Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the C40 TR Wireless Controller's excellent build quality, comfortable design, and extensive customization options as significant strengths. Many appreciate the responsive buttons and satisfying weight, enhancing the gaming experience. However, some users report experiencing stick drift and find the controller's price to be a significant drawback. The size of the controller has also been a point of contention for some customers.

    Stick to standard controllers

While I love the feel, look, and customization this controller has to offer, the one big issue I have is the delay. I've noticed that the buttons lack the immediate responsiveness/feedback the standard PS4 controllers posses. If you're trying to block, break, or do anything that requires an immediate response I often find there being a delay, or a complete lack of response. It may just be a faulty unit, but it's a faulty unit that's going back to the store.

    Great Concept / Poor Performance

I had to add my experience to the others here because at $200 for a controller, it has to be well reviewed no matter what the experience was. I purchased the controller the middle of April and within 3 weeks of moderate time spent (5-10 hours a week), my left thumbstick went - specifically the L3 functionality. I am primarily a FPS player so there is a good chance issues wouldn't arise so frequently for more platform style players, but this is a tournament style controller and is meant for competition style games. I followed tips I found online about the issue and moved it to the right side and reset the module and all was good until the right stick (original left stick) started drifting and dysfunctioning horribly in a day. Great concept of this controller to be able to change modules with ease, but it should not be required after a couple weeks. Might revisit purchasing this controller again or something similar once its been fixed to prevent such quick burnout. Bottomline is be very cautious when investing in this controller. Maybe make sure replacement modules are out in case similar situations happen. But unfortunately because of the cost and a main feature of replacing modules was needed within its first month I had to give it 1 star.

Great controller. People who complain about not being able to turn on the PS4 didn’t do research. Better than those trash scuf conttollers people are buying.

    Basic Uncomfortable

I liked the look of the controller but once I started using it didn't work for me. The shape's wide so my grip isn't great, doesn't rest comfortably in my hands while pressing L1/R1 so fingers feel strain. Kind of annoying that I couldn't use it straight out of the box. And the battery dies on you if you're not paying attention. The sticks have bugs, would not recommend switching them around. Left one got drift to the right so taking it back.

The company does not support its customers.

I had one of these controllers and after 2 1/2 months of moderate gameplay the controller began to malfunction. The right control stick would no longer center and would constantly rotate the camera on screen. The the L1 button would no longer register multiple repeated button presses so games like Division 2 you would not be able to consistently use abilities. The inside controller components can be moved but, in doing so the connection points are exposed and can corrode and get dirty. This is a poorly designed controller that again, after moderate play will fail and unless you paid an additional fee to a retail store you will have extreme difficulties having the controller replaced or fixed. When customer services was contacted over these issues I got no help or resolutions. The service representative "Nicholas" responded once and then only responded again to ask for a customer servey. I ended throwing the controller in the trash when I could not get their customer service to respond to my issues. I cation to anyone considering this company or device to beware and at the very least buy the extended warranty from a third party because this company does not support its products or customers. I recommend to any gamer to go with a better established manufacturer like Razer or Scuf if you are looking for a high end competitive device.

Easily better than my razor raiju! Sony doesn't give 3rd party accessories the ability to turn the console on!

Great, when, and if, you can get it to work.

Before purchasing this, please read ALL the forums where people are trying to get this to work. It will work for a while, then stop, and require hours finding what is wrong now. Mostly of the time it is the drivers, for which Astro has done zero to fix in the years since this came out.

    Uncomfortable and cheap feel

Very dissapointed with the way it felt. Looked good on the reviews and box but nothing felt comfortable to me and my family of gamers. We took 1-2 hours setting it up and it was very confusing to have to upload so software to make it work. I’ve played with other Pro controllers and this just doesn’t feel as comfortable.

Had this controller for barely over a month and its already bricked. Did not abuse it what so ever, just tried to turn it on one day to use and would not turn on at, no light, no indication that it was charging, nothing. DO NOT PURCHASE. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!
