We were having terrible Internet connectivity and decided to try a new router to see if we could improve. Our previous router was a Linksys and was difficult to set up requiring over an hour on the phone with the help desk. So our main concern was a good router, with easy set up. Y'all the Blue Cave set up took less than 5 minutes and we have reception all through our house and outside from the mailbox to the back fence! To add to that the Asus router comes with antivirus and it looks better than most of the alien spider routers on the market. We are very pleased. It is a little pricey but worth every penney.

Set up was a breeze and the speed and reliability fantastic. Offers a great deal of customization and enhanced controls / security.

Strong signal and lots of feature available. Works great as a part of AiMesh network. Still have issue with the guest network when on mesh as it does not work on the mesh devices.

I was looking for a router that had good performance but also looked good to without all the antenna's mounted to it. this router looks really good sitting on the end table and wouldn't even think it was a router. set up was easy and I put it to a speed test and I have 100mb download speed for service and it was at a constant 97mb to 100mb download speed and upload was right at 20mb with no problems very happy with the purchase.

I’m not a “tenchical” person. This is a terrific product. The ASUS “Blue Cave” router clocks in at. 30 Mbps faster than my VERY limited UVerse modem. I get excellent coverage throughout my house. The appearance is very different than any other router. The four hidden antennae and the square box with the glowing blue hole cause comments from visitors. I’m very pleased with the “Blue Cave” ASUS router.

Asus has done a wonderful job with this Wi-Fi router. First, the setup is a piece of cake. It is all but automatic with Windows 10. The Blue Cave is fast and handles the needs of our household with ease. We've got teenagers who are constantly streaming videos and the router doesn't even break a sweat. It is good looking too, so you won't mind having it on your desk. A very solid product.

Way faster with a lot less buffering. Only complaint is that it occasionally drops without reason but only rarely.

I have a 2000 sq ft home and it reaches every room and the back porch. The set up is easy and software is easy to use. It has the button to connect WPS and you can set up multiple guest networks as well. The blue light looks really good too. I've had this router for about 8 months and I've had no problems with it. Good strong signal.

Love the look of this router. Have put it on display because of the lighted cave. Has good range and great speed. Great product at a great price.

Bought this because it wasn’t a typical router and I love how it looks. Was also very easy to setup and had everything I needed.

This is an excellent router. We have very nice coverage all over the house. And it looks really cool. People keep asking about it. You can also set the brightness of the blue light. and it also functions as a night light. All in all, a very good product. Highly recommended.

We needed an a esthetically pleasing router offering exceptional performance for our new business. After doing research and cross referencing CNET, the Asus Blue Cave consistently came up. Easy set-up. Has incredibly fast download speeds. Looks great too.

I really like this router. These setup was really easy. It looks really sleek in my living room. It connects to another one of these very easily in a mesh network. I did my homework before buying these and I have not been disappointed.

I wish I bought 2 of them for a Asus Ai Mesh in my house.

Got this as the main router connected via AiMesh to Asus AC-68U. This is fast, Iong range, stable, AiMesh works perfectly, arguably better than other mesh routers.

As a single, stand-alone router, the Blue Cave works fine (nothing special, but it did it's job), but once it is made part of an AiMesh network, everything falls apart. I purchased this Blue Cave on sale to pair with an existing Blue Cave and boy was I sorry. When set up as the primary router in an AiMesh setup, it had to be rebooted several times per week; Wi-Fi connectivity would start to deteriorate after as little as one day of up time and would completely die after two to three days. I tried scheduled reboots in the middle of the night but as often as not, I'd wake up the next morning with no Wi_Fi after the soft reboot. It appeared that the DHCP service would gradually lose connected wireless devices (of the 15 -20 devices connected, eventually only the wired connections would be recognized). Firmware updates (which are few and far between) often made matters worse, and Asus support, though responsive to my emails, were of no help at all. After re-configuring my network using an Asus RT-AC68U (fantastic router, BTW) as my primary, and two Blue Caves as AiMesh nodes, my Wi-Fi stability issues disappeared. However, I soon discovered that the Blue Cave nodes were no longer connecting to my devices with 802.11ac; both my Windows and Apple computers were connecting 802.11n. My advice, if you want to get a less expensive router, STAY AWAY from the Blue Cave. Get the RT-AC68U. Asus is much better at updating that firmware to address security threats, and it is a much better performer (plus it works flawlessly as the primary in an AiMesh environment). The Blue Cave is the only Asus clunker in my experience and am glad that I purchased mine on sale.

There are many demands on bandwidth these days, and to meet that need, the 802.11ac standard has come to market, allowing delivery of data at speeds that can stream 4K video content and reduce the download time of multi gigabyte games to PCs and consoles. This device is designed to convert cable/ethernet high speed data into this wireless connectivity standard and look futuristic at the same time. The blue ring in the center of the device glows softly when in operation, and a small status LED shows different colors and blinking rate to indicate status. It also has a WPN button and 4 hardwire ethernet switching ports in the back. It runs completely quietly (no fan or hum) and cool (is not a space heater despite its looks).
