Do understand your concern about fan noise and thermal issues.
It is normal for the fan to spin at full-throttle while the laptop is under heavy load like gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.

At first I did really enjoy it. It seemed to be built well and have great performance too. I was willing to pay extra to get a laptop that seemed to do everything, so I did. Battery life was good and overall it seemed to be a great laptop to bring to college with me. Fast forward to now. The computer overheats and occasionally fails to turn on. I'm going back to school in less than a month so I really can't do anything about it right now as I need a computer with me. I genuinely can't believe that this laptop costs as much as it does. The engineering behind it is incredibly poor and I've already had one of the rubber screen rests fall out too. Pile of garbage and a massive disappointment from what I thought was a great company. I'd like for BestBuy or Asus to make this right but given the circumstances I'm not sure they can.

ASUS provides warranty coverage in order to fix or repair any product that may stop working prematurely under normal usage. Serious WIFI Issues

Signal disconnects during my meetings and streaming, and any other time the laptop feels like disconnecting. The WIFI signal will just drop off, or remain connected but NO INTERNET. I will check my other devices when this happens, and everytime, my other devices are still connected to my network with internet and no issues. Contacted ASUS for assistance and carried ALL recommended troubleshooting steps but the problem still persists. I can't return the laptop, because I am overseas. Really disappointed.
