Thousands of TINY red dancing "pixels" in the dark areas - I changed HDMI cord (tried 3 of them) but still the same. Older monitor did not have this issue, so graphics card not the issue either.

I felt it was a bit overpriced for the lack of deep blacks in the color, but I wanted the 1ms response, and a good size. I have two of these monitors. 2 years later one died unexpectedly. Out of warranty of course. I have HP LCD monitors from almost 10 years ago that are stick ticking away, so this is pretty upsetting. I've noticed in several Asus products that the lifetime is barely over warranty in some cases. I would not recommend an Asus brand consumer product.

Compared with Dell 2740l, and HP 27xi, its color is kind of washed out. I ended up returned it.

Great monitor for the price. Was shocked when it arrived at the size of the monitor. I guess 27" was smaller in my mind, but the size is great especially since I've been using a laptop screen for the past few years. The wife really likes it also, she no longer has to squint at the screen to read. I have no issues with the color out of the box really. There are standard configurations that you can choose in the menu screen to adjust, or you can adjust manually if you like. All in all I'm enjoying it very well.

Saw this on sale and seemed like a great deal for the price and for what you get! I am not a huge PC gamer honestly and 1080p is fine with me, but the size of the monitor and 1ms latency for virtual lag free gaming you can't go wrong.

i rarely do 5 star reviews, but this thing is great. had 9 months now, fast response, very sharp and clear, best monitor i ever had.

I went out looking for an external monitor to go with my late 2012 27' iMac. I suppose I didn't do as much research as I had thought because when I got home and opened this and installed, I immediately had issues with the controls on the monitor. Now don't get me wrong, they work, they just aren't very intuitive, and are a bit of a hassle. Maybe I'm just spoiled from Mac products, but that was the least of my issues. The color was VERY washed out, pixelated and not very clear. I couldn't even get close to a color match no matter how hard i tried. I'm definitely going to return this and look for a newer more costly IPS monitor with higher resolution. Its unfortunate, but I really can't see myself working with this product.

Had this monitor for a couple of years and wanted to add 2 more monitors. Best Buy had a deal on Acer S271HL, it even had good reviews but when I got it home and set it up....oh my what terrible clarity on words. The picture was good but compared to my Asus it down right was bad!! Even though mine was two years old they still shined compared to Acer.

I was looking to get a new monitor because my old one was only 23". Overall this monitor looks nice and ultimately is a good size for the price. It will take some time getting used to a non gloss look as my old one had that. The reason I am giving this only 4 stars is because the Audio is terrible. Would work fine for work, but definitely not watching shows or gaming.

Wish I had bought this from Best Buy. I paid a little more at Tiger Direct and there was a rebate from ASUS. That was declined, so DO NOT TRUST REBATES FROM ASUS. Anyways, absolutely beautiful monitor!

I am running a triple monitor setup with this model. They are great for day to day work and for gaming. I have little use for 4K PC gaming, so they are perfect.

This Is A Great Monitor If You Dont Care About A Good Black Level! But Without A Good Black Level Everything Else Looks Like DooDoo.

When I opened the box I expected to see a set of understandable set up directions. This is the WORST set I have ever seen. After struggling for an hour I went on the internet and found a more detailed manual but still did not cover the installation. It just assumed you plug it in and it comes to life by itself. No matter which set of cables I use, I can't get any video. My computer worked fine with my existing monitor and this was simply to be an upgrade. I may have to go back to my old monitor. I would not recommend this or any other device that does not have a clear set of directions. They are so intent on printing the start up in so many different lanquages that they don't leave enough room for a decent set of set up instructions.
