The overall performance is great. Its very light for its size. The computer runs smoothly, fast and consistently. It takes very little time to start up and shut down. There is a ton of space so memory isn't an issue. It also handles gaming extremely well. The only down side is that the battery isn't as good as I could be. If you're just browsing it's just fine but when you start streaming videos and games a lot, over time you can tell that the battery doesn't hold as well of a charge. Overall, this is a wonderful computer.

This laptop cost me about 465$ and I have to say it was well worth it, especially being able to get Windows 10 free of charge. It is an excellent computer for high school or college, and a very good computer for the average PC gamer Becuase of the i5 processor. I would buy this computer again just because of how great it is. I have had zero problems with the internal speed along with rebooting times. Has an average battery life, around 2 1/2 hours with excessive use. Fantastic computer and deffinatly recommend to anyone looking for a solid laptop with great capabilities without breaking the bank.

This was a purchase for my wife to replace her desktop. Excellent features for the price. Great processor, more than adequate RAM and way more than enough hard drive space. This is the second purchase of this ASUS laptop. I also purchased one for a client of mine. Same reasons as above.

This is a quality low-mid grade laptop. I purchased it as an open bod item right after the back to school rush and the open box bin was overflowing. I got it for an excellent $300 price. I'm not sure I would have paid retail for it but is a great machine for $300-$400. I upgraded to windows 10 immediately and without issue. Graphics are good, not as high of resolution as I've had but good enough for mid level games, movies, web browsing and document management. The laptop seems to lag some on the web compare to my other machine but still remains acceptable. The one thing I wish it had was a backlit keyboard. Other than that I don't think you can go wrong with this for a basic laptop.

I wanted an inexpensive laptop with a decent amount of memory and good processor. I told the sales associate what I wanted and he showed this Asus model. I have had it for a month and it is perfect for my needs. This model has a disc drive unlike many others. I am pleased with the performance of this laptop; it works well for using Office, Facebook, and email. I can watch Netflix or Amazon movies on it as well. For the price I am very pleased!

I saw this laptop online and checked it out on several websites before going to Best Buy to get it. Getting a laptop with a high performance i5 core, 6GB RAM and 1TB HD for $430 is fantastic. The laptop was not on display so I had to have the salesman find it for me. Even he was blown away with the value. Now upgraded to Windows 10 and working so much faster than the one it replaced.

This laptop is perfect for us. Good memory and storage, plus free upgrade to Windows 10. The only thing that takes some getting use to is the there is no light on the caps lock button to indicate if you are in caps or not. Laptop is very responsive. I've noticed that the battery will read plugged in not charging until it reaches about 95%, then starts charging. Great laptop for the money. Not for heavy gamers.

Very happy with the Asus. Good processor/RAM/storage combo for the price. Plus, it has a nice look and feel.

I have no problems at all with this computer... I use the computer for an every day use computer... no problems to report on my end at all.. it is fast the screen quality is good...... I don't usually play games on the laptop or put tons and tons of storage on it... I know the storage can hold it but not sure on how it would truly work with playing games.... I stream some movies and have no problems at all... if you are looking for an everyday computer I would highly recommend... great value for the price I believe....

Bought the computer for my mother. I think it feels fairly cheap and don't know how long it would last if i had to travel with it, but that isn't a concern in her case. She has had no problems and is more than pleased with the performance of the unit.

I bought this laptop for my mom. Easy to use, great price/size/weight. Only complain so far is that I was told Windows 10 was already installed and it wasn't.

I was looking for an inexpensive laptop. Best Buy had what I thought was a great deal on these. For the average user, this is probably a great buy. For me, I was disappointed with that the battery is built into the computer. If anything goes wrong with the battery, then it won't be easy to replace it. I have bought 3 of these in total: 1 for business purposes for an employee (their only gripe is the touchpad), 1 for a coworker for personal use and 1 for my mom. Outside of the touchpad, which I didn't find to be an issues, I haven't heard a single complaint.

I wasn't really sure what to expect as I didn't see this computer before purchase (originally wanted the one this one was replacing) but I couldn't be happier. The screen is amazing and programs and webpages load super fast!

The computer works great, has a great image, and is fast. The only issue I have with it is a popping noise when I open it

COMPUTER HAS BEEN GREAT SO FAR. IT HAS A 1 TB HARDDRIVE. IS FAST LOAD UP AND SURFING ON THE INTERNET IS PRETTY FAST TOO WITH 6GB MEMORY. FACEBOOK GAMES/APPS DOES GOOD. THIS LAPTOP SEEMS TO BE A LITTLE MORE FLEXIBLE ON LOADING OR DOWNLOADING WITH SOFTWARE OR APPS. I DID GET A DELL BRAND FIRST BEFORE THIS ONE AND IT WAS NOT WORKING OUT LIKE THIS ONE SO I EXCHANGED IT FOR THIS ONE. NORTON INSTALLATION IS GREAT ON THIS LAPTOP. I HAVE USED NORTON FOR A FEW YEARS AND I DID NOT WANT TO CHANGE IT. OUTLOOK AND OFFICE 365 IS GREAT TOO. I INSTALLED GOOGLE CHROME AND IT WORKS FINE. I HAVE NOT NOTICE ANYTHING WRONG OR ANY SOFTWARE CONFLICT WITH THIS ONE. I HAD IT FOR ABOUT A MONTH OR 2 ALREADY. KEYBOARD WORKS FINE AND I DO USE A WIRELESS MOUSE. WHEN YOU FIRST SET UP YOUR NEW LAPTOP, WITH ALL THE INSTALLATION AND UPDATES; IT CAN TAKE UP TO 2 HOURS. I HAVE NOT UPDATED TO WINDOWS 10, THIS CAME WITH WINDOWS 8 AND ITS PRETTY GOOD. I DID UPDATE THE FIRST LAPTOP WITH WINDOWS 10 AND THE ISSUES WERE THERE BEFORE AND AFTER INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS 10. I DO NOT KNOW EXACTLY IF IT WAS COMPUTER OR WINDOWS 10. I DO NOT WANT TO RISK IT SO I HAVE NOT DOWNLOADED WINDOWS 10 TO THIS ASUS ONE AND IT IS FREE FOR NEW LAPTOP BUYERS. THERE IS ALOT OF SETTINGS TO LOOK AT AND CHANGE TO YOUR LIKINGS. DO NOT FORGET TO LOOK AT PRIVACY SETTINGS, VERY IMPORTANT.

So far I love my laptop. The keyboard is taking alittle to get used to but it is a great computer for the price.

This was purchase for my dad and he loved it. It was easy for him to use. The price was also very reasonable.

This is not 5gen i5 but still great purchase! Intel 4400 graphics. Just right for the price

I purchased the laptop for my teenagers. It isn't the fastest but it runs Windows 10 rather fast and you can't beat the price. My son doesn't care much for the touch pad, so a wireless mouse was key. All of the features of the laptop perform to spec.
