Serious Upgrade

First off, this computer is an excellent gaming machine. No, it's not a super computer that can run a 4K game at 120 fps. I use it for No Man's Sky, WOW, SC2, SINS, and Beyond Earth. It runs these games beautifully and with excellent performance. I admit that I wanted an i7 but the 6th Gen i5 works great. The GPU (970) works so great I can't even express my exctiment. I did order an 8 gig stick of ram given that there are two slots (1 open). I love the DDR4 ram. The HHD is OK... again I bought a 50 dollar SSD. I personally hate bloat ware but the ASUS software is actually kind of cool. It allows a fine tuned integration with the BIOS and the ability to change the clock speed of the hardware. Additionally you can change the LED color of the front center light. If you're a budget gamer like me, I can assure you that this system will blow you away.

I love this PC! It's very attractive, and also very quiet. So far it's been great! It runs my games pretty smoothly, and it looks and feels like a quality PC. Also the costumer service is pretty great.

Adding RAM or an SSD will VOID your warranty

FYI! I didn't realize this when I bought this pc but if you want to upgrade the RAM or add a SSD, you'll break the seal which will void your entire unit's warranty. I verified this with ASUS directly. Had I known this, I never would've bought it. Granted, I could pay BB to install these items but then the price point becomes too much for what you get.
If the specs are good enough for you, I liked the computer overall. It was quiet, not too obnoxiously bright, and ran great right out of the box.
Lack of upgradeability killed the deal for me.
I returned it and will build my own unit.

I got this computer with the oculus and so far it works great, the initial setup was pain due to having to plug everything into the video card directly. But minor hiccup and it was working great. Boots fast works absolutely great with the oculus and so far very happy with my purchase.

I bought this as a bundle with the Oculus and to use as my new Gaming PC all around and it works flawlessly. I've had it over a month now and had 0 issues. Sucks some people got some unlucky shipments but I would still highly recommend this PC.

Great PC

It's blazing thru the high-end games I've been playing (DOOM and Ryse) and it's visually pleasing which is just an added bonus. With Best Buy's return policy you can't go wrong. At least you can get a taste to see if you give it 5 stars like I did, or 1 star like the some of the others. Amazing gaming PC for the price.

Good PC

Got the Oculus bundle and i have to say overall this is a very Solid PC. Runs oculus rift with no problems. Played Project Cars with it and it ran very well. Definitely not a future-proof pc because it's cheap and just meets the oculus minimum requires. expect to buy a whole new pc when the next version of oculus comes out.

Bad PC

Okay so I purchased this PC because I do not know how to build my own and the specs looked really good. Setup took some time but i got everything to work. I installed two games on it and it plays at 60 fps at high/ultra settings. However every other tasks seem slow. Boot up time is slow as well. The parts on the pc are cheap and bad quality (psu, memory, motherboard) I Returned it before I ran into any issues with the unit. Asus is not a bad company but stay away from their gaming pc's. Look elsewhere.

Terrible Experience

I purchased this device as part of a bundle that came with the Oculus Rift. This is the fastest way to receive the coveted device, and I needed a new computer to make it work. After delaying the initial delivery, I received the items. I'm sure the Oculus is cool but I wouldn't know because the graphical display on this unit was Dead On Arrival. Because it was an online purchase, I would have to return both units and wait for them to ship out another one, furthering my anticipation unnecessarily considering the amount of money spent on the bundle and an additional monitor on top. Very poor experience.

This is the worst computer in existence. I should have spent $1,000 on garbage cans. I literally can't even run itunes even though I can play Counter Strike Global Offensive max settings with 300fps. Other then gaming this computer is absolute garbage and I am so furious I purchased this. Please don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews.

Two new computers both had major problems...

I bought them both from Best Buy, brand new. The first one I had to reset completely from when I turned it on because the installation was acting funky (keyboard and language wasn't showing correctly) and, then once I got it through the computer was being extremely slow and glitchy. It also made a very loud buzzing noise coming from the back of the case...
So I went to exchange it, and it seemed better, until the next day when everything started screwing up. My mouse pointer speed was moving extremely fast and slow at different times, and the computer was slower than my old, basic desktop. And then, the WiFi connectivity randomly cut out after a restart. Not even recognizing any WiFi network around me.
This is really unacceptable. I'm not sure what happened here...

No video output

I'm sure it's great......if it would display video. Unfortunately, it seems the video card was DOA. I tried multiple displays, HDMI, VGA, cables, and nothing. Very frustrating. It seems like these things were thrown together in a rush. Now I have to be inconvenienced with returning it and hope the next one actually works.

I ordered the bundle, and just arrived. Something is wrong with Internet (wireless) card. The download speed is .89 mb,compare to 55 mb on my laptop setting next to it. Frustrating, I can't even download the rift software.
