Purchased this laptop for the price of similar core i3 PCs. Windows 10 has run flawlessly and the system itself is relatively quick for daily tasks. I use this machine for no more than email, web, and video streaming; no gaming. For the price, I have nothing to complain about. If it cost more than $450 I may shop around as there are a few annoyances. 1. The keyboard is NOISY! You can feel the entire surface vibrate with each keystroke. 2. No bluetooth. This is an inexpensive add on for ASUS so why not include it internally. Problem solved with a USB plug in for under $20 but take that into consideration of out of pocket expenses. 3. Long reach to the keyboard. However, I do really like the large and accurate touch pad that requires this space. 4. Like others have noted, some indicator lights for keyboard functions like caps lock and num lock are industry standards that Asus excluded to cut minute costs that only drive away the consumer. 5. No touch screen. Which is probably a good thing in that it cuts the cost of this machine. The deletion of the touch screen also increases battery life, keeps your screen fingerprint free, and it's one less thing to go wrong. I plan on pulling out the performance stealing hard drive and using it externally and replacing it with an SSD internally which will make this thing pretty darn quick. Overall, This is a great machine if you can buy it at a stellar price like I did. It's like a muscle car in that it has a lot of power but is lacking many bells and whistles.

I was looking for a high-quality reasonably priced Windows 10 machine and this one stood out. I don't think you can find an i7 processor for $500 elsewhere. And Asus has the best hardware records lately. It would be better with a backlit keyboard but, other than that, I've been happy with this machine.

Great laptop for what I use it for. Very good price for the unit as well. The i7 processor. The 1Tb. I thought it was a very good buy for the price I paid for the unit.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas to replace a very old Dell laptop. Could not be happier with beautiful HD display, lightweight and thin profile and excellent features. The Intel core i7 and 1TB hard drive were our reason for choosing this very affordable Asus. He is very happy with the "upgrade"! Best Buy salesperson was informative and very helpful too!

High quality and very satisfied! I use the asus laptop strictly for my dj and karaoke work. It is fast and reliable. It searches and pulls up song quick and easy. I am very happy with this laptop. This is the second asus I've owe need and I'm still using the last one which I've had for 4 years.

I really like this laptop. I got it on sale at a good price and was really impressed. It is easy to use and although I don't do anything special with laptops so I didn't get any extra fancy stuff, I think this is good for school writing and basic day to day stuff.

I like this computer touch pad takes a bit of getting use to other than that works like laptop should. I is easy to set up some installed software I have never used but not too many pop ups with adds for products. preinsted software not too bad edge works well but google chrome does to after download. No touch screen but not sure I would use much.

I purchased this laptop for my son for college to do schoolwork. He also wanted to play games on it but that was beyond my budget. I spent a few extra dollars on this one because it has an i7. He's able to play Starcraft 2, Mindcraft, Frozen Synapse, and Hearthstone without any issues.

I purchased this item since my other laptop completely ended up dying on me, and I was recommend this laptop by a friend. Its a great device, and has many great features and speeds. The price is a steal especially when considering the components that are part of this laptop.

I ordered this item mainly because of the i7 processor and memory. My first time buying an Asus and it delivers great performance. I played a few games and the graphics were good. To test the ability of the system I ran anti-virus scan, opened multiple apps and several internet tabs open at once and surprisingly it was still running smooth w/o defect. I saved $80 bucks buying this item geek squad certified and I'm happy with the purchase. The caps on/off light isn't an added feature but I've adjusted. The plastic cover with the swirl pattern is pretty nice and looks clean. Overall a good machine for writing papers, some gaming and Internet surfing which is what I brought it for! Kortana is an added bonus. Couldn't beat the price, check it out! Asus is stepping things up, with a couple more added frills, I believe they would surely give all the competitors a serious run for their money.

The notebook has a great battery duration, nice definition, and excellent finish. It has a speed processor (i7) and a great hd space (1tb). You won´t find any of this features at this price. The notebooks with this features starts at U$ 800 and up.

The laptop has a great fast processor,programming. I wanted the light up keyboard but this laptop don't have one. couldn't beat the processor and gigs for the price.

Bought Asus for son for college 3 years ago. It is great and needed new computer for home. On deal of day found an i5. Decided thst I wanted i7. A week later found this. Great deal, I love the i7.

This computer works great for my needs. I work from home and needed something that could handle running multiple open programs at the same time without being slow. It's light to carry. Easy to setup and use. I like clarity the of the screen and processing speed. For the price it was great buy!

I purchased this laptop after months of research and angst - I just tend to go a little overboard! Although I had gone to Best Buy to purchase a different make and model, the one I was looking for was no longer available. I talked to two very helpful associates that were able to clearly distinguish between the attributes of this Asus and a Dell. I'm glad I went with this one - it's easy to use, has plenty of speed and memory for what I do (surf the internet, some gaming, some streaming of videos and live feed) and I'm pleased with how easy it was to set up and get going.

I've never owned my own laptop before. We told the guy what we needed one for and what all we would be using computer for. He pointed us to what would be best for us. He could've pointed us to a more expensive computer but it wouldn't have been what we needed. We had excellent customer service. I love that every single time we've ever been in there, everyone is helpful and knowledgeable. I am thankful for that. I absolutely love my laptop. Thanks!!!! :)

I am thoroughly impressed with this laptop, especially it's speed using the Intel I7 processor. It comes with 6GB Ram, so I will likely upgrade.
