We have tried almost every brand of headset in our household for xbox and playstation. This brand outlasts and outperforms all the others.It is also very comfortable. I prefer the wired so i don't have to deal with batteries. Wont buy anything else until someone comes up with a new and better design. Highly recommend.

Having the ability to customize my audio settings have never been easier with the mix app I'm able to quickly change my audio without ever taking my eyes off the screen and since it's wired I never have to worry about losing battery in the middle of a match and the sound quality is great

I have been a fan/customer of Astro since 2011. Their headsets are by far the most comfortable and best sounding I have ever used. I have tried a ton of different headsets including TurtleBeach, Tritton, Steel Series, and Razor to name a few and nothing compares to how good Astro headsets are. A lot of people mention how expensive they are and yes they can be a bit pricey. However there are a lot of other headsets that are similar in price or even more expensive but aren't nearly as good. There is a reason Astro is the number 1 headset used by console gamers. Bottom line is if you want a high quality headset with the best sound and build quality on the market, get some Astros. Period.

I read several reviews on Reddit and made the determination I wouldn’t purchase a gaming headset. Long story short, I opted for the A40’s with the amp and it’s awesome. Be sure to download the app on your computer and download updates/adjust the performance as necessary.

I wanted a great headset for my ps4, so I decided to get astro a50s those were terrible (at the time) and I decided to get the Sony ps4 gold headset which also didn't work, then I decided on this and i love them, they're wired but that's kind of a plus and the mix amp is awesome

I switched from the wireless A50’s to these and never looked back. The sound quality is amazing and not having to charge my headset is ideal for long gaming sessions. I had battery life and sound quality issues(sounded like a robot occasionally and cut outs) before the switch. The only problem I had with A40’s was a quick fix of updating firmware and updating the settings to streaming mode instead of home mode because of the harsh cutoff.

Astro makes the most comfortable headsets, the sound is awesome and exellent , if you dint mind the cables is one of the best headset , dont buy turtle beach .

If you want to get the most out of your gaming, this is your headset of choice. It is great for not only for the competitive gameplay when you need that extra leg up on the competition but also the gamer that wants to stream their gameplay for their fans and viewers. The audio is crisp and clear and the boom microphone comes in well for your teammates to hear your commands easily while drowning out the background noise.

So the week I bought these I had already bought 2 other pairs of headphones. The ones I had before were beyon repair and discontinued. I needed something else that was just as comfortable. As a gamer I were headphones for very long periods of time. The other two were not cheap but were uncomfortable after a while. (I have a big head, and yes you can laugh.) These are amazingly comfortable and the sound is beautiful. I don't know how I lived without 7.1 surround sound my entire life.

Great headset. Had an Astros A40 for my Xbox 360 and loved them so naturally had to get one for my ps4. Took me 4 different stores to find. But great sound and quality plus good to use at night so you don't disturb others with high volume off a tv.

At first I was having a hard time deciding between the astro a40 and the new turtle beach px24 and after a long time deciding I decided to go with the a40s although the price was quite high, I felt unsure but then again all of my turtle beach products the xp3, px12, and px22's never lasted so I bought the a40s with the warranty (just in case) but the headphones felt so comfortable than the turtle beaches and connected to my ps4 better than my px22s and the sound quality is great with this product i feel like it could last me a lifetime overall if you can purchase this product i find it worth it.

This headset is a little much for a casual gamer, but for any hardcore gaming fanatic they are a must. The Mix amp provides full control of your sounds as well as the ability to customize your sound setting from your pc. One of the best sounding headsets you can buy.

After having constant issues with a wireless headset from different brand, I started looking for a new one. Read a lot of reviews and did a lot of comparison. Finally decided on the A40's based on what I read and the features of the headset. I was initially hesitant because of them being wired, but the wires are more than long enough. No need to charge the headset. Great quality all around. From the packaging to the comfort of the headset. Earcup material is soft and comfortable even after wearing for awhile. Amazing sound quality and no issues with chat. Highly recommended.

Have been so tempted to buy this forever, even this Black Friday but waited. Finally my old headset broke and I grabbed this for $186 cheaper then I've ever seen

These are the best gaming headset i ever used! I was a die hard turtle beach fan prior to this generation gaming systems. I had the turtle beach xp500, turtle beach elite 800, and turtle beach px24. The first purchase i made with the ps4 was turtle beach's flagship headphones the elite 800. I was not so impressed. This trumps any turtle beach in quality, comfort, control, ease of use, and sound by far. They are even better than the previous gen turtle beach xp500's which where amazing. You will not be disappointed if you get these.

Before I purchased this headset, I was currently using the hyper cloud x headset and this headset is such an upgrade. First of all, sound quality is amazing, and the mic is much clearer to where I don't have to adjust myself so people could hear me. The cushion on the top is so nice and comfy, it feels very light weight and doesn't hurt my head after hours of gaming. I recommend getting this headset if you're looking for a new one, it'll be a huge upgrade and it's worth it.

I'm just going to cut to the chase. The build quality and sound are the best of all the headphones I've tried out for Sony (Gold) Turtle Beach (500) but the voice chat sounds like absolute mud unless you use an extra cable through the Mixamp and out to your controller. I would recommend spending more and bumping up to the A-50 if voice chat quality is important to you.

The padded earcups ensure that you can game for hours without discomfort. The closest you will get to 7.1 sound without having to spend bank on 7.1

I bought these for my boyfriend, he loves them. Said it is an amazing experience and will never go back to the Playstation ones he had.

Bought them for a friend, I've heard nothing but good reviews. The sound quality is amazing, and they're very good with blocking out any other noise. Worth the money!
