Great laptop for any use

Only until recently an external hard drive was needed for my photography, and although I am looking for a laptop to replace this one I wouldnt change brands at all. The battery life is good and trust me I hate to part with this laptop but I am in need of something that doesnt require me to keep plugged in anymore.

I would also recommend it for anyone who is not a "technology challenged person", like myself. Really is a great 1st PC for someone just starting out or a well priced option who uses their PC in. Limited usage like surfing the web, checking email and paying bills. I would think a faster PC would be needed for memory and speed intense games

Hard drive failed in 2 1/2 months, but Best Buy replaced whole computer. They said it was a fluke as they've been having good luck with this Asus model. Other than hard drive failure it's been fine. Nothing special, just a very basic machine.

I needed a cheap laptop for my son to take to college and this fit the bill perfectly. It is no power house but it is more than enough for normal college work applications and the battery life is descent. Why spend a lot of money for a laptop that your child is going to be throwing in and out of their car during college when it is not needed?
