Once I got it adjusted for brightness ,set the screen to a very light gray tone it was perfect for me . Adjustments are easy to make, Ian very happy with this unit!

Has all the ports you need. Only 1 HDMI port but it's a low end monitor for great 1080P gaming.

I bought this monitor for my Mac Mini. So far I have mixed opinions about it. So, I'll start with the strengths then some brief rundowns of what could be improved. To start, lets talk value. The price is awesome; that's why I purchased this particular monitor. Asus, has a reputation for making good stuff. Back in the days when I was a system builder, I swore by Asus Motherboards. Under $200.00 for a monitor with a quality display is simply awesome. The display on this is VERY crisp! I cannot wait to play Crysis on it! I do not see how one can get a better 23" for under $200 dollars. I spent about three days muling through close-outs and referbs all over the Internet and could not find anything better for the price. For Aesthetics, I'll give it a 6. It's not an Apple Thunderbolt Bolt flat-panel, but it looks better than than the run-of-the-mill flat panel and it's under $1000. Three features I love are: HDMI in/DVI in/VGA in. I run three boxes off this, my mac mini, my Windows gaming machine, and a Unix box. Each hooks into a different input. All I need to do is hit the switch and select DVI//HDMIVGA in. Pretty darn slick.... The design of the input ports are nice too. I cannot stand the way most monitors put the port so plug fits vertically and is difficult to get to. Usually I'll need to clear my desk, flip the monitor around, and even get a flash light to see the DVI/VGA connectors line up properly. Well, on this they're on the back of the monitor in plain view.. I can just reach in back and plug the video in. So great display, convenient inputs, and awesome price. Lets talk some downfalls now. The first thing that irritated me was that it shipped with display brightness turned to 100%! Remember when I mentioned great display? This thing is bright too! I was so blinded, looking for the controls I had to get a pair of sunglasses to make out the icons on the control buttons so I could turn the brightness down. I'm not joking either. If you get this be careful when you first turn it on. Now to the controls. This is common with products made by Asian companies, too. In Asia it's common for people to read an entire manual before using a device. While here in the USA we just open the box and plug it in, American tech products are refined to be usable right off the bat. Asian products usually are not because people read the documentation. The point I'm getting at is this: the button controls to adjust the settings of the monitor are slightly over-complicated. I had to go get the manual and figure it out. With my previous monitor, it was plain as day how to set contrast, brightness, etc... While adjusting the settings, I noticed that the monitor kind of jiggles back and forth when the buttons are depressed. No biggie, but I prefer a solid feel to equipment. Also, the plastic in the rear of the monitor is low quality plastic. Very hard and brittle. So here's my final analysis: value : 9 graphics: 9 user friendly: 6 build quality: 7 This is still a great product and well worth the price. But I cannot say it's five stars. But an easy 4 because one is hard-pessed to find a better flat-panel for under $200.

Overall this is a very good monitor for the price. It is LED back lit, LCD screen, 1920x1080 full HD, amazing brightness options and color. Controls are easy to understand and use, and the setup is very easy, no tools necessary just one hand screw in the bottom of the stand. The only real downside is the 60Hz refresh rate. I wish it was better, 75Hz or 120Hz would be nice for video games and other media, but it is still good and HD either way, just dont plan to use maximum fps settings if playing games with this monitor. You will need to lower it just a bit, but hardly noticeable unless you are well versed in this stuff. Other than that, the sturdiness of the whole thing is kind of poor. The screen wiggles around when I type hard on my keyboard from the vibrations in the table. It can be distracting. But I absolutely recommend this monitor to anyone who is looking for an excellent monitor for any purpose that wants to keep the price around $150-$200. It is the best in its price range I think.

This monitor is great! I ordered my monitor on labor day, and got it two days later! And that was with free shipping! Once I pulled it out of the box, I noticed that it had an anti glare screen, which is great. With this monitor you get two sets of cables, and it's HDMI ready. It has a 1080p resolution with only 2ms response time, and that's what you want for gaming. This monitor is perfect, and the only thing that could improve, would be making it 120hz, but you will only notice that it's 60hz if you used to use a 120hz monitor, while gaming over 60fps, otherwise, it doesn't matter. Also, if you get this with a computer, it will only cost 160! Seriously, get this monitor!

I was building a new pc, and found this monitor to complete my collection. It is great for everyday use, the colors are dark and rich and not to mention it's thin and sleek design. I do use this mainly for gaming though and with the 2ms response time I don't get ghosting and with it being so big it's like playing a game on a LED tv pretty much. Very happy with this purchase, and like I said in the what's not so great section the power and settings buttons are underneath. I kind of wish they were in the front of the monitor to make it easier to access them sometimes but that shouldn't sway you from purchasing this.

This is the first review I write and its because of how happy I am with the product. Plugged in my xbox 360 with hdmi port and quality is amazing. Stands nice with adjustable feature. Big enough to watch a movie on from 6 feet away. Perfect computer compatibility with a nice sized display. Id reccomend this monitor to anyone looking for a good bang for your buck deal.

If you are looking for an excellent monitor to get the biggest bang for your buck, stop looking because this is it. I`m a gamer, and a Videographer with demanding editing software, and this monitor is excellent for either of them. I loved it so much I bought 3, so I`m using 3 monitor setup and I am ecstatic about the great quality for the price, you can never go wrong with an ASUS product as far as quality goes. Great features: 2ms response time, LED, HD 1080, light and thin, VGA, DVI, HDMI ports that hook up horizontally instead of vertically like many monitors making it so you don`t have the hassle of turning the monitor upside down to plug in your connections. Control settings are decent, not too difficult to figure out. You wont be disappointed with this one, I have searched high and low for a great deal and found it here, don`t pass it up.

I am going to Art school right now for 3-D animation so i really needed to get another monitor. I did some research for about 3 weeks till i came to the conclusion to buy this one. I have no problems what so ever. You can see this monitor clearly, the screen is very big, the resolution is perfect with amazing color! If you are looking at getting this for gaming or art (2-D or 3-D) Then this is the one for you!

I bought this monitor for my ps3 and use the hdmi for it. The image quality is outstanding. My previous gaming screen was a 18.5 in. tv and I wante to switch to led. There is no ghosting at all with the 2ms response time.

Large screen with high resolution. Not much to complain about. It even comes with several picture modes to suit gaming, movies, or whatever you like. Mines set to theater mode for the vibrant colors. It is a bit wobbly, but I fixed that quickly but pressing it up against the inside of my desk (it has a cubby hole). Just an FYI: this comes with VGA cables, use them if you have problems with your HDMI connection, that should solve any issues you have.

I shopped around for a 23 inch display. This one was a very competitive price. It doesn't have speakers, but it does have a line out that works with the HDMI, although I haven't figured out how, exactly. I use this on my high end laptop with HDMI and a dual monitor set up with the laptop monitor, works great. I also use it in my office with the desk top. I don't have HDMI on my desktop, but I have a dvi port. No worries, the monitor INCLUDES DVI and VGA cables. Color and contrast are great. There is really no problem with the monitor or set up. Recommend!!

Purchased this after years of having small monitors.Been very easy on the eyes(getting old).Don't do games and such,just searching the web and online buying.I love it.Great price for this quality.
