After I purchased this product it worked great for about a year. After that I began having problems, and pretty much had a mind of it's own with online apps and programs, doing random things. It finally began to bog down so bad I did a factory reset, which installed Win 8. Big mistake, now it won't even boot without going into bios, saving and exiting. I've tried to install Win 10 upgrade but without the disc, it hasn't worked. When it was working it was great, but not a long term recommendation.

Laptop has and continues to serve me well. Four years and counting; I plan to get another 2-4 years out of it.

Plagued from issues at the start. Unit rebooted by itself fully updated while gaming. Unit was slow and wireless kept disconnecting. Horrible unit i exchanged it out.

This laptop is a powerhouse at an affordable price. I haven't had any issues with it so far. I'm a software developer and I wanted something with some serious power. It works well for work and for gaming. The screen is large and the keyboard is very comfortable. My only complaints are that the battery doesn't last long (which is no surprise) and the hard drive is a bit slow in the age of SSD's. But this computer is expandable and a faster hard drive could be added. Overall it's a fantastic computer.

Battery died right after warranty ended. Only good thing about this piece is the screen.

I bought this about two months ago when it was on sale for 1199 or 1099, I can't remember which. I'd been wanting one with the 970 but wanted to try it out before I bought it. This only has the 965 but it's still great for my needs. I came from an MSi with a 765m and it's a major improvement. I primarily play FFXIV, which runs at the highest settings, but the few other games I've tested out and played very well on high/ultra. Upgraded to Windows 10 and it's way better than 8.1 was. Built in speakers are nice and bassy, though I primarily use a headset if I'm doing anything on it. Touchscreen I'm meh about, I didn't buy it for the touch screen, it seems pointless on a laptop to me. Hard drive is excruciatingly slow, but I purchased a Samsung 850 Evo and cloned the drive over with no problems and it's wonderful now. Keyboard is nice but be aware that the surrounding pads are a pain to clean, I've given up on them. I'd give it 4/5 for what I paid, easily met all my expectations.

I loved this thing from the get go. I upgraded it to Windows 10 and kept losing wifi connection every 20 minutes or so. Put it back to 8.1 and it works like a charm! I then cloned the drive to a 240GB SSD I put in the secondary slot and then swapped the drives (NOTE: you have to swap the drives after cloning in order for the system to recognize the SSD as a boot drive) and it flies!!!! The first few days I had this, it took approx 3 minutes to boot up and be ready to go. Now, it takes about 7 seconds and I'm full go. That is from a powered off mode...coming back from standby is instantaneous!!! The offset of the monitor is actually very handy for carrying the system around. I eliminates putting pressure on the screen when you pick it up and is very balanced when holding it with one hand from the back center between the vents. This laptop is comparably heavy to other models, but it's a powerful beast and will outperform any of them in processing. I'm not a gamer (anymore) soI recommend this thing for processing photos and videos and be this would give anyone a top gaming experience.

Plays all my games on ultra setting at 1080p just leave off anti aliasing and plugged in the wall fully charged if you want higher frame rates. (40 to 60)fps is what i get with the turbo boost and GPU boost! games I'm playing now are The newest tomb raider, BioShock infinite, metro 2033 and last light redux, crysis 3, witcher 3, farcry 3 and 4, battle field 4. Got it when it was on sale for 1099, definitely was worth the buy. I had been looking to upgrade for awhile and finally pulled the trigger to buy a new laptop. it runs great on any game I've tried playing so far. my old laptop(dell) was one i had for close to 8 years. so this is a very good upgrade, i can finally play newer games.

... but the speakers behind the monitor do not output any sound. Sound comes through the subwoofer on the bottom left only and it sounds terrible. Let me know if you have a fix for this issue. Slow 5400 rpm hard drive is a mismatch for this laptop.

I bought this as a replacement for my macbook pro. I was looking at desktops but figured I would still want the option of portability. This laptop runs editing software without any issues and I havent run into any gaming hiccups at all either! I installed a SSD as the main hard drive and this thing flies even faster. I highly recommend it.

Runs Starcraft 2 and Heroes of the Storm on Ultra/Extreme settings with 80-100 fps.

This has been an awesome laptop. I love the screen size and touch screen capabilities. Also the speed is excellent.
