The sound quality is great but there are so many wires needed to get that quality that I eventually unplugged the Surround sound controller and plugged straight in to my Xbox controller. Now it sounds just like a $70 set of headphones. They are very comfortable for long sessions on the Battlefield but not worth the money in my opinion. I should have gone wireless. To get the Surround sound, you need an optical cable (included) as well as a USB power cable(included) and then your headphone cable. Just too many wires lying around for me.

I have always bought the $20-$50 headsets only to be disappointed in their quality. Something would always go wrong with them and I would have to restart the cycle of looking for another headset. I have had this headset for over a year and haven't had any problems. The comfort of the headset is excellent with sound quality to match. When I got these they were $249 and I was hesitant to buy them. But now I am very satisfied with my purchase.

was hesitant to shell out a lot for some headphones but Black Friday had them priced 60 bucks off so I thought I’d give em a try and glad I did. Blows my old turtle beaches out of the water hands down.

I use these for a blend of gaming and entertainment (movies/ music) and love them! They perform twice as well as my previous pair (Astro A40). The cups are very soft and can be worn for hours on end. The sound quality is superior to most other headphones I've experienced. The one slight negative is that the cable that connects the headphones to the Mixamp is a bit short, but it's manageable.

This headset is on next level. Based on all the headsets I have tried, this one beat them on all level. The sound is amazing thanks to the optical cord and the headset works. I like that you don’t need to connect a 3.5 mm cable into the controller. All connected to Mixamp and xbox. If you can afford it, this is a great investment for perfect sound and comfort. Will try out the mod kits and leather pads at a later date.

This is my 3rd set of Astros. Great product!!!! The tr is the best of the best. A must buy!!

I’ve had just about every headset you can buy for the Xbox one. This one is hands down the best for sound quality. I found the wires headset to be much better than the wireless for sure.

Excellent gaming headset with mixamp. This is my second pair after I gave my sibling my older pair as a gift. That first pair is 6 years old and still works perfectly. I bought this pair after I moved to Omaha and it is really nice. Sound quality is excellent and the mixamp provides many additional options. I have line-in sound coming from my PC and have the headset hooked up to my xbox one x for games.

I bought the older version of this 8 years ago and it was amazing. The sound quality and customizability are excellent and this product lasts. Furthermore, it really gives you an edge in gaming. I gifted it to my younger brother and bought a new set recently. The build quality remains phenomenal. Although it is pricey and never goes on sale, this product is worth it both in quality and durability.

I have always had turtle beach head set, but decided to try astro just because of all the hype. 1. These are the most comfortable headsets I have owned (which is a lot). especially with the available mod kit I dont think there are any more comfortable. 2. sound is really good but not quite as good when compared to my T.B. elite 800. The pre-made custom sound profiles are very limited.You do however have the option to make your own profile. That is nice.

Very comfortable headset. Sound is amazing but lacks loudness. Too many wires to contend with (3). Way overpriced

My son is horribly tough on headsets, probably gone through six pairs in three years. So far these ones are really good. But based on the price they better last a very long time

This is the best headset I have ever had. Headset does get a little tight after a few hours of gaming. Sound is amazing and u hear everything.

I've only had this for 2 days but I'm loving it. The headset is light and quite comfortable. I have not had the chance to test out the mic yet. Hopefully I will not encounter the problems that other people have. The sound quality is superb, lots of oomph. I love the MixAmp Pro TR with all the customizations and presets that can be loaded on it, plus having the volume and other knobs next to me is better, I can see what I'm adjusting.

Best headsets for PC gaming, in my opinion. The sound clarity when using the mic is far superior to any other headphone I've used in the past. Definitely a recommended buy!

Had turtle beaches forever and never thought Astros would be worth the money but was I wrong, combined with the Mixamp and the program for some fine tweaking these are worth every dollar

Best gaming headset for the money. Offers superb quality and comfort, very easy to set up and break down. I had owned a pair of A40s for about 5 years and needed to upgrade (only because I stood on the cable connecting the headset to the mix amp and that caused the microphone to wig out) so another pair of A40s was the logical choice. Their sound quality and comfort has increased since my initial purchase years ago.

You get what you pay for and these Astros are 100% worth it if you're a serious gamer. The build and sound quality of these are amazing with comfort that let's you game all day and the mix amp is amazing you can fine tone any sound. It comes with preset settings but you can connect it to your PC and customize sound and build your own preset that suits you for different games. Highly recommend
