I bought this laptop for my 11 year old son, for Christmas. For the price I paid, it has been really good. if you need lightning fast speed or killer graphics, this might not be the machine for you. But, for homework, Internet browsing, light gaming, etc., it works fine. Nothing negative to report!

I needed something to replace an old windows xp desktop. I found this for $250.00 can't beat the price. Its fast for surfing the web and email and other small stuff. I'm not worried about upgrading the ram, 4 isn't bad intel i3 is good. If you want to play hard core games, a laptop around $500.00 is want you want not this. It turns on when i need it to. Its a really good laptop, windows 10 is want it is.

Great for the price, not heavy, works fast and enough for kids to use for school

Bought as a Christmas gift for my 15 year old son. He is a gamer but also extremely "social". He loves its capacities, speed is great and has plenty of ports. Says it even looks better than most of his friends who have the "Fancy " brands. I searched reviews before buying and so far so good. If it maintains its appeal and functionality for a couple years I will be happy. I know as of today it has made me a "great dad ".

I needed a Windows laptop for certain programs that I could not get on my Apple Mac Book. I like Windows 10 a lot. I had Windows Vista before I switched to Mac. After the the third service pack update, Vista ran very well, but I wanted a faster machine than this, so that is why I went with the Apple. Now with Windows 10, and this little laptop, along with the SSD that I put in,, This thing is fast, and a delight to play with. For the price you can;t beat it.

ASUS has always made solid preforming computers. This one is no exception. Lightweight and very versatile. As a grad student, I need performance and this machine delivers.

I have purchased ASUS products before and have come to like them. I saw this laptop, the features looked good and the price was right. I received the laptop and I thought the outside of it was fairly well made and looks good. This laptop has decent performance for this price range. I would recommend this to others.

This PC met the needs for my wife, she wanted ample storage and ability to surf the web. There are apps available and the processor and memory make this a speedy computer. This PC is more than enough for our needs. Lighter than my dell.

This was a replacement for a 6 year old laptop. I wanted to replace it before it died suddenly on me. It was on sale and an open box was available and I jumped. I liked the specs and had intended to swap the 1gb hdd with a 500 gb SSD. After looking at the videos of the steps to replace it I opted not to. Especially when I started to use it a realized it's pretty fast to begin with. I'm not a gamer and use it for surfing, office stuff, etc. it handles office 2010 and 2016 easily and my Netflix plays just fine. In short, it works for me. I'm not a fan of Windows 10 but I'm running out of options and time as Windows 7 will be retired at some point. The keys feel cheap to me but do the job. No backlit keys of course, it is a budget PC. I did install a cheap Bluetooth adaptor in one of the USB ports so I'm ready to use it when the time comes. It connected easily as did all 3 of my HP printers-AFTER I discovered that the software for the printers would not load up from the DVD drive. After some investigating in Windows 10 forums, I found the easiest way was to let Windows install them for you. Seems the universal driver when combined with HP's downloadable interface works like a charm. No disc needed. It's light, much lighter than the replacement and the screen brightness is good considering the cost of this budget laptop. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone in need of a replacement budget PC.

Very nice, stable system for the money. Runs a little slow when running several open windows (more than 10 at a time) but not bad at all. Can be fixed with a $35 RAM upgrade. Nice size too. Liking Windows 10 so far! Great system for the non-gamer. Well worth the $299 spent!

This is a great laptop. It does everything you could expect fo price. I did remove mcafee antivirus and i am using windows defender. The PC got so much faster.

Haven't had it long or used it much. It's fast. Good screen brightness. Not impressed with track pad so use a mouse. It's biggest weakness: Windows 10 but whatever.

I've been looking for a laptop to replace my 5.5 year old Acer, and I saw a great deal at Best Buy on an Asus with 4 GB of memory, a 1 TB hard drive, and an Intel Core i3 processor for $299.99. I decided to go with the open box (apparently returned) item for $269.99. What a great deal. I was very pleased with the product and had begun to load data and software, but when I tried to use the optical drive to load a CD, I found that it did not work, so I had to return the laptop to my nearest store. Too bad. They said none were available in the store or at the nearest DC, and they didn't want to fix it, so I came up empty. It would have been a fantastic deal for just the laptop I was looking for.

I got this laptop 2 month ago on a special sale for $279.99, $303.44 after taxes. Out of the box it is fast enough for office work. If you want to do some occasional image editing and other heavier stuff, it needs a bit of help. I ended up buying a 4 GB RAM upgrade and a 250 GB solid state drive (SSD) for around $100.00 extra bucks. It made it an spectacular machine that doesn't stop surprising me. Pros: Price, solid hardware, crisp display and nice colors, full num-pad, great performance, looks, relatively cheap upgrades make huge difference. Cons: HDD, GPU (certainly not for gaming), keyboard not back-lighted, If you are planning to improve your purchase, you should buy the SSD first. The original HDD on this laptop is ridiculously slow, even for a 5400 rpm. The GPU can't be changed but it is what it is. Overall, this is a solid performer, great value for the money...

Laptop had windows 10 which made it easy to use immediately. It has taken me a while to adjust to keyboard because the touchpad seems much more sensitive than my previous computer.

I don like all of the apps and programs pre-installed, but as a computer it's efficient. I use MS Word, Powerpoint, and Pdfs regularly. It does the tasks fine. Warning though it has only 2GB of RAM. Dont ask your computer to do more than one task or it often times slows down. I can usually only have like 2 tabs open when using a browser to surf the internet. The RAM is what pegs this product for being excellent. Also of note, this model doesnt have bluetooth capabilities. There are quite a few usb ports and other input slots which makes it convienent. It does come with a re-writeable drive as well I believe but I've never ised it. Pictures are clear and color is good, but it is limited somewhat in having high resolution. I'd probably rate this as a 4.7 out of 5.

Has been a godsend for my daughter at school. Fast and efficient. Lightweight. Good battery life.

This does everything I expected it to do, handles several things open at once with no reduction in speed, and is easy to carry around. The only problem I have is that the trackpad is really clunky and loud.
