I am glad that I chose this laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this open box laptot 2 weeks ago and use it all this time, so, now I can tell, that it was very good design to buy it. It came to me in original box with a passport and looked like new! It works perfect: good speed, it is quiet and can works 10 hours per battery, has very good screen (but with the 2 small spots of lighting because it's IPS matrix which I see when the screen is dark). But in general, it's really good thing. I can play almost all new games and it has perfect design! I love it!

ASUS 15.6" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All of the features with this laptop work great, and the price was right. The only issue I have had is the on-board mouse pad is not great, it acts kind of inconsistently. Under-responsive one time, and over-responsive other times. My favorite capabilities are here, in approx order: - 16GB RAM - I can run VMs for work without crippling the system - NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU - for gaming - Intel Core i7 - good performance - 4K Ultra HD Touch-screen display - great colors, response, blacks, AND it's touch screen, which I questioned before purchasing, but it comes in handy sometimes :) - The storage config - 256GB SSD for OS and high performance I/O and then 2TB HDD for data. I find this is the best of both worlds. - Can be used as laptop or "tablet"

Great Computer with minor difficultes.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this laptop back in march of 2019 and it is October 2019 on the date of this review. I have been experiencing multiple blue screen crashes since purchase however the crashes have become sporadic . I can not do any important work/projects/gaming since this problem has increased. I have an appointment on Friday to get this repaired so we shall see. (ASUS and BEST BUY have teamed up to provide on site warranty repairs so you no longer have to send it in via mail. You can now go in store to drop off at no cost to you for a warranty repair.) Before the blue screen crashes this PC had been amazing and no real complaints. I have enjoyed it quite a bit, as it replaced an older 2014 ASUS. Picture quality, smoothness, performance, audio, and no lag whatsoever with gaming has earned it a 10/10 in my book. I would definitely recommend to a friend if I can get my computer issues resolved or a replacement computer because it is can be a real pain to have an unreliable laptop. Luckily I am still under warranty! I have read online that this is a common problem for this particular model however once resolved the computer will run flawlessly again. I would highly encourage an extended warranty as these problems tend to reveal themselves after the one year marker for this model. If you can make it past all the Knicks and knacks that come with this particular model, you will not be disappointed with your purchase. Even with all the kinks this laptop has, you will not find another that can compete with this one in the same price range. You will be looking at around 2k-3k range for a laptop that can hold its own against this model.

Perfect for my graphic design work.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that this computer is so powerful--and affordable. It has performed beautifully. I am constantly running 2-3 creative suite programs: photoshop, illustrator, indesign, etc, and it handles them all. The only problem I have had--which could be an adobe problem, not a computer, is that while drawing with a stylus, (because this computer has a touchscreen that can fold all the way around) Illustrator will close if I'm drawing something a little complicated.

Wow, Just Wow
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love ASUS since the 1990’s when I built computers with their motherboards. This is my 3rd laptop from them and it’s the best yet. Storage for days and speed for miles. 4K Touchscreen playback quality is on par with my Samsung QLed TV. This is as much fun to play with as my iPad Pro. In fact, the iPad is my work device, lol. A Ferrari in laptop form.

Solid laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the value it is a solid option. The hardware is fantastic (only gripe is video card and the lack of ethernet plug-in capability) and the amount of space makes it a storage monster. The laptop operates very effectively and it does effortlessly in the tablet mode as well. Tons of great features in and out makes it extremely versatile. Beautiful picture, high quality sound, and fast functionality between apps and tasks. This laptop is a great in-between for me, meaning, I can do all my business work but also game to a pretty high level. It can handle everything I throw at it work wise, and gaming wise- almost everything. In regards to entertainment, I love watching movies and listening to music on it because of the picture and speaker quality. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Wonderful!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven’t owned a laptop in YEARS. But I wanted something light and mildly powerful. I wasn’t looking for a full blown gaming laptop, but something that could be used when I travel to play and also do homework. First, I wasn’t prepared for how beautiful the screen is. Touch screens have come a long way since they were first introduced on PCs and laptops, and this one is amazing. Second, gaming. So my desktop PC is going to our perform this laptop, but this guy can still keep up. Can’t blast it on full graphics, but I can still play and be happy with the settings it can achieve. Third, weight. It’s pretty light for power it packs. It’s probably my only downside for me, but it was worth the trade off. Fourth, the design. ASUS to me has always meant quality. I don’t know the material that’s used for the casing, but it’s cool and sleek. Fifth, the screen goes backwards. This was a surprise. Though in hindsight I knew it shouldn’t be because the screen is a touch screen. But I was no idea it could flip around and go into tablet mode. I don’t use it often like that, but it’s nifty.

Great for begginners
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is good no doubt. But there some issues. My biggest issue is probably the face is. It's not as good as an Apple or Android's face id since it only recognizes you the way you set it up. But it's not so much or a Hassel really since there are two other ways to sign in. It's a really fast computer and Window's edge works like a beauty. Also I'd your a big fan of gaming this is really good. For example if you the game Fortnite on here it can run at 150fps depending on your settings. Overall I would recommend this laptop to any highschool students or College/University students.

Nice Laptop, but a Bit Expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a portable and light laptop with a dedicated graphics card, Asus is the one to consider. This 2-in-1 hybrid is made of high quality aluminum and carries on NVidia's GeForce GTX 1050. Compared to a MacBook, this is a no brainer. It costs less than a half of a comparable MacBook and has a much better, I would say more modern, bezelless, design. However, when putting it side by side with similar PCs, it gets kind of expensive. Sure, it does have a 4K display, but it is more of a marketing gimmick than anything else: - From a normal viewing distance, you won't notice much of a difference. Especially, on a 15.6" size screen - It is pretty much worthless in games, as you may forget about 4K gaming with GTX 1050 - It consumes the battery like crazy Again, if you have an unlimited budget and need that 4K display, this is a very nice laptop to own. Frequent Photoshop users would love it. But if you are on a tight budget, I would go for something less expensive. Like a Zenbook-series laptop.

Beautiful high-end laptop with an amazing screen!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this laptop for cheaper than the marked price because it was an open-box item. Still had the plastic on it and everything, and I saved about 300 dollars because of this. If I had to go back and buy this laptop at full price, I absolutely would. It has an amazing 4k IPS display, no screen defects and it's super bright. The color accuracy is almost perfect. One of the best displays I've seen in a laptop (or in general). It's also very well made and feels quite durable. Has a bit of weight to it but that's easily forgiven as it's pretty slim and packs quite a few features. I love the keyboard, trackpad and infrared camera for Windows Hello. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this laptop for gamers just because it's not geared towards gaming. However, with that being said, it still gets the job done quite nicely if you lower the resolution to 1080p or 720p. It gets rather warm when it ramps up but that's to be expected. It handled most modern games I've tried at 1080p just fine. I even tried running the new Modern Warfare and it was more than capable. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a powerful, portable and feature rich notebook. And it's definitely up to the task for some light gaming, too.

Checks all of the Boxes
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen is crystal clear, keyboard has good travel, very good specs. I got this on sale for $999 new and nothing else comes close to it for the price. The only complaint is that the track pad could be a little nicer, but this is a small complaint. I also grabbed a bamboo pencil and it works great. I was also surprised about the battery life. I thought an i7, 4k screen would get 3-5 hours of battery life, but after a couple rounds it was closer to 6-7 hours and it charges reasonably fast. This PC maybe overkill for some, but to get an 8th gen i7, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 4K LED LCD display, NVDIDA GTX 1050, 2 in 1 form factory, 256GB SSD, and 2 TB of HDD for under $1000......I could not pass it up. Great for work, school, gaming, leisure, or photograhy.

Great Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a new laptop that can handle 4K and video editing. A rig like that would be real expensive but this laptop was right in my price range. It’s fast easy to use streams my videos for editing at 10:80 no problem. Haven’t ran any 4K video through it yet but I’m sure it won’t have any issues as my rendering is really quick with my 1080 P videos. When I’m gaming the fan gets a lil louder but it’s not drowning out the speakers. I’ve had it now for several months and I’m just as happy as the first day I bought it.

Great Laptop w/super features
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used Asus since building computers and using their motherboards. I've always been satisfied with their product. When buying this computer, I was considering the Microsoft Flip, as well, and the Asus Gaming Computer, since I've already had two of them. This was the obvious choice for me without going over budget. Everything worked the first time. I love the flip feature, and that it is small and portable. I do a ton of photography and photo editing with products that use up a lot of bandwidth and space, and it isn't unusual for me to have an editor open and two browsers going at the same time. This guy handles it all wonderfully! and the SD card reader works like a dream! Love it and would highly recommend it as a mighty but little workhorse!

Great Laptop with everything I need
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second ASUS Laptop. I had previous model which had some electric problem. ASUS is trust worthy and good. They refunded and I used that amount to buy this laptop. Very much happy with ASUS customer service and their product. Plenty of storage Faster RAM for regular use. When I used with video editing, emits lot of heat and CPU temp raises to 90C. I use it for light photo editing without any complaints I don't use it as tablet model. Tried few times. Little heavy. I prefer to use it as regular Laptop mode Touch screen works great. 4K screen quality is good. Sound quality is enough for me. Gaming - never tried. Played only candy crush saga :) Lot of storage. Overall awesome device with all in one features.

Blazing fast and good for gaming but heats up
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is exactly how I want any PC I own to perform, other than the overheating thing. I'm not sure it's overheating as it's getting hot. Maybe it's my use of it but if I'm gaming, I'm not gaming for just 30 minutes. Performancewise though, you'd be hard pressed to find something out of a box that can do what this can. I'm impressed and like it so I'm keeping it.

ASUS Q536FD Review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a portable laptop and this seemed to fit the bill for size, weight, and storage. A wired Ethernet port is desirable, but not a deal breaker. Installation went without a hitch. Ran into a problem using a PNY 32GB USB 3.0 memory stick on the USB2.0 port. The device keeps dropping in and out. It works fine when plugged into the USB3.0 port, so the problem is with the PNY device, not the laptop. I'm having an intermittent problem with the laptop connecting to my wireless network. I have not been able to isolate the problem. I purchased a USBC hub to serve as a docking station for additional USB3.0 ports and a wired Ethernet interface as a backup when wireless isn't available. The docking station provides a HDMI port. Unfortunately, the USBC port on the ASUS Q536FD doesn't support the DisplayPort over USBC extension. Look for the DisplayPort symbol next to the USBC connector if your are shopping for a laptop and need more than one external monitor or you want a fully functional docking station over USBC.
