These were the 2nd pair of headphones I've ever owned and they are the best I've had I can hear everything extremely clear and I def recommend

I was in the market for a new headset and did a lot of research. There are always a lot of great headsets to choose from but by far these are the best ones I’ve owned. Great sound and super comfortable the mix amp is perfect for partying up with friends and being able to hear the game and chat just the way you want

after trying a few options such as the turtle beach elite and astro a50, I decided to go with the astro A40s. The open back design and comfortable headset that surrounded your ear rather than sitting on the ear were the top selling points for me. If you use these with the mix amp that comes with it, you get even better sound and nice customizations

I've had them all even went away from astro but coming back to them I realized what I missed. Great sounding comfortable durable headphones. Plus with the new mixamp that the mic goes through the USB means no cables running into your controller so no annoying dropping the controller and ripping your ears off anymore.

The headset is great it fits very comfortably and sounds great but astro sells a mod kit and the mic they give you with it I personally had problems with ppl being about to hear me

Simply the best headset on the market in my opinion. No more annoying cables or adapters coming out of the bottom of your controller.

The sound that these produce is phenomenal. They fit nice and light weight. The mixer however, is an inconvenience. It's not attached to the headset or the controller. It is wired to the mixer as well so that gets in the way. The main issue is the mic. Playing with other gamers is a challenge due to the mic continually cutting out. Making it very challenging to relay info or even have a conversation.

My wife & I bought two of these to use while kids sleep to play RockSmith (learn guitar) and other games together. These are awesome. There is NO lag using RockSmith - better than our home audio system. We love the functionality of being able to connect an iPad or iPhone using the Aux port to hear the baby monitor while playing to not have to worry about taking some time for ourselves every now and then, but you'll need a TRRS cord, which the headsets don't come with. Best Buy does sell one, but it's 6' long... we found a short coiled one elsewhere. To connect 2 MixAmps to your Xbox One, you need an optical splitter. Unfortunately, Best Buy does not currently sell an optical splitter, but we found one easily enough on Am@zon. We went with the DotStone TOSLINK/SPDIF powered digital optical splitter and are very happy with with the audio quality & still no lag. The other nice feature of the headset is being able to connect the the MixAmp Pros together for a closed voice chat environment, so we can easily talk with each other through the headsets. Yeah, it's kind of an extravagant purchase, but it's a pretty perfect virtual parent escape.

These are an up grade to gaming headphones. If you want an excellent sound and gaming experience you owe a set of these to yourself.

Best head set I’ve gotten in a very long time it was on sale for 200 the sound is amazing if sound is important to you then this is a great pair to get hands down best pair so far and it’s compatible with windows and the mixer u can customize thru your computer and get really advanced with your settings

My son loves this headset. He says they sound great. They were kind of expensive but he said its worth saving the money for them

These are amazing... Works great for the computer and Xbox one, no need to switch back and forth to different headsets...love it

Love this headset the sound quality is amazing plus I like how easy it is to set up with the Xbox One almost plug and play. Mic sounds nice and clear but for the price you pay it better be good quality. I like the customization of them as well you can make them unique to your style. I would recommend.

Bought this headset not knowing that it's wired to the xbox not the controller.returned and bought a40 with mix amp m80. Before returning this headset I did play a game or 2 and the sound of this headset is amazing. Ive owned 4 or 5 sets of turtle beach headsets and a40s feel more comfortable on my my head after long gaming sessions. So if having wires strung across the room isn't an option then buy the astro a40s with mix amp m80.

I have spent many hours demoing the higher end console headsets available at this point in time. These Astros are by far the most comfortable available. Great functionality and decent EQ customization options available via the Astro desktop app. Unfortunately the numerous wires, hardware, etc., become too much of a hassle for me after a day or so. The wireless version would be the way to go for sure, but at a hefty price tag.

This product is definitely awesome! The sound is crystal clear and is totally worth the money! Grab a pair as soon as possible

Got these as a replacement for my older Astros. These are much better and the sound quality is amazing. My last set lasted along time and used them daily so hoping these will be the same. Also like that on this model you can replace mic older ones couldn't do that. So far I am very impressed and highly recommend

I have been a turtle Beach fan for all of my gaming headset career. Consider me converted. This thing is comfy, has great sound and has a mixamp with stream out options. Once I got it dialed in the stream sounds great without using a yeti mic.
