Well built, sturdy, and a massive improvement on all of the other controllers that are out there. The price is a bit insane. I’ve had it for a month and I’m very happy, but I’m still waiting to see if it gives issues later down the road. For that price, it should be indestructible.

It’s got more weight on it than a regular controller. I have had problems with other after market controllers put this one is much better quality. Very durable .

When I got my first real gaming PC from Best Buy I felt the need to get the best possible gaming controller. That is what I ended up getting. Unfortunately, I barely use the poor thing, so I kind of flushed $200 down the toilet. The controller feels great, it works very well wirelessly or plugged in, and it comes with a neat case and accessories. My only qualm would be that the main buttons are labeled by Playstation conventions, but PC games almost always refer to X-Box controller buttons. I still have no idea what geometrical shapes correspond to A, B, C, and D. Actually, it would also be nice, especially at this price, if it came with some RGB lighting so you could see what you're pressing in the dark and so you could match your system's decor. Overall it's a great controller, but at this price it's only really suitable for the hardcore.

No qualms but price to extravagant. I ended up returning because the upgrade did not match the price. Very high quality and packaging, just would prefer around $120-30 max. Not the price of almost an entire console.

I had to really play with this before giving my review. Pros: - Great build quality - Nice heft - Swappable sticks Cons: - Feels heavy during a long session - Face buttons seem mushy - Battery doesn’t seem to last 12 hours

Astro C40 TR is a rock solid PS4 controller. Feels really good in the hands. Performance is fast and accurate. Modular design allows to swap and re-arrange modules (third-party options available too). Note that wireless mode is via WiFi module (not regular bluetooth) so is faster than regular PS4 controllers when used on wireless mode. However I prefer to use it wired via a USB cable for the best performance. Much better grip and feel in the hands, excellent performance, really enjoying the Astro C40 (^_^)!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Quality itself feels heavy out the box and the design is very sleek. I was debating whether or not to purchase since it's a high dollar controller. But let me tell you it is worth it. This fits in my hand very naturally I play PS4 everyday 7 days a week. I never liked the small Sony dualshocks. So this is definitely an upgrade. Been getting way more DUBS on apex with the extra Under Left and Under Right buttons that replace paddles. Without bashing another company this controller EXCEEDS the popular "modded" controller with paddles..

Very well build and everything you would expect from Astro. Excellent feel and very customizable. Trigger sensitivity and analog sensitivity is adjustable. Very easy to setup and customize (USB to your computer, not sure how this was a challenge to others...) Two things would make this perfect for me, if the triggers could be customized as more of a mouse click and possibly two more buttons in the back. That is me being picky though, overall this is an excellent controller and the best so far (own an aim which is also very good but have had issues).

I have owned a scuf controller and a Razer controller. Both were great when I first got them but over time you really saw their flaws. On both of the controllers actually the sprint button stopped working. The build quality of the Astro controller is crazy. It honestly just feels like it will last forever. One other thing I really like is the placement of the buttons on the back. Super comfortable and easy to use. Thanks for reading this review and I would highly recommend this product.

Have been using since Aug ‘20 on PS4 Pro, love that you can change setup to the “Xbox” style stick. Best part is the two bottom buttons, keeps my right thumb on the stick more and not pressing as many buttons - real edge in many competitive games. Got some stick drift, Astro eventually replaced the stick mechanism, there are also after market stick options. Very easy to tear down, clean and fix, put back. Too many hours on Warzone with this.

Love this controller! It's super comfortable and the extra buttons on the bottom of the unit are a nice touch. I originally bought this controller because the Duelshock 4 is way to uncomfortable for my gigantic hands and I feel that this was way Worth the price tag. The modules are pretty sweet. I prefer the Xbox layout, so that's a plus. The software is also really nice, it gives the controller even more customization. I plan on buying more of these after the pandemic.

This is one of the if not the best controller I’ve ever owned. Lightning fast response...has a dongle that you plug into ps4, which is the only downside cause it takes up a port and if you’re anything like me....every port counts on a ps4, lol. It’s not a “true” bluetooth controller as they claim it is. Buttons and grip are comfy as heck....you can’t beat it..so join it. Highly recommended. If you’re viewing this item right now and reading the reviews on it....don’t even hesitate. just buy the darn thing!

Pros: connection and hook up works well either wirelessly or hardwired. The ability to modify the controller was pretty awesome and nice to be able to move the joy sticks. Cons: I have had a scuff impact in the past and I prefer the scuff over this astro controller. The size of the astro was too big. The spacing between the joysticks seemed further away maybe because of the thickness of the controller. Lastly, the placement of the paddles on the back of the controller cause me to accidentally hit them leading me to lose battles because of that. Paddles like the scuff or xbox elite controller have a better design on paddle placement.

This controller has a lot of customized abilities and feels good in the hand. It always left me wanting more, though. I think it is a step down from the Xbox One Elite controller.

Needs Bluetooth and needs 2 more extra buttons to make this fully worth the steep price tag. Other than that, it has great response, tons of customization and long battery life.

This is a great controller, the build quality is up to Astro standards. Modular sticks you can swap out when the wear out, easy to configure buttons, and metal stick posts, all good. I am a bit annoyed that the sticks, while modular, seem to wear out quickly. I play a lot (like 20+ hours per week) and my first set of sticks lasted maybe 3 months before the sticks needed to be replaced. I will say though that scuffs will have issues that quickly, and at least with the c40 you buy a $25 stick instead of another entire $200 controller. It's a great controller, so as long as you know that, they are perfect.

Ordered online. First controller arrived, worked great until the battery got low. Then I discovered it wouldn't maintain a usb connection. Constant drops in wired mode, and failed to fully charge. Sent it back and reordered - can't comment on that process yet as I just returned it and haven't gotten a refund yet. The 2nd controller has worked flawlessly thus far. Control and customization are great, battery life is good, ergonomics are excellent.

This controller is incredibly well-made, but too over-the-top for even dedicated gamers. I don't think it's worth $200, and it has features I'll never use.
