When originally purchased, worked amazingly had amazing display the keyboard and mouse pad worked great but the battery life was terrible. I would charge the computer all night unplug it then about an hour into school work needed to charge it again. The speakers are "Okay" but need some improving. It is fast but does have some lag when it comes to video streaming. Also, the disk reader on my computer did not work I put over 5 different movies, Cd's, blank Cd's and nothing would load or run correctly. The only reason I gave it a 3 was because of the fastness and the screen display.

This is the second ASUS product I have bought. My first one was a netbook, which I still have. I am happy with my purchase. The battery life isn't that great, but with the batteries being internal now, what can you expect. I am not a fan of Windows 10, due to the limitations of software available for it, but you can roll it back, if you want. It came with McAfee on it, which expires too shortly, but you also have a gift of being able to download for free, Webroot Secure Anywhere, which is good for 4 months from date of purchase and the one I am going to stick with. Overall, for the price, I am happy with the computer and being able to upgrade the amount of RAM from 4GB to 24GB is great.

Pros: -Very lightweight for a 15 inch laptop--I'm not even sure if it really is 5 lbs, since it felt lighter than some of the other laptops that are supposed to be 4.5 lbs -Keyboard (at least for me) was one of the most comfortable I've used. Keys are springy, distance between keys felt ideal, and the size of the keys were decent. -Speakers are pretty good Cons: -Felt EXTREMELY fragile, as the thing felt 90% plastic. That's probably why it was so lightweight. I was worried about breaking it when moving it around, even though that's what this laptop was for. -Slow to boot up -Loud. You can hear a grating sound coming form the hard drive when multitasking (and by this, I mean 3 tabs open and Word) -Pictures aren't super clear, and when I enlarged a screen to watch a movie, I could see what might be a broken pixel in the middle. I returned this for another one. In my opinion, this is ok for someone doing very light work with it, i.e. emails, an occasional doc or two, no multitasking and will end up buying another one 2-3 years down the line. This is NOT for someone who is on the go alot, and has 10 tabs, 3 docs, excel file, and pdf open at the same time.

I bought this Laptop because it has more storage, DVD drive, descent processor and RAM for the price. I am satisfied with the performance. I am not a big computer user but I'm happy with this.

I can recommend this for users who focus on business and home applications. The price is reasonable, performance is good. Appears to be well-built and sturdy. Exactly what I was looking for.

So far this laptop is meeting his need for school work research and dowoading videos and sports games. It was a reasonable price. This is the second Asus product we bought. Highly reliable.

I needed a computer that was reliable and could run programs that used daily on my job. Works great. Windows 10 was preinstalled was a plus.

At the time when I purchases this laptop it was priced at $349. For this prices tag it was a bit over priced for what you get when you could pay $100 more and get the I5 version with 6Gbs of Ram. This version comes with the I3 clocked to 2.2Ghz which isn't bad. the problems start with the 4Gbs of ram with work and multitasking that they advertises with the 5th gen i3 it is held back by the 4Gbs of Ram. The 1tb Harddrive is nice to have but I would have like to seen it with an SSD. The Keyboard is very flimsy and the positioning of some of the keys make it difficult to work with sometimes. The mouse pad is complete garbage any time you you try to click on anything using the actual part you press not the pad you tap down on the sensor detects it and moved the mouse as you are making a selection. When you are adding more ram you will find that the original 4Gbs is integrated and you only get one expansion slot. This also a list you have to look up on Asus's website for compatible ram. Over all the laptop isn't as they advertised if you are just using it for typing up a paper for school or work this is worth getting but if you are multitasking and doing other operations you are better off saving a little more and getting something better.

Bought a couple of these for the kids at xmas. Fast, affordable, and sleek. Haven't had any issues since setting it up. Kids seem to enjoy playing their games, watching youtube, etc.

Fast and reliable. It's got 1 tb harddrive and 4 gb memory so plenty of space!!! Great price for what you are getting The track pad has great response and although the number pad is small, it's still a necessity to have especially if you work with numbers all day.

I really like Windows 10. It took a little getting used to but it is quite an improvement over Vista. I also really like the wide screen and vivid colors displayed on the screen. There were no problems setting the computer up and getting started. Also this computer is very fast compared to my 7 year old Toshiba laptop.

I bought this computer when the price was $299. For a price that cheap and what the computer offers, I couldn't resist. This is a great computer for school work, going on the Internet etc. You get a lot of HDD space, and the computer is fast. I am happy I bought this when it was on special. Great computer all around.

I went in the store and asked for a basic laptop for a high school student, nothing fancy, just something they can use to get their school work done. The sales person recommended this as a lower cost but still good performing machine. For the purposes of ding school work, I think this is a great computer.

For the price I paid for this computer it does everything that I needed to. It's fairly fast. I use it to surf the Web and check my email. Happy with my purchase.

Great value for the price. The laptop is fast and with 1TB of memory you can't go wrong. I also have a Lenovo laptop and the keyboard holds up in comparison.

I like the computer, it worth for the money. Initially I thought I will exchange with a higher range laptop But after using for a week I decided to keep it. Very good laptop with performance.

Great cheap computer! It is fast compared to my windows 7 computer. I joke with my kids and call it the super computer.

This is a good 1st laptop for a student or if it is going to be used as an "internet appliance" I added 8b of RAM for 30 bucks so it has a total of 12GB now. It runs great and I like not only the size but the fact that it has a true 10-key pad on the side of it!!Not alot do in this price range. TB hard drive is hard to beat. the one issue I do have is that I was unable to put a USB into the USB slot, I finally got it in but it will not come out!!! I'm very computer savvy and this has me perplexed. My wife uses it so i am not going to mess with it at this point but i think i may need needle nose pliers to get it out which obviously should not happen
