07 but wasn't happy. Got these and love them. The m80 mix amp blows the Microsoft adapter away. I know they are stereo but it's like surround sound stereo. I'm told the a50 sounds better because of the digital signal but these work great for me and cheaper than the a50's. Works with the ps4 also!

These headphones are great, love them and they are comfortable too!

Astro sure got this one right. The m80 mixamp eliminates all the wires associated with their other mixamps

I bought these instead of the Turtle Beach XO Seven line; while the sound quality was great, even after firmwear updates I could not erase the problem of the microphone occasionally not working. In the ten days I had it before I returned it, the microphone stopped working twice, and once the headset would not recognize others chatting in game. This did not leave me with much confidence to keep the headset after the 15 day return policy was up, so sadly I returned them. Great looking headset (a little heavy), but I traded them in for the Turtle Beach Stealth 500x. So far, I have been very pleased with this headset (only played for about 5 hours with it) but it has worked very well in that time.

I'm a fan of turtle beaches but I must say these have better style and are more comfortable than my turtle beaches.
