Okay for the basics but couldn't support a zoom/google meet session for my kids school with consistency. I had to hard reboot it 1-2 times a day. If the participants are low in number, I'm sure it will work fine. But hey, it was less than $189 with a camera and all the items you need (not a bad price) but you get what you pay for I guess.

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you so much for your honest feedback. Zoom meetings can demand significant memory and processing power from your computer. Closing other applications, ones you do not need during the session, will help Zoom run better.
Mute your microphone when you're not speaking.
When your microphone is on, Zoom will devote part of your Internet connection to an audio stream for you, even if you are not speaking. Mute your microphone when you do not need it, and you will allow Zoom to use your Internet connection more effectively. If your instructor or moderator is okay with you doing so, start your video only when you need to show yourself on webcam, and stop your video when it isn't needed.
If you have any other concerns, feel free to reach out to us at Official ASUS North America support twitter at AsusHelpUS. We'll do our best to provide a quick resolution to your case. Your feedback is important as it helps with improvements to ASUS Support channels.
Thank you for choosing ASUS! Best Regards, Jamalie, ASUS Customer Loyalty US Support

I was looking for a small portable computer that would integrate with our smart home pretty well. Came across this one. I purchased a little iver a year ago and still runs like a charm. I actually use this device more than my touchscreen laptop I purchased. Great conouter.

With school starting, she needed a new Chromebook that was new to make sure it was working when needed, we had bought a used one from TigerDirect that was a horror story,(Do not buy from them Junk). Do not buy used when you can buy this one for a little over $200.00 with an 3 year warrantee. She loves this chromebook.

This is an OK entry level Chromebook for our 6th grader. I had to perform a factory reset when it started to power itself down in the middle of my child's class Zoom meetings. For $120, I am not surprised nor too upset. Battery life is good, camera quality for Zoom meetings is good, size and weight are great for an 11 year-old.

It’s a Chromebook. Fast easy to use! Great for surfing the web. It’s fast especially for web based applications. Low end model but it gets the job done. It does what I need it for. Press of a button already on and surfing. Excellent for kids to do online assignments. Do your research!

It’s so much lighter and faster than the old laptop! Daughter needed this for distance learning for school and we were tired of her complaints about the slow laptop. Her school uses Chromebooks exclusively and this was a great price and performing as expected.

Lightweight, speedy, and great for kids. We bought this for our son to use in grade school, and it worked out perfect. The integration with Google works out well since all his school files are on Google Drive and Docs, he doesn’t have to sign into anything else once he logs in.

I purchased 20 of these for students at my school. Every single one of these laptops have a problem while connected to their power adaptors. During use with an adaptor, the computer slows to the point that the system is unusable. The systems only become usable after they are running again on battery power. Also, the power supplies get extremely hot during usage. This might be a factor concerning this malfunction.
I would not recommend these systems to anyone that use their systems while connected to the adaptor. After looking at other online reviews, it is obvious that I'm not alone with suffering from this issue.
I'm not sure what I will do with these systems since we are a nonprofit school with limited resources. But, my advice would be to stay away from these laptops. Maybe this review will help others not make the same BIG and very expensive mistake.

Dear Kamikazi,
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this motherboard, and with ASUS Support. This is absolutely not the kind of experience that we want any of our customers to have. Can you please send me your RMA number so that I can investigate your case? If you have any pictures of the board before you sent it in for a repair, please send me those as well at [email protected] and include case #N201074132 in your email for reference.

It freezes quite often compared to what I’m used to, even with just 2 google tabs open, tho I knew exactly what to expect from a celeron, so I try my best not to overwhelm the processor. I purchased this for my daughter for virtual learning with Schoology, clever and zoom; she’s in the first grade so no heavy usage and it serves its purpose for what we need for now.
I had to reset it once by holding the power button and refresh button simultaneously once when it wouldn’t turn back on and it’s been fine ever since. It’s cheaply made (plastic) so I’m so glad I bought the protection plan on it, esp since I have a carefree six year old. Drop it once and you may need another one. She dropped it once when it fell off her desk, but luckily I was able to pop the screen right back in place within seconds. It worked fine, no permanent damage internally or externally so yea. Be careful

I was disappointed at first with this computer because the built-in mouse was not functioning well. I could not see the bottom of many online pages which was quite frustrating. Luckily, I bought a wireless mouse that was suggested as a separate purchase with the computer. The battery-powered mouse had a chip inside it that connects it to the laptop. Together they work great!

This is my 3rd Chromebook, therefore, using Chrome OS is not new to me. The computation power seems little lacking on this computer, I can see it hesitates little bit on some web sites with complicated design. However, it opens YouTube fast, probably because it's more optimized for Chrome OS. Other than that, the sound quality is good for its size, the display quality is decent which is expected for its price, the keyboard and touchpad are responsive. The overall build quality is good, and I like its appearance.
