Customers consistently note the C40 TR Wireless Controller's excellent build quality, comfortable design, and extensive customization options as significant strengths. Many appreciate the responsive buttons and satisfying weight, enhancing the gaming experience. However, some users report experiencing stick drift and find the controller's price to be a significant drawback. The size of the controller has also been a point of contention for some customers.

The price was worth the quality, durability, and customizability. The one thing I hate is the controller does not have a battery percentage indicator on the screen. For that oversight I removed two stars.

This device does everything it said it would do. Back buttons are great, wireless function has no lag, 2 different profiles for button layouts, grip material, swappable D pad and analog stick. It's an awesome device. But unfortunately I am returning it because the back buttons are placed right underneath my middle finger and I keep accidentally press the buttons. It may be a personal problem/experience on how I'm comfortable holding my controller but after trying to get used to the controller (3 days owning it, approx. 20hrs game time usage) my pinky and marriage finger will feel sore/achy during and after gaming. The device is great, so don't get me wrong. It's just not made for me, in a comfortable standing point.

The controller is ok. Not as responsive as It should be for this price. The ability to customize your controls and sticks is great, but I think the Xbox one elite controller does it better. It’s a decent controller but if I had it to do over again, I’d wait for this to be about $150 or less.

This is the only real option for a high quality ps4 controller. It's very expensive, but it has more options than you'll find anywhere else. Great feel to all the parts, and being able to switch button layouts with the flick of a switch is really awesome.

It’s expensive for a controller but if you want a good quality pro controller it’s probably worth it. I also have a scuf vantage which is the same price but prefer the Astro c40 tr.

Most customizable controller I've owned. Battery life is excellent. Make sure to update your controller. Only downside is not being able to see the battery level on the ps4.

For there not being a “elite” controller for ps4 this is about as close as you can get! Very premium feel, sold controls and buttons Only problem I’ve had are with the joysticks. Hopefully they get the bugs worked out but for there first model it’s good!

It's a little too big for my hands, but the ability to aim and fire at enemies in Call of Duty with clickable L2 and R2 buttons is so worth it. Programming the flipper buttons underneath was a breeze. And the USB cable is preformed to fit snuggly inside.

The kids like it a lot, the basic controllers are good enough, only bought this as a special gift. If money is of no concern, than buy one, if it is, then it may not be worth it as opposed to a good controller at a third the price.

Buying a 200$ controller sounded impulsive and just plain dumb to me, but I found out quickly that it’s worth the money. I’ve been able to customize it exactly to how I feel most comfortable playing. Being able to connect to my PC is also really cool! The controller feels amazing, and the extra buttons on the underside are extremely well placed. I got used to them in just a day. I love this controller. And that’s saying a lot for someone who grew up on xbox and hated Ps4 specifically because of their controllers. Money well spent!

It worked just like it was supposed to and it looks and feels great. My only complaint is that you cant remap the R2 and L2 triggers. That was my main reason for buying it so it was a little disappointing for me.

I love the controller. My first one had some stick drift thst couldnt be fixed with the astro program but best buy replaced it for me no problem. My only real issue is the sticks dont have much resistance, will probably switch them out for evil sticks in the future. The paddles are nice, easy to program and its very convenient that you can store up to 2 different button layouts on the controller, but my all time favorite feature is the trigger stops and being able to adjust the sensitivity of the triggers.

So I ended up returning this controller due to two faults but if you can live with them then I can recommend purchasing this controller. First of all, this controller is very expensive so I was surprised when I discovered these two faults. Here are the two main faults: 1) You cannot power on the PS4 with this controller. You will need to always go to manually turn it on or keep another PS4 controller nearby. 2) The paddles cannot be disabled or removed. I enjoy using the paddles for online competitive games but for single player games I like to play the game as they were meant to be played.

Pro: 1: Looks/feels amazing 2: High quality 3: Very easy to use Con: 1: Doesn’t startup PS4 from “Rest Mode” 2: Requires a usb receiver to be plugged to the ps4 when it’s a “OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION LICENSED PRODUCT”? Doesn’t make sense. 3: No more “battery life indicator” In PS4 screen.

Great controller but if you play FPS heavily get ready for stick drift. The software will help sert dead zones but after awhile the drift gets terrible. Sticks are replaceable but $20 a pop.

First of all, it feels nice. A bit big and heavy and I have smaller hands but I like the feel of the build quality and it's more comfortable than the DS4 w/ back attachment. But there's too many negatives for how expensive it is. 1) Two negatives I knew going in and I'm okay with: Isn't able to turn on the Playstation and requires a dongle which takes up a usb slot. Things I did not know: 2) It takes about as long to charge as the amount of time I use it. I appreciate the battery life over the DS4, but after a night of gaming, I plug it into the PS to charge and it's still charging when I wake up. 3) I just found out that this controller won't be compatible with PS5 games. I understand there's all this new stuff in the DualSense, but this is a licensed product that came out late in the PS4 life cycle that cost $200. I'm sure they could've found a way to make it compatible without all the new sensory additions. 4) I play a lot of Dreams which is heavy in motion control use. I have to calibrate the controller every time I wake up the system and open the game because of drift and often a few more times after. It's nice to have that feature because the DS4 drifts in the game as well, but not every time I wake up my PS4. 5) The controller loses connectivity while a headset is plugged in. I've only experienced this while in editing music in Dreams, but it happens pretty frequently. Haven't used headset much in any other game. And I don't mind playing with a plugged in controller, but the cable is not long enough for couch-play and the micro-usb end is unique to this controller so it's not convenient using a longer cable. I'm okay with flaws, but being this expensive and not being compatible with next-gen games after coming out so late is a huge disappointment.

This controller is comfortable, well built. No hardware issues after a month or heavy use. Easy to maintain. Would be 5 stars if you were able to adjust sensitivity of the axis sticks like other products. If there is that option, I didn't see in the one page instructions. The software download has minimal instructions as well. One other issue is that the axis paddles have a tendency to grind/harden after high usage. Feels like plastic on plastic rubbing at times. Had to use electronic safe cleaner to get it to stop. Can see buying extra paddles after a few months. The controller has its pros and cons. Might not be worth the high price, but it is better than the original system controller.
