I wanted a mid to low level computer with room to upgrade at a decent price and that is what this is/

My new Asus - Essentio Desktop - AMD A10-Series - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive is an excellent computer for nearly all-around use...word processing, gaming, storage....this desktop does it all. Very easy set-up and easily accessible ports.

I purchased this computer for personal & business. I work from home and needed adequate memory as well as speed. Not a fan of Windows 8, but you can easily operate as "desktop" formatting; which I use most. Great performance so far! And the price was very reasonable! I don't use for any kind of gaming, but I upload photos/videos.

I am very satisfied with the Asus Essentio desktop. This computer is almost silent compared to the ones I use at work.

I did a great deal of research and price comparison, and bought this model in the store. It's ready to log in to Windows 8.1 almost instantly after pressing the power button, and it does everything very quickly. Minimal bloatware, easy setup, plenty of room for expansion. I did upgrade the memory and add a solid-state hybrid drive, but I don't expect those items to be necessary until years down the road.

This is the 2nd ASUS machine I have had and am please with both. The Geek Squad was especially helpful in transferring my existing data on to the new machine.

This computer starts up in a fraction of the time my previous machine did. Performs tasks faster, and plays games with no delays. It was on sale for less than other machines with less speed, memory, and power. Windows 8 takes a little getting used to, but is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it.

Bought this computer after reading reviews and checking out Consumer Reports. Very easy to set up quickly. The biggest drawback I have found is the black keys on the black keyboard are very hard to see for a hunt and peck typist like myself. Really appreciate how quickly it starts up compared to my old HP.

When my 5yr old desk top was deemed to be a lost cause. I asked the Geek Squad techie to suggest a new CPU. The ASUS was his choice for my price point. It has been the right choice for me in my home-based business. It is quiet, quick, and of high quality. Just wish the USB ports were located closer to the bottom of the tower front and that there 2 more of them.

Computer was for my son, it was perfect for him. He used it to play some on line games and some graphic intense gamed and it worked great.

The system is fast, pretty quiet. Don't like having to learn how to navigate the system tho.

I needed a upgrade as my professional and personal is changing. This product fit my needs. It is fast and reliable, has the memory I need and not to steep a learning curve. The transition from my old computer was smooth.

Have owned my ASUS almost a month. So far, no problems. Very fast. Only problems are with Windows 8.1 new feaatures

I play a lot of games on my computer and so far I have had no problems with it overheating. There have been 2 small issues that were solved by a restart. One time it randomly shut itself down for no reason that I could figure out. Another time, I left it on for a few hours and the fan sped waaaaay up and I couldn't do anything on the computer INCLUDING shutting it down by holding the power button. I ended up having to unplug it but it started up fine after that and nothing got messed up.
