This PC has it all. I needed to replace my Asus I got 5 years ago. When I saw this one I was shocked that it did not cost another thousand dollars. We have SSD and HDD both! Then add 16GB of memory and a 2-in-1 folding screen. But it gets better, it is a 4k screen and even has a lightning port! I love this little guy! USB3 all the way around, HDMI, and wow is it fast to start up. Now it has clean lines, you cannot pop out the battery like in the old units. But has anyone ever done that? It has a separate number pad, you really get used to those things. AND IT HAS A BACKLIT KEYBOARD. That is so needed and I am happy to report this has that as well. It has it all. I cannot think of anything I would add. Except Windowd 10 Pro, but I can upgrade that myself. The speakers sound great, in fact there is a small "can" that sits by the PC and really adds base to it. This PC will easily last me 5 more years. I was in Best Buy so much that I know I was getting on the salesmen's nerves. But I am glad I persevered.

This laptop has successfully replaced an older Samsung that was beginning to fail. The old one had 1 TB of storage, and it was almost full. This Asus has double that,so hopefully I won't run out any time soon. It starts swiftly, holds all my data, has the specific details I was looking for. The touch screen is almost too responsive;although I don't use it a lot,I do like having it available. I have not used it as a tablet yet,it seems a little large for that, but I can see some times when it would be a advantage to have. The keyboard is comfortable and responsive;sound is good . Graphics are good for my needs(not a gamer). My only complaint is the start button on the side: habits die hard and I often find myself reaching for the non-existent start button where it was placed on the top of the keyboard on my previous laptop. This side one is small, have to look to be sure I'm on it,and pressure has to be just right to turn it on & off. That's a minor issue and I'm getting used to it. It also is too bad that laptops are now being built without CD/DVD drives. I know we are all using the cloud ,but I still have some discs I'd like to use at times. Fortunately the desktop has one,so I'm OK with this compromise. Finally, the price was right.

It has a 360 degree hinge so it can be used like a tablet, laptop or in tent mode. It has a touchscreen and track pad to make zipping through messages and news articles very quick and easy. Images are super clear because of 3840 x 2160 resolution 4K UHD resolution which is like looking at an OLED TV. The backlit keyboard can be activated by pressing FN + F4 keys, which is great for dim rooms. It uses a 7th generation Core i7-7500 processor which provides fast startups and rapid downloading. It has 2 TB hard drive with 512 GB SSD for ample storage and rapid response time, In addition it has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 graphics to render high quality games and video, There are built in stereo speakers for good quality audio and it comes with an attachable speaker to amplify bass sounds, Audio is not "tinny sounding" like many other laptops on the market. I do wish the audio had a greater amplification range, but it's still pretty decent for a laptop, It has 1 USB HDMI port and 3 USB 3.0 ports which are backward 2.0 compatible. This laptop includes the latest Thunderport 3 for connecting external devices. You can easily connect external devices like a CD player, DVD writer, VR Gear and headphones with all the available ports. I've used this laptop for 1 month and feel it's well worth the price with all of the features included.

Seemingly great product with 3 flaws

I ordered this laptop on clearance and had a chance to compare it with the newer model replacing it as well, which has a lithium-ion battery rather than the lithium-polymer battery found in this model. The newer model also gets compatibility with the windows pen thing. Otherwise, they are the same. This laptop was supposed to come in in "chocolate and copper" color which I didn't see until after I had ordered, but when it showed up it was black anyways as shown in the picture - thankfully. Everything is great about this computer, haven't had any weird freezes or crashes or errors. The screen looks fantastic and the keyboard feels great. Having a num-pad was a must for me and though this one is a bit slim I became used to it quickly. Now, the 3 flaws, of varying significance: 1. The trackpad is junk and acts up frequently. Seems to correlate with when the laptop is processing something in the background, the trackpad becomes unresponsive or less responsive and glitchy. Quite annoying. Expect to use a mouse when you can. 2. The lithium-polymer battery lasts noticeably less time than the lithium-ion battery found in the newer model. I get about 3-4 hours on a charge before I start getting warnings, and that's usually just running web pages and Word. 3. The black finish on the aluminum construction looks great, but shows fingerprints very very easily. If you're nit-picky like me you'll find yourself trying to rub off smudges often. Only one star detracted for the trackpad issues. I understand the battery is running a 15.6" 4K screen and powerful processors and will not have the life of a chrome book. The fingerprint smudges are just a minor annoyance. Despite the glitchy trackpad, I would buy again. Great deal for what you get and it's a quality machine. I've had this for over 3 months now.

I upgraded laptops every few years as my needs change. I do a lot of photo post processing, which is very demanding on a system. My current laptop was struggling to keep up, so I bought this unit. This time around I wanted a real powerhouse. Believe me, I got it! This unit blast through processing of large DSLR files. The 4K screen is beautiful, & 4K video looks fantastic on it. I was a bit surprised to find out while looking at new laptops, that a CD/DVD bay is just about a thing of the past. I did buy an external BlueRay player/burner. The keyboard feels good to me, and I really like that it's backlit. The touchpad feels OK, but I mostly use a wireless mouse when I'm working at my desk. I have not had any issues with the "tablet" function like some reviews have. The touch screen works well, just like you would expect it to. It comes with an external "sub" speaker, which when plugged in, sounds decent. Without it, the sound is very lacking. I am very happy with this unit and would recommend it to others.

The laptop is great. The features and functionality are exactly what I was looking for. Great screen (4K), plenty of memory (16GB) and the dual internal hard drives (1 SSD, one standard) is great. I would recommend this for anyone in the market for a good 4K fast laptop.

I dont dread a restart for an install or update because this pc boots fast. I do serious heavy picture editing having mutliple programs open at once and working with seriously large files...not a problem. While it does get warm it isnt scalding my legs as past pcs have. I didnt realize how accustomed I have become to the click/react speed of this computer until using a few different pcs while away from home recently and wow what a difference, so NO real lag to speak of. Only draw back is the screen resolution does effect some text screens but I think that is easily adjusted...I have just learned to work with it so far. Happy with the decision to purchase this work horse of a pc oh and did I mention the storage??? It's massive! One wish, little bigger screen would be nice but I can attach an external if I choose. Also, thought I would miss the dvd drive but I bought an external for $20...problem solved.

I primarily use this laptop for work, to run a law practice. I'm on it all day long, both in my office and when I work outside of my office remotely. I also use it at night at home to watch Netflix or work. It has been easy to transport. It is loaded with memory. It boots very quickly. It operates fast. The battery lasts very well. I have not run into a low battery situation yet. (It might help that I set the screen for hi-def, not ultra.) I also installed a graphics heavy game which I have only played a few times, but the game ran quite well on this laptop, too. I also like that the laptop has the facial recognition for screen unlocking. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend it. Cons: No ethernet port. The keys to change volume and screen brightness need to have the [fn] key pressed at the same time.

Got this laptop on sale, the fact that it’s a 2 in 1 makes work, school, and random browsing a lot easier. It very fast on everything I’ve used so far, the only thing I have not tested is heavy gaming. Battery life is pretty good for a 4K display, have seen other laptops last barely 4 hours, while I’ve gotten 8 watching Netflix all day.

I was looking for a laptop for my son for college to handle engineering programs (plus he wanted to play games). This had everything we were looking for...discrete video card, fast processor, and plenty of RAM. It also had 4K resolution and touch screen. Needless to say we are happy with this purchase and it's working great.

The speakers are not as loud as I would like them to be. When I am using the mouse pad, the arrow will suddenly jump all over the screen or the mouse pad will click on something without me clicking the pad. Also, the keyboard is hard to see at night. It would have been nice to have some sort of light for the keys. Other than that, I like my laptop. It is super fast, has tons of storage, and a long battery life. It gets what I need done. And... The coolest part where it easily flips into a touch screen tablet is a huge plus! Overall....3 out of 5.

I am a self-described computer techie and am a tech-a-holic! So, my review is based on comparison against other high-end machines. I purchased this unit as "open-box" for $999 during a sale on the "new" unopened box model. So they adjusted the price for me as I asked! Thank you BBY! I am writing this review on my "upstairs" Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition, which is an Intel I7-6700HQ (VN7-592G), which is also powerful. I also purchased on the Lenovo Yoga 900 I7 6th generation with 256 SSD during a Best Buy deal of the day for $699. So I am indeed a tech dude. Okay, the Asus Q534UX is a beautiful machine! I am a software developer (surprise!) and I work with VISUAL STUDIO 2017/2016 / Eclipse Neon 2 / Net Beans / MS SQL Server 2017 and the machine handles all of them with ease. The screen is stunning! Let's do a little Pros and Cons shall we? Pros: * 4K Screen * 16 GIG DDR4 Memory * 512 SSD Drive * 2 TB SATA drive @ 5400 * Nice keyboard for larger hands * Multiple ports * Wireless Networking is awesome! I max out about 240 mbps / 12 mbps Cons * 2GIG Video Card is a disappointment for this price point and screen quality * Battery Life is not too good. If I am compiling programs, etc. it is about 2 hours. General surfing is about 3 or 4 hours. This is a full power level. * The aluminum body is a finger print magnet! Special note, I have been trying to find a back up charger and it is near impossible! Why you ask? This ASUS Q534UX uses a 04.5mm tip at 19V, which is hard to find. Every "universal charger" I tried to purchase at Best Buy wouldn't fit. That included Insigna / Targus. I opened the box and tried ALL THE TIPS and NO LUCK! It is also 90 watts. Overall, awesome high-end machine. If you can find an open-box then go for it for the best value.

For a 1/2 terabyte of SSD and 2 TB HD extra plus a 7/7 intel chip and 16 RAM and GTX processor in a touch that bends over backwards you have a nice machine. Closest I can find like this is $500 more. I like the backlit screen and the long battery life makes it possible to get through the day on 1 charge. Only drawback for me in Windows 10 and all the apps that make you think you have some free extras till you find they are only free for 30 days or so. UHD screen is nice but my AOL desktop is now too small to read. It is an AOL problem. The computer is fine.

I've had this over a month now and am quite pleased with my decision to get this model. This was replacing an ASUS K53E model and is significantly higher everything. From 320G HDD to 2.5T[512SSD plus 2T HDD], i3 to i7, 8gb ram to 16g ram, 4k video, usb 2.0 to 3.0 and thunderwire, touchscreen, fold to tablet. I thought my old system was overkill until this came along... My only criticism is that that finish is too smooth to grip when taking it out of backpack. If you are not careful, there is potential to fling this laptop across the room unintentionally.

The ASUS Q534UX notebook is an excellent computer. Since it has the latest Intel i7 processor, 512GB SSD, 2TB hard drive, 2GB VRAM NVIDIA graphics card, LED UHD touch screen display, and other outstanding specifications, it performs very well. It can also be used as a tablet by folding back the keyboard for use. The keyboard is deactivated when used as a tablet. The unit does not have an optical drive for disc so an external unit has to be purchased to read and write a disc. Am very satisfied with the computer and would certainly recommend buying it.

This lappy is the only one I could find loaded with massive ram, storage and a fast ssd drive to start windows quick, at this incredible price point!! I am using it as a dj " brain center " at gigs. The 2tb internal storage holds all my library. The backlit keyboard is great in dark settings and the touch screen is spot on in my apps. The only negative is like others have mentioned.....the case is a fingerprint magnet. ....but I'm going to put a wicked "wrap" on this beast, to eliminate that...runs cool, bright, and NOT loaded with crapware.

I bought the open box, so my price was fantastic, but honestly I couldn't find anything with near the same specs as this for anywhere close to this price. A 512gb SSD deive that starts the computer and programs up fast and a huge SATA drive for my files and all of my photos is exactly what I wanted. Love the touchscreen too! Battery Life is the only drawback. Maybe 3 hours on a full charge. It's also a little heavier than I would prefer, but for the price, I'm satisfied.

I am so happy to have the Asus - 2-in-1 15.6 4k UHD Touch-screen Laptop. It has Intel Core I7 (7th Gen) with 16gb Memory with superb Nvidia Geforce Gtx 950m video graphics card. Further it has 2TB HDD with 512GB SSD which starts Windows in a second. Perhaps, someone will never go back to his/her current computer again, once you use it. I wish it has silver color. The mouse pad is smooth and the screen looks so crispy. This is one laptop in the market in reasonable price with everything on it. I just love it.

I was in search of a new laptop, and decided to roll the dice with the ASUS 2-in-1 Q534U. The laptop boast of the latest intel I-7 processor. The 4K screen is bright, and sharp. The laptop has 2 separate drives one is a SSD - 512gigs, and the other is a 2terabytes HDD. The new NVIDIA 950 M graphics display adapter is great for gaming. The only con is that the laptop is a tad pricey, and doesn't have an optical disk drive.
