I bought this open box. The PC smelled heavily like smoke. It was awful. I brought it back, and the geek squad nick named it smokey. They helped me find the perfect replacement.

Usage wise this computer does a pretty fair job. I mostly use it for email, videos, and occasional photo editing. It handles everything well. The only problem is it can't be off the power supply without the screen having issues. It flickers and sometimes goes completely black. When the computer is plugged back in it immediately stops having problems. Taken it in a couple times and the Squad didn't figure out what was wrong.

I love best Buy, but was very disappointed with this computer. It was very slow, difficult to get to home page. So I returned it.

I purchased this laptop for everyday use. Best Buy did not have this model displayed, they had the i7 one on display. The i7 one felt a lot more solid than this model. Overall, it is a decent laptop with decent sound and okay graphics. I'm not impressed with the keyboard. It is pretty flimsy and if you are a hard typer, like myself, you will notice that it doesn't feel very solid. I'm actually considering returning it because of how much I dislike the keyboard. I am trying to type lighter than I normally do, because I am afraid I am going to damage the keyboard. I expected better; even at this price point. Set-up was easy and took only a few minutes. The initial start-up took a rather long time. I actually thought it was DOA because of how long it took for the splash screen to show up. At this price point, I think the is a decent budget laptop for a student or someone who web surfs/Facebooks. I would recommend it for someone who does not type very hard. If you pound the keys on your keyboard you may want to avoid this model.

My review is not suggesting that this is the hottest machine on the market - far from it. But an i5 processor w/ 6 GB memory for less that $450.00 is a pretty good deal! Built in CD/DVD drive adds weight but grants function. No BT and only integrated graphics and short anticipated battery life (just bought this morning). i5 is quick enough to accomplish most "ordinary" computing tasks (WP, Internet, streaming) and basic gaming. If you need more be realistic and spend 3-500 bucks more. But at the price level this is a very nice machine and merits consideration. Would give a 4.5 if that choice were available.

This laptop is a great case of you get what you pay for (in a good way). You know that at $350 you're by no means getting a super computer but for basic applications and function it's a great value. My main purpose for this laptop was to edit/store GoPro videos and record music on the go with some Netflix and some dated gaming on the side (Fallout 3, Postal 2, Amnesia, etc.) This does all of that perfectly well. The laptop does come filled with a bunch of useless programs and other odds and ends they want you to sign up for that are paid programs. Spend 15 minutes if you get this and clear them all out.

Lots of power, good price!! I've never been happier with a piece of technology. I used this for my programming classes in college and it runs my editor quickly and compiles apps without any issue or time consumption. It' design is sleek, sturdy with incredible high performance, super fast multitasker. It has ample RAM (6G) and storage (1T), no worry about run out of space again. Keyborad is easy to type and there is no caps lock indication light.has fast processor responses.The back-lit feature really helps in the dark to type correctly. The finger pad is very accurate and you don't have to press hard at all. The sound is clear and loud. The screen is amazing too, color is crisp, high definition. I can surf the web for 4-6 hours a day without significant eye fatigue. And it has a DVD drive! This is one of the reason I chose this laptop too. Not many laptops carry DVD anymore. It comes with Windows 10 preinstalled, and it boots literally in about 5 seconds. Anyway, it hits the "sweet spot" for value in every way that matters to me. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants something more than a portable word processor/web surfer It's well worth the money. Definitely refer my friends to buy this laptop. It's fast and practical especially for the money you're going to be paying for it. the HD quality is awesome The design of it is very nice as well.

I bought this on sale for $350. I needed another laptop after my fairly expensive, 2-year-old Dell laptop experienced an issue with the motherboard. I wanted a computer that would meet the performance of my old one, but at a much cheaper price point. For the price I paid I was skeptical, but this is a decent laptop. The performance has been very good when browsing the Internet and streaming, even for those sites that are notoriously slow. I've had multiple applications running and the Internet browser all going at the same time with no issues. Setup was super easy for me, I noticed another review said it was complicated, but it was a breeze. I'm not someone who requires a high performance computer for more advanced software needs, but I definitely do appreciate speed with the day-to-day, and so far I like it. I do have upgraded high speed Internet, so I can't speak to performance when running lower speeds. Considering the specs, it's a good buy.

Bought this laptop about a week ago, and have been very satisfied with my purchase. I've bought laptops before that were AMD and they slowed down after just a few days! This computer hasn't lagged at all. The set up was simple, and the start up afterwards is incredibly quick! I don't use it for a whole lot other than internet surfing, youtube, etc. I multitask a lot and it doesnt seem to phase it a bit. The screen is very large and bright, not the BEST high def quality but it is very nice. After tax the total was about $431. At that price point i was not expecting such a fast, elegant computing experience. The touch pad is a little difficult to get used to but it's decent. The fact that it doesn't have LED's for caps lock and such doesn't really bother me much. The speaker aren't very loud but loud enough. The battery doesn't last very long at all but I keep it plugged in at my desk so it's ok for me. Other than those small thing it was a terrific purchase and would definitely recommend. You wont be disappointed!
