This headset, while slightly confusing at first, becomes very good in quality for the audio. however the microphone was something i was dissatisfied with as a content creator and streamer. It is not BAD quality, but i've had better from headsets cheaper. The sound overall is excellent delivering deep notes and clear vocals, with a good 7.1 audio. It is a bit bulkier in size but still light and confterable to use for hours on end. the battery life has lasted around 6 - 8 hours of continuous use in games and VOIP at the same time, and the range of the wireless is superior to anything i've tried in the past (around 50 feet away through 2 rooms with clear audio and talking) the dual audio channel feature for the computer works well if you want to record while using VOIP software and not have the two clash with eachother, being able to balance one more then the other. Overall I would have given this a 5 star rating, but i settled with 4 because of the microphone. Overall they are worth the price if you are looking for superior quality and flexablity.

After buying and returning several headsets, I finally took the plunge on these. I do not regret my purchase. Sound quality is superb, even for watching movies and listening to music. The ability to quickly change the volume balance between chat and source audio without having to use menus or a separate device is almost worth the entire price on its own.
Battery life is pretty good, lasting me about 8 hours between charges. It can be used with any console if you buy the correct accessories. Finally, if you are looking for a headset that works with any source, this is the one you want!

Bought these for my husband. He is a MMO gamer. He LOVES them. He had some doubts that they wouldn't sound as good as his sennheiser wired ones. Wrong! They sound amazing! He loves that he can jump up quickly to run and grab something from the kitchen and not have to take the headphones off. This may not sound like a big deal but when you are raiding in a game, and you are talking to your raid members, you need to be gone as little as possible and not miss out on what is going on in game. Overall, great headphones with great sound, and the wireless aspect makes his life easier.

Mic stopped working after 6 months

I had bought these when they were like 350 bucks. Nice sound, good mic and felt right in the beginning. I am a Pro streamer and will stream 6-16 hours daily, the headset starts to get pretty heavy but the worst part is the mic stopped working after 6 months! I check forums and reviews and downloaded the latest drivers and software but found they the soldering inside is bad. I don't think best buy or astro(since being bought out) will help me. get the logitech G933 instead. I have those as well and are lighter, more customizable, and the mic works lol the price is half the astro cost too

Best Gaming Head set on the market

These head phone are probably the best on the market. They are easy to set up. Make sure if using on a PC you have a digital optical sound output. The instructions are simple Windows 7, 8 and 10 recognize them right away. The sound out of these are great! I'm told the microphone sounds excellent when in games talking to others. Haven't really used for recording yet but will update when I do. I highly recommend all Astro products these are my third set. Had A40's and purchased these to use on a new setup. Range on these is about 50-60 feet. Battery last 8-9 hrs just like Astro claims. My other set is 2 years old and battery still last the same. They are easily charged with a micro USB.

I use these primarily for FPS gaming. I also listen to music and watch online streaming movies. In all those activities they perform flawlessly and I couldn't be happier. The controls can somewhat be a mystery since the user manual is rather sparse on details regarding its features. That being said, I would definitely recommend this headset to anyone looking for a higher end gaming audio experience. It also performs very well over long gaming/music listening/movie watching sessions as they remain comfortable and unobtrusive over your ears.

The Astro A50 Wireless Gaming Headset is a very comfortable headset for those who want to spend the $300.00 price tag. Although expensive, you definitely get your money's worth out of them. The headset itself isn't too heavy so i can basically wear these all day. The ear cuff fits perfect around my ears and the cushion is soft. Would recommend to people who are looking to buy a high-end gaming wireless headset.

I am not a gamer, I like movies and music. The large ear covers work very well with my hearing aids which I have to use even with headphones.
I have used these for hours with no battery problems, just charge them at night and the are ready for the next day.All sound ranges are very clear. Surround sound is great.
Takes some time to setup and a few days to adjust the way you want them.

Before this, I tried the Turtle Beach equivalent in quality, price, and promise of features. The Turtle Beach had some great features but in the end fell short and I returned them (worst buzz and low volume). These, however, have great volume, solid bass, and a very low buzz on loading screens and quiet times in games. its an acceptable buzz that can barely be noticed after a little while. If you have the money and want to spend it on top of the line headphones, these are it.

I really struggled to purchase these because of the price . My previous headset was a turtle beach, they sound great but after researching I found the turtle beach they sell now break because they now make the side of the headset out of plastic instead of metal ... And there is no in between... I purchased these and they have the most amazing sound and they stay charged for a long time ... Compared to turtle beach they feel like they are made out quality materials .. Pricey but you are getting the best

When my Sony Gold headset broke (something that happens often I hear) I decided to get something better. People online kept asking me if I bought a new headset. My old one made me sound much more muffled. The mic is able to do the job with much greater quality. Functionally it's really easy. though it would be nice if it could get power from somewhere other than the front of my PS4. I guess any powered USB would work. The optical digital out audio cable from the controller box requires an input to whatever is going to handle your sound. Works perfectly with the PS4.
Also, download the updater application and update the firmware before you even try to use it. It did not work until I read that you had to update the firmware before using. Once I did that, it worked instantly!
I would love to have the model with the swappable batteries, but I'm only willing to pay so much. My MoFi blue headphones are for listening to hifi music. This is for gaming, but if I had only this, it would be a great option for music too. Just no match for my MoFi Blue headset.

I did a lot of research before buying this thing, and most of my research was pretty accurate.
The actual sounds quality is spectacular. The base gets deep loud and rich when playing games or listening to music. However that's pretty much where the positives end here.
The mat finish on the headset is great, but the fabric around the earcups feels VERY cheap, and gets dirty easily. The buttons to control voice options a terrible and don't function intuitivly at all.
There are a lot of little issues that I could over look on this headset, because the sound is so great. The ONE thing I absolutely feel ripped off about is the Mic. There is no mic monitoring so you either have to have the volume on the headset low, or potentially yell just to hear what you are saying.
Bottom line, this is NOT worth the price tag. This almost cost as much asy ps4....far too many issues for the price tag. I would gladly spent $150 on this just for the sound.

This headset although expensive and I'm gonna use lazy grammar is a necessity if you do not want to be loud but sound crazy yelling and screaming in a silent room. Excellent surround sound and love the bass. It's pricey but I have no complaints and thanks to my 100ft charging cable, I don't have a problem when it's dying and I'm in a need of play time. Buy this if you love to game and if you don't buy it that's cool too. I understand.

The quality of the headphones are above and beyond any other competitor. However the are other things besides the durability worth mentioning. The headsets cords are not long enough to play while charging which is annoying at times. This product has also stayed on and lost volume for me several times. So it stays on and is unusable. I looked this issue up online and many say that all u can do is let the headset die and then charger it again to continue using

I was currently using the PX4's but having to plug into the controller to talk to people felt so old school. The sound and comfort with the lack of voice cable make the A50's the best set I've ever had. The only thing the PX4 has over these is batter life. If you plan to game all day make sure you have a USB extender on hand because after about 8 hours you're going to need to charge these bad boys up again.

My biggest issue with OTHER head phones is how the pivot points on the ear phones break.
With these ASTRO's this is not a problem. I had a pair of A40's that lasted for 5 years easy. The batteries finally gave up. I love the A50's the sound is great. Feels good on my big head. Blocks out a lot of sound from the room.
