Power button being next to the volume control has caused many shut downs when I'm trying to control the volume. Poor design in my opinion. DIdn''t nave this problem with my old ASUS.

I am amazed at how fast this laptop is. I really had never heard of this brand,but the sales person recommended it and said it was a reliable product. So I thought I would try it. Great price and I am very satisfied with this laptop

The product has mind-blowing specs. A 12GB RAM and a 2TB HDD is very impressive. But, it tends to hang up at times, I have not come across a solution for this. The screen just freezes, and I have to shut it down and restart again. It is very very irritating. Such minor things don't matter much but then while working, we expect it function smoothly, and that too within 2 months of purchasing. But when things like this happen, I regret my decision to buy this laptop. If you can handle this, then it's fine you can buy it...

Bought this computer for my fiancé, who is a huge music lover. It has a lot of storage space and a good graphics card. The computer works great and he loves using it for holding his purchased music and watching music videos. A+

I purchased this laptop in 2016 and was quite impressed initially. The documentation on the ASUS website is limited and over the past few years it has slowed down quite a bit. I decided to put a 1 TB SSD drive into the machine and it works like new! If you have an older laptop such as this, I would recommend an SSD drive. It's easy to replace with many YouTube videos to guide you through the process.

Upgraded from a 2012 Dell Inspiron to this Asus..it's amazing for me. Graphics are great for casual gaming and watching video, and I love the backlit keyboard. I don't use the touchscreen often but it's cool to have.

This laptop has to be one of asus' most prominent laptops.This thing is a machine,I am a gamer,a artist,a dj,and a student.With the nvidia before 940m all games can run smoothly(try bioshock infinite at ultra settings).Also the flip hinge allows me to make a new sketch anytime I want,with as many tools as I want.The 2tb hard drive provided allows me to have endless music.The seamlessness of windows 10 allows me to switch from notes to word and from word to Google slides all possible by the 12 GB of RAM.

Great computer that is more than advertised. The speed is faster than any other computer I have owned and it is very easy to utilize. Touchscreen is a nice thing to have when changing from app to app. Can't go wrong.

Super fast laptop with great memory storage. Solid hinges for full flip capabilities. Touch screen responds very well to touch. Best laptop I've purchased to date.

The bad (it's all minor stuff!!!): I do not like the location of the power button (left side near front by USB). It is easy to hit by accident and puts the whole computer to sleep, sometimes in the middle of working. Also, sometimes the computer does not wake up on the first try. When not plugged into power and not even being used the laptop dies quickly (within hours). The good (mostly performance--the stuff that matters!!!): Excellent keyboard layout/keys/tension and backlight. Fantastic graphics. Great speed, response and efficiency. Sleek build. Decent speakers for slim line build. Great for portable and stationary multimedia/gaming/word processing/web use. Would definitely buy again.

I was unaware of this brand until the folks at Best Buy introduced me to it. I had a couple of bad experiences with HP laptops recently, 2 died within 1 year. So far I am extremely pleased with my Asus. It is not too heavy and is easy to use. The screen resolution makes it great for watching movies as well as being able to do paperwork. I can keep multiple tabs open and working at the same time so am not held up "waiting". I especially love the back lit keyboard which aids when the light is not great. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone.

I needed a quick powerful media laptop for an airshow asap and this product did its job. It not only was handy for reviewing and storing onsight footage but was fast enough to edit my finised work with ease.

I bought this computer to upgrade the existing one I had which is 5 years old. I thought having a computer w/tablet capabilities would be a good addition. However, I found that using the laptop as a tablet to be a bit cumbersome. In a pinch, it will do -- especially while traveling with a need for full laptop access. However, to cart this around as only a tablet is a bit of an overkill! Great computer! Good tablet if you don't mind the weight!

Laptop and tablet in one....still learning to use the whole thing....thank goodness for the geek squad! The main reason I bought this particular laptop was for the storage and it has a cd drive. I am putting all my cd's on the laptop and bought an external drive to save the files to....also a thank goodness to qeek squad on setting that up.

I love this computer although it's not a dedicated gaming laptop if you were to want to play some graphically demanding games this laptop can run most on medium settings smoothly at 60fps and some games on high settings! I bought this mostly for college and wanted something with a decent size screen that was lightweight since I travel frequently and have to carry it back and forth to class. This has met all my expectations and a few more it has a decent amount of ram and a cool 2 TB HARDDRIVE and on top of all that it's touchscreen which is an extra little thing that isn't necessary but there are other laptops out there with smaller screens non touchscreen with a smaller hard drive and no dedicated graphics at all going for the same price as this laptop! Granted they are "brand name" which explains why these laptops with worse stats cost as much as this laptop because you are buying the brand not the parts which is asinine, but inexperienced buyers fall for that all the time. Asus is a big brand name however they don't skimp on quality you can trust with Asus you'll always get your money's worth out of their products. Desktops are always going to be cheaper and more customizable especially if you build it yourself like me, but if you need the convenience and portability of a laptop and want quality look no further than this laptop the only stock computers that surpass it in specs are dedicated gaming laptops that will cost you hundreds more. This laptop is a perfect balance of quality, cost, and functionality. It is worth every penny

I purchased this laptop thinking I would get something semi high end in hopes it would be fast and stay relevant for a long time. The performance is less than what I expected. The laptop lags and it's really discouraging given the price. It keeps on shutting down when it sleeps. It has just shut off while I was working a couple of times. My work laptop is a Dell and it is much more stable. I hope that this is just odd behavior while the software updates. If not I may bring it back. I hate the hassle!!

Overall good, powerful laptop for content creation & consumption. Few complaints so far except for a strange problem with the computer clock getting out of sync - but I would attribute that more to windows 10 than the laptop itself. Otherwise, the 2-in-1 is wonderful, and really great for work, fun, and presenting.

This is our first experience with an Asus product and happily it's a good one. Specifically, it combines some of the disappearing features such as the DVD player recorder with new upgrades such as a 2 T hard drive. The main drawback is the absence of visible activity light which is not of high importance. Also, it comes at a very nice price when compared to similar products on the market.

Exxelent quality. Programs run fast and smooth once loaded. Runs Photoshop with ease. The touchscreen with keyboard that flips around is nice but it's odd feeling the keyboard on my legs. I hope the keys last. It does take a long time go start up. Too many programs are installed and I can't remove most of them. Overall the best computer have ever bought. Both my doughters are enjoying it.

I bought this as an 'open box.' Which was a gamble, for me, anyways. I was very intrigued that it had such high specifications and was excited to get the device home. I had set everything up, and it was working beautifully! Then, disaster. I experienced multiple blue screen and random restarts. So many, so quickly, I was terrified that I had some how picked up a virus. After the device black screened and became completely unresponsive, I checked it in at GeekSquad. (they rock, as per usual) I was told that, no it was NOT a virus, the device must have just glitched. So, they wiped it, and reset it. & made sure to recover as much as possible, and update everything for me. Well, after getting the device back, I had it less than a week, before blue screen and random restarts started occurring. As my mental health is already compromised (I have complex PTSD), I took the device to the local Best Buy. It turns out, this specific device, was just a bad apple. Best Buy replaced immediately. NOW, amazing. Perfect. Not worth the full hassle, however, well worth the efforts.
