I tried Afterglow A9, never had a clue when it was mute and when not. I tried turtle beach xo seven pro, turned out to be heavy and lots of distortions. Then I though lets go for the best itself, after all you get what you pay for! It is flawless, light, easy to connect, awesome 7.1 surround sound headphones. I thought of A50s as well but I usually forget charging those wireless ones. I love my A40 and the halo edition color theme s just awesome!

I've been looking at the Astro headset line for some time and finally received these as a Christmas gift and couldn't be more happier. The fit is comfortable and the sound is amazing. I own a pair of Turtle Beach PX4 (which are great in their right), but they can not compare to the A40 when comes to quality and enjoyment. The only down-side is the price point, but if you're willing to invest the money - you can not go wrong with the A40.

I have gone back and forth with different headsets for the Xbox one. Expensive ones and cheap ones, and these are the best. I have finally got the ones that I will stick with. They are really light and comfortable and they have great sound. The custom HALO design is an added plus for me as well. They look better than the standard ASTRO A40's. I would definitely recommend this product.

The A40's are not only great looking (especially when paired with the matching Xbox One controller) but they are the most comfortable headset I've owned. I've had two pair of Turtle Beach and the fabric used in the ear cups can be slightly scratchy after prolonged use. The A40 cups feel like a micro fleece blanket. I really like the mute button as it is large and lights up red to let you know your conversations are muted. The volume control knob is nice and graduated so you don't accidentally blow out your ear drums. The only downside in my opinion is that the A40 is not very bass-heavy but the sound is good. I would place the sound somewhere between wired (bold sound) and wireless battery powered (weak sound) Turtle Beach headphones. If you wear a headset for long periods of time, the A40 is tops.

These headphones are great ! My review is based on three key factors: 1) They're wired, but don't get in the way, and having them plug right into the controller allows me to play whenever--avoiding forgetting to charge them beforehand ! 2) They're very lightweight and comfortable on my head. 3) The mixer allows for the adjustment of the chat and music/ BG/ SFX, which various by game and the control is right there.

The sound is amazing. The controls work well. And it is light and compact.

I never really knew about the Astro brand until I recently purchased my Xbox One. I did a lot of research on the company and saw that they are legit, but a tad pricey. Although the price tag seems a little hefty, I promise you will not regret the purchase. Second to none sound quality and bass. Excellent for pretty much and game on the Xbox!

Best pair of headphones i have ever owned, there very well built, matches my Halo 5 limied edition Xbox One perfectly , the sound is very superb, nice low and highs, bass is perfect and playing Black Ops 3 , Rainbow 6 Siege and Halo 5 sounds phenomenal.. Would recomend for anyone.. Well worth the money

My second pair of astros , I got these headphones for my boyfriend as a gift since he's a twitch streamer and they are totally amazing. HD audio quility , personally love the halo edition colors . I would so recommend to get them if your a gamer you will be satisfied for what you payed for.

This headset feels like bunnies on my ears. The ear pieces are so soft, the sound is outstanding, and they look amazing. The only con would be that I cannot figure out how to get voice feedback so I can hear myself.

Sound is incredible true surround sound and can hear everybody walk up on u from either side. Only draw back is its not wireless and pricey.

Got this for my son. He loves them. They are comfortable and sound amazing. I liked them so much I had to buy me a pair.

Don't go wireless and pay extra. The only wire connects to the controller. The features are best in class and the audio is superb. Ive had turtle beaches and Astros but these blow everything else out of the water. 10/10 would buy again.

Great surround sound, feels very comfortable. Just all around amazing.

Great sound and microphone quality also very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, but I'm on my third set in less than a year. The top comfort pad snapped when I picked it up on one set and the mic went out in both ports on the other. Thanks to the Best Buy insurance I was able to trade them in for new sets.

Astro A40s are my go-to for gaming headsets. This is my second pair. Great sound, great product.

They are really good but I feel they're hyped up to much. I got them on sale so I have no complaints but I wouldn't ever pay full price for astro's.

Good sound. Well balanced volume between chat and gameplay volume. I would recomend them to all Xbox one users.
