This laptop appears to be workable for a young person to do more things they like compared to only having access to a iPad.

Bought it for myself and it has been a very good purchase. It is easy to set up and gets going and runs at a good speed for the price. May have to increase the Memory but still a good value.

I bought this computer because I wanted an inexpensive laptop for my weekend backpack and this one offered the most bang for the buck (I got it on sale). The Pros: An Intel i3 processor in a sub-$300 laptop which still has a DVD drive. I have yet to see a better deal in budget laptops. Bloatware and trial software is minimal compared to other major brands. The Cons: The plastics feel cheap (as do the casings of all budget laptops) and the hard drive is noisy. The specs say Windows 8.1,but mine has Windows 8 installed and I had to upgrade. The 4GB of RAM is embedded on the motherboard and does not include an expansion slot (I looked). What would make it better: One or two more USB ports and Bluetooth. Other thoughts: Battery life for me is about four hours. There are no access panels on the bottom and the battery cannot be removed without taking the laptop apart.

I cannot give a good review of this product because I only had it for 4 days before a software problem. I know these kind of problems can show up but not when the laptop has only been used about 15 hours

Well I went to about three different places looking at laptops for my brother and ended up here at bestbuy and bought this laptop. My brother loves it I would recommend it.

I installed my own Chip Driver and Driver Support with the unfortunate experience of recovery erasing my downloaded portions but not installed files. The icons disappeared.

the computer performs well. my only draw back is the screen is a bit whimsy. it shakes very easy. Also I don't like that the usb connection is on the left hand side and is not on the right side.

Very Touchy, jumps around when you are working on things, not sure if it is the Windows 8 or the laptop. Still working out the kinks. Not bad laptop for the price, is very light weight

I convinced my son to try college after high school ( a semester late). Now I needed something cheap, but effective for him to use at college.

We bought this computer for our son. He wanted his own computer to play minecraft. It works great!

Serves the purpose well for a novice like myself.. mostly thank heavens for your wonderful/patient Geek Squad...they have been a blessing!

The laptop is a great size to take everywhere. It makes it easy to get studying done on the go.

This seemed to be a great computer for the price. It didn't have a lot of bells and whistles, which one expects for a lower end unit. I had issues with getting Windows updates, and there was no response on the volume control. I decided to return it to the store and purchase a different brand. Returning was an easy no hassle transaction, and Best Buy wants to keep customers satisfied.

I am pleased with the product but I appreciated the courtesy of the sales person that assisted us. He was helpful and knowledgeable.

NICE computer!!! I would definitelty suggest that anyone buy this laptop. It does EVERYTHING that I could possibly want and more!!!

This is our first new computer in about 6 years. It is obviously better than what we had, but am a little disappointed that it randomly has to reload

I bought this as a gift for my 9 year old to run his movies on iTunes. Works great and has plenty of memory for all his videos.

I bought this laptop for my 13 year old son. He's used it for his schoolwork and for streaming videos. Great starter laptop.

So far this has been a good decision. Have had no problems and looking forward to being able to take with me when traveling
