I bought this monitor as a second display for my laptop, and the first thing I noticed is how vivid the colors are. Despite the size of the screen, the monitor takes up very little room on my desk, and the quality is amazing. If you're considering a multiple monitor system for gaming or productivity, I'd highly recommend this monitor.

My wife bought this monitor first, and I was so impressed with it that I bought one for myself as well, replacing a monitor that was still functional, but not nearly as high quality. I have watched videos on this monitor, and the quality is amazing. I t was just as good as watching it on tv. Therein no glare and the colors are fantastic.

We were looking for a large monitor to use for our home office. We found this monitor to be a great fit. The picture is clear and the big plus is built i speakers. We found very few monitors that were 27" that had the speakers. Would recommend to all.

Image quality and sharpness is great, tends towards oversaturation of color, but a fair bit of tweaking has that mostly under control. Narrow bezel looks great, almost makes the image feel edge to edge. Only real issue with the monitor is I hate the buttons. They are touch sensitive, and don't move at all, plus, I think it's just laziness of design to not have dedicated up, down, left, right and enter buttons. The multipurpose buttons are unintuitive and are painful to use.

I'm glad I purchased this monitor over a 24 inch. Great sleek design with very good response time and resolution.

I purchased this monitor because I do CAD and I wanted to set up three monitors. I use this one as the main screen and have two smaller Asus monitors set up in portrait theme on both sides. The price of this item was perfect and the picture quality is great. It was an easy set up and I am totally satisfied.

Was looking for a monitor to use for computer and Xbox 360. Debated buying a tv instead because this unit is a bit pricey but I am so glad I bought the Asus instead. It's response time is amazing and the image quality is crisp. If you're debating spending the extra money, it's no question. BUY IT. You won't regret it

I purchased this Monitor solely for the purpose of console gaming and video rendering. I got the IPS for the better color reproduction over the TN panels and better overall viewing angles. It has a great build and a very modern look. The Silver and almost edge less bezel make it look larger then it is. The response time is good for console as it doesn't ever rise above 60fps. Even with the Trace feature turned down. I use the game settings with the following set up. Brightness- 85 Contrast- 90 Brightness- 60 Color temp- neutral to warm Blue filter - 1 Sharpness- 20-40 Trace - Higher values claim better response time. Lower values higher. - 20-60. Depending on game being played. ACR- Hyper Contrast - OFF Saturation- 50 I get a good balance between "Color Pop" and performance with this settting. The IPS panel does lack on color Saturation and POP compared to the TN panels but nothe enough to outweigh the benifits of the IPS panel. In the end I give it 4 stars leaning to 3.5. Owing alot of panels and different LED,LCD screens I find it to be what's expected for 229.99. I kept it and use it daily and even though it's not the Power House of the 400+ panels it will look great on any desk and for photo, video editing and non PC gaming it will perform to a higher standard then most in this price range and higher.

I love the size of the monitor. It allows me to see more information at the same time or more details of a single application. The frameless design is great for cleaning and helps minimize the space required for this monitor. For us, the monitor doubles as a TV and the picture is fantastic.

I got this to use on my computer that I game on mostly and it was such an upgrade from my little 22 inch I was using. The colors are very vivid, the customization you can do to fit your eyes are endless and its very easy to use. All in all I would recommend this product to anyone!

Screen is amazing. Speakers are louder than you would think. We actually chose this one because our office is predominately Mac, and we have an open office environment, but this specific dept needed pcs. The aesthetics fit in very well with a Mac oriented office.

I had 50 dollars in reward credits that I needed to use or I would lose them. I didn't know what to buy with my credits when I walked into the Best Buy. I walked passed this monitor and remembered I had recently been looking for a new monitor for my home office setup and it looked pretty smooth on the display. I figured "I'll give it a shot, after all I'm getting it 50 dollars cheaper than it's regular price". I picked it up and immediately started to worry if I could hook this into my setup. I wanted to share this monitor with my work laptop and my personal home computer via a DVI KVM switch. Well this monitor doesn't have DVI, but HDMI. I thought for sure I was going to have to hunt down a DVI to HDMI cable, but was immediately relieved to see this monitor came with the necessary cables to hook up to DVI, and VGA. As for the picture, it's superb, not the highest of resolutions but at this price point you get a solid 1920x1080 resolution, the HD standard. IMO anything more would be hard to see without scaling up the size of fonts etc. Colors are faithfully reproduced. And it's an IPS monitor so the screen doesn't get washed out when viewing from off center. This is nice if you are hooking up the monitor to a gaming console and are playing with a friend as both players will get a clear picture. I can't comment on the sound as I am still using my PC speaker set, but just having speakers is a bonus I suppose, especially if you are trying to reclaim space on your desk. As for the looks, the monitor is sleek and very thin. The base is sturdy and well balanced. You need to buy a special kit I believe if you want to hang it on the wall as it doesn't come VESA compliant. Overall a great monitor.

I have never been disappointed with Asus products. Good monitor, easy to set up. Speakers built in which means less items on my desk. I was very happy to get rid of the desktop speakers and use the monitor speakers instead. picture is clean and crsip.

I bought 2 of this monitors for my gaming laptop. I use them in desktop extended mode so I can see all my video editing tools on one screen and the preview on the second screen AND the tracks on the laptop screen. This makes my work very easy. I gave one point less then 5, because I realized later, that this monitors have no pre-installed mounting holes to hang on wall mount or on a Dual Monitor Mount. I build myself a stand out of wood to have the right height.

Paid $200 on black friday. Resolution at this size isnt that great but didnt want to spend $500 for 1440p. Still has a good picture. The design is beautiful. Very thin bezel. Hdmi is nice to have. There is no vesa mount for those wanting to mount it.

Good addition to my setup, used as a second monitor for design. Best part is the size and the Matte finish rather than the glossy finish most monitors have these days. The buttons are way to sensitive and will take some getting use to and the out of the box setup is way to bright. Overall it is a great buy for the price once you tweak the settings quite a bit.

This is a great Monitor for the money. first the Negatives It does have speakers built in but they are not very loud so I do not use them. The controls are very sensitive so if you have a small work place you will need to be careful not to touch them accidentally. I put a small piece of folded paper card in front of the controls to avoid bumping them. But if your work space is larger then you shouldn't have that problem. The Screen itself is great and I love the border-less frame. it is very easy on the eyes and no glare it is like looking at a painting on canvas. it setup automatically on my computer and I have not had to adjust anything it is my primary monitor and viewer for watching movies on line in lieu of a Television. Would love to get another. one as a secondary monitor.

I bought 1 of these when i put my rig together about 2 months ago. Shortly after I had to get another becuase they work so well i wanted duals. Now im rocking 3 of these on an Asus z87 sabertooth, 4770k i7, 32 gig ram, and an asus gtx 770 card. works great for my gaming needs! I have bought a couple of these to send to family and everyone loves it! my only major complaint is the audio quality. I have played with the settings on the monitors and the computer, and cannot seem to get them to sound good... they have plenty of bass, but the treble is all the way up and sounds muffled. not a huge issue because im using Logitech G230 headphones about 99% of the time.

While it is not a 4k monitor just a 1080p one but this monitor is bright had lots of control tons of features good response and refresh rate and all in all i have not had a single issue with this monitor. The buttons are a little touchy all you have to do is touch not press the buttons making it quick to turn it off and on. The sound quality is fairly nice and has a audio in and out port as well as the multiple HDMI ports. Great monitor for gaming and strongly suggest it. I fully intend to get two more in the future.

This is a fantastic monitor. The speakers in the rear ore great if you are moving the system because you already have your speakers. As for sound quality they are good but not as great as external ones. I play lots of games with high graphic demands. This monitor does not let me down. It picks up the smallest detail without blur or lag. Of course having a top notch graphic card helps too. I have not tried it with any other but the Nvdia 980. Controls are all on front and easy to operate. I consider this a 5 star monitor. If sound is your primary objective though you may be a tad disappointed. I wish I could have 4 speakers operating, the ones in the monitor and the external ones for better effect. However just because I couldn't doesn't mean it cannot be done.
