I purchased this laptop because it was a good size and touchscreen. The price was decent compared to other brand laptops. It has a webcam so also good for online video chats I’ve had to do for school. Works fast and gets the job done for me. I haven’t had any problems or issues yet.

Pros: This computer works well for a student- it has the capacity to handle homework, zoom video chats, and research! The touch screen is super handy, the light-up keyboard is nice when I'm working on homework late at night, and the size/weight is perfect for fitting into my backpack and being hauled miles through campus! Battery life is also pretty long, so it lasts throughout lectures without needing charged.
Cons: the computer's speakers are horrible- they're built onto the bottom of the computer, so unless you're not trying to see the screen and you have the computer lifted up with your head underneath it, it won't project sound well enough. My iPhone at half volume is the same loudness as this computer. I can't have lectures or videos playing on it unless I'm leaning in and in a near-silent environment. I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to have fairly quiet speakers put on the bottom of the computer, but it's a pain in the butt when I need to listen to lectures or anything online. Sometimes I even have to borrow my roommate's computer for it. The other major con (and I read about this being an issue before I bought the computer, but didn't think it would be as bad as it is) is that the touchpad glitches out every couple minutes. It won't register that I'm trying to move the mouse, will click on things without me clicking, and is delayed in movement for a bit. I have to just not touch anything and wait it out, but it's extremely inconvenient when I'm trying to do homework or research or anything else, and I have to pause and wait for the touchpad to start working again. I know this is an issue with this computer because other people commented on it in the reviews, so just know that it's bound to happen (not sure why ASUS hasn't fixed it yet).
Overall it's fine for what I need it for, but it has some problems that make me unsure of whether I'd choose it again or not.

I used this computer for a little more than a year. You can do some light gaming (although I did manage to play Metro Exodus with not so shabby quality and good FPS), but where this computer shines is in portability. It is so light and I love how you can use it as a tablet. I never got a Stylus, but I read that you can use it with this laptop. It was a little annoying that at times it would get stuck in that mode, but I fixed it by turning off the setting to allow tablet mode. I used some programs like Eclipse and Vivado that at times did kind of made the computer slow, but only for brief moments. I did use it plugged in though. The only issue I had was with storage, I don't think you can upgrade this.

I was very skeptical to buy this laptop as there are hardly any reviews or ytube videos out there for this device. but for $450 this laptop is amazing. Its fast, good looking decent storage nice screen and not a terrible battery its perfect for the price. Btw upgrade it to windows 11 and sheesh it even feels more premium than with windows 10. I can honestly recomend this to anyone that needs it for school or just casual use. If you want to play games get yourself a good gaming laptop with the proper specs for gaming not a regular laptop so you are not complainig and leaving bad reviews.

This is an excellent little laptop with a huge amount of storage. It's lighting fast with no lagging. Excellent screen clarity. Lightweight and very easy to carry with you. Long lasting battery life. I would recommend one thing that the speakers were a little louder. Other than that excellent quality and build. I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone. Don't let the small price tag fool you because it is elegant looking and top quality build.

Great laptop for the price. Loads quickly and runs quickly for the basic tasks I use it for. Functions well as a tent, tablet, or laptop, but definitely on the heavier side for a tablet. Facial recognition is a little bit slow, but works well. Make sure you set multiple facial patterns to speed up unlocking (i.e. if you wear hats, take a picture with and without) Overall, happy with the laptop. Time will tell if the AMD processors can hold up. Would have liked to have more than 256 GB onboard for a hard drive, but external drives are cheap and can hold a lot more storage than bigger internal SSDs.

Purchased this laptop for my son who is a high school student. I was looking for an affordable laptop that was made from decent materials and not all plastic. It works great for his needs, which are microsoft office, YouTube, Netflix, and surfing the internet. The Microsoft hello feature is convenient for logging into the laptop. The battery life is excellent. He is getting approximately 7 to 8 hours of screen-on time. The touchscreen looks good with a nice amount of brightness. I would definitely recommend this laptop for handling your everyday basics and light productivity.

I had never owned an Asus before and was weary about using a brand that I was not familiar with. After reading reviews across the internet I decided to go for it because of the features and the price point. Bought this when it was on sale and received a student discount on top of that. For the price, I couldn't ask for anything more. The SSD is lightning fast, the tablet mode is responsive, and pairing this laptop with windows 10 and the bamboo ink stylus pen, I am able to do everything I need and more with comfort and ease like I've ever had before out of a laptop.

Excellent computer. Decent battery life, can be used in tablet mode. Although I don't think this device is built for gaming the AND Ryzen processor offers some versatility. Additionally, keyboard light, and it is quite. Do not get very hot even if you work 8 hours a day. A little heavier than other 14 inch laptops, still is very portable. Like the built is sturdy.

I use this computer mainly for light gaming and for some work and study items. This laptop is pretty awesome, very easy to use. It is lightweight, and the folding feature is great. The power button is small but honestly it's not as bad as people make it out to be. I will also note that just because it has AMD Ryzen 5 that it's just as good as an intel processor, or better. It has lightning speed and connects quickly to everything. I like the easy bluetooth capabilities and have zero regrets on this purchase.

the computer does all that is required to maintain communication during travel without the weight of my previous laptop. the shell is sturdy which is important in frequent travel. the only issue is the keys are the almost the same color as the body making it hard to see them.

I bought this during the covid stay at home order since I been doing a lot of work (... and play) from home and my old laptop took hours to start up and run.
I'm an average laptop user who wants to think I know a bit more about them than normal but in reality it's all tech speak that I don't totally understand. At the end of the day, I just want a laptop that works, is fast, and doesn't die at the smallest task.
I did a lot of research to figure out what I wanted vs what's on the market and realized that for the specs I wanted, this is the average price I'd pay.
So far its working great! My cat sheds a lot and when hair lays across the touch pad, it has a hard time reading my finger-I quick blowing of the pad will fix that.
The cord seems to heat up while charging so I'll keep an eye on that-but given the current state of affairs, it's getting used for 10 hours at a time. It's bound to heat up.
It's a great weight, wide screen, good colors.i didn't think I needed the touch screen or 2 in 1 aspect but its a fun addition.
After going back and forth and back and forth, ultimately you have to make a decision; so far Im happy with this one!

I got this computer at the end of March due to having to work from home and homeschool my kids. I love how the computer is light weight and easily flips from a computer to a tablet and back with ease. I like the option to have face recognition, password, or pin number. The computer moves at lightening speed. Only thing I wish I could figure out is how to turn the computer on from sleeping mode without having to hit the power button every time.

That being said, I would NOT buy this at full price. I bought this because I needed a new computer for school. I've never really been a fan of 2-in-1 devices, but this plus a stylus makes it a solid contender for note-taking, programming, and some gaming here and there.
It is indeed a decent laptop, there is only 2 things that I find super annoying, the first being that the actual amount of RAM is closer to 6GB because 2GB's of it is being used internally by the CPU (could just be an AMD quirk though). The second is that it is unclear how upgreadable this device is, there are no tear-down guides for it and Even Asus themselves are unsure how upgradeable the RAM is, but supposedly the SSD can be swapped out.
All that being said, the 1080p screen is superb(a MUST these days), the backlit keyboard is excellent, the USB-C port is a nice feature for 2019 (don't try to charge with it though! it doesn't actually support charging over USB-C), and while it uses the barrel jack connector to charge, luckily it is easy enough to find after-market chargers for it.

I've only had my Asus for about 3 weeks, I'm not a gamer - just use for surfing the web, finding info, storing snaps and such. Very attractive design, compact, fast startup with the SSD hard drive. I love the touch screen and backlit keyboard - these were two features I had on my last laptop. Last laptop was a Toshiba satellite E55 ultrabook, would not recommend a Toshiba to anyone. Loving the Asus so far!

I wanted to like this Laptop but...

I've wanted to like this laptop so much. It's small and lightweight, touchscreen is very helpful in taking notes, it's a good laptop for school use. However, I have already made an exchange with the same model of this laptop twice.
The first problem was it had a defect while I'm trying to install the Windows at first use. It says, "Something went wrong, OOBEULA". I exchanged it with the same model.
The problem of the second one was it has a cracked on the upper right of the screen. The cracked is inside of the screen. So, I had to exchange it again with another one.
For the third and last time, the problem I've got is the screen issue. As you can see in the picture, it has this white broken lines.
I wasn't even able to use the laptop for one whole day. I'm very disappointed with Asus. My previous laptop is also ASUS ROG, still working great after 5 years.
This could be a great laptop if I didn't have all these issues. Maybe it just bad luck that I got 3 defects, or it's just like that.
