Absolutely love this extra monitor -- mad at myself for waiting so long to purchase it!! Worth every penny. Easy to connect to my ASUS laptop. I use a lot of screens when I work -- this makes it so much easier to see what I'm working on and keep up with doing several things at once! I ended up purhasing a collapsible wooden book holder to prop it up with as the case it comes with doesn't work very well for that purpose. This is easy to pack and take with me when I'm working out of my office -- laptopm, monitor, stand, etc. all fit in my work backpack. Love it!

Good functionality as 2nd screen. Brightness button does not work. Black coating of power on button chips away, leaving an annoying bright light.

The pros: super easy to set up. I did not have to download any drivers, probably worked automatically. My laptop quickly recognized the 2nd screen. Product seems to be very good quality. I have an additional Asus laptop and tried it there first. Asus generally makes good quality products from my experience. Good size screen. Lightweight. Nice folio cover. The cons: the screen was low res. Hard to read a perfectly clear (on my adjacent laptop) PDF. The folio, while very nice and top quality materials, was very awkward to use as a stand. The little velcro fabric slips meant to stabilize the screen and the backrest are too small and hard to engage. Velcro on the edge of the folio fold and the bottom of the screen edge might fix the problem. Asus should lower the price or make a higher res screen and make the simple fixes on the folio to make this a great product.

Positives - This is a big screen (bigger than I was expecting, I guess). Picture is pretty sharp. Seems to work well with my older MacBook Air 11 inch. Folio holder is pretty nice. Price is decent. Cons - I have been struggling to figure out a good way to have this on a stand to use in "portable" fashion. Using the folio as a stand is "okay" I guess. The build quality of this thing (the screen) is pretty poor, in my opinion. It feels flimsy (i.e. not like a tablet, which is what I was expecting I guess). When you press on the back or the edges, you see screen aberrations (only with pressure). I can imagine this thing getting damaged pretty easily, which makes it not really "portable." The proprietary cord is ridiculous. Break or lose that, and you're done. Also, note (not advertised, but actually indicated only in the manual -- too late then) that portrait mode DOES NOT WORK IN MAC OS. Again, ridiculous. That's half the reason I bought this, now I don't have that function. This thing is big, which is good for viewing, but a negative for portability. In sum, I was looking for a second screen to use with my (very portable) MacBook Air 11 inch - even really just around the house. I find this "portable" screen somewhat difficult to get set up quickly in a portable fashion (it is somewhat delicate and difficult to position, in my opinion). In hindsight, I think I would have been better off just buying a lightweight LED monitor on a stand. I like having this, and the idea of having this, like if I ever have to go on the road again, or to the inlaws, etc., this will be a great second screen (essentially in a pinch) to be able to do some work with 2 monitors (assuming it does not break in transport). However, there may be better solutions if you are looking for a second monitor to use with a laptop around the house. What is bizarre about this monitor is that you could find cheap, sturdier tablets in this price-range, so why would they not just make the unit sturdy and scratchproof, like a cheap tablet? I don't get it.

I like that it so lightweight, but the case that doubles as a stand doesnt function well plus its not compatible with my MAC devices even after downloading the driver.

If you have the extra money it's probably worth upgrading to the ASUS Zen Screen as the screen quality will be far superior. But for the price, you can't beat this handy little travel monitor. Movies look very good on it, text is crisp/readable and the setup is very easy for Mac so long as you're upgraded to Mojave. Also - the included carrying sleeve/stand is very useful.

Bought this to make working away from home easier and more efficient. I love my dual monitors on my desk at work and at home and felt like productivity slowed down when I was away. This definitely does the trick. Easy to carry, super thin,light, carrying case and easy to hook up. ONE CORD powers it up, and displays another window. PERFECT!!! Only thing my husband the techie noticed was the resolution is not as good as on my laptop, but I'm okay with that. I get more work done and its easy, easy, easy.....

A very good second screen for field work. Powered by USB. Fits in laptop bag. Only drawback, the case/sleeve serves as a stand, but not very sturdy, and not adjustable. Great if you have the workspace available.

Technology is booming and I prefer to work with more than one monitor these days. This is an excellent choice for an extra monitor to attach to your notebook or laptop. Very nice picture and easy to carry.

The only reason it not 5 stars, is because the support stand is too weak. But everything else is great easy setup . Needs stronger stand

Thin and light. Display is nice but brightens shifts when viewing on an angle. Also power connection on display is less than secure. Can be pulled out very easily.

Very easy to set up. You just plug in and it works. Lightweight and very slim makes it easy to store and travel with. Great for work and travel.

Bought this to use on my treadmill desk and it’s slim enough to fit perfectly on my treadmill display within the slot area just in front. This provides an additional display for my surface pro.

BestBuy erred in promoting this monitor in their eBay listing, convoluting the Asus MB168B with the MB169B+ and coming up with a whole new (and non-existent) Asus model (MB168B+). BestBuy also convoluted the specifications between the MB168B and MB169B+. Thus, this experience was a real mish-mash. As to the MB168B itself, this is their entry-level portable monitor which I would stay away from, opting for the MB169B+ (USB 3.0) or MB169C+ (USB 3.0 Type-C). The MB168B has the older WLED/TN (1366x768) display panel, while the MB168B+ and MB169C+ have IPS (1920x1080) display panels. And finally, the MB169B+ and MB169C+ have their own graphics processors which offloads much of the processing from the laptop graphics processor, improving performance greatly.

I'm on my 3rd ASUS portable monitor, but to be fair, I'm hard on them because I transport them everywhere. These are lightweight and easy to pack away, but not very durable so be careful. If you drop it in your bag/backpack, make sure you have it tucked away in its case and do no bend! I like that it's "plug and play" and compatible with my laptop. It's also affordable, although the prices have gone up slightly since I purchased my first one. I wish I had the option of a vertical display (like some). This one is horizontal only.

I use this usb monitor every single day. I like how easy it is to carry. It haven't given me any issues but definitely worth every penny.

Great product and simple use. Great for people who work on the go and travel. As compact as possible and slides right in with your laptop. The case works as a stand too.
