good laptop, run multiple software, videos smoothly

Batterie seems fine, I like the light behind keys makes it easier to see. Its great for the older generation. And it isn't heavy, like most laptops. I went thru 4 10 inch kindle fires in less than 2 years. Their batteries were awful. So we thought a laptop would be better. And we got such a great deal on this one, I mean 8gb memory and 512GB. Awesome. I am very happy with this laptop!!

Bought this as a gift to my brother and he has expressed that he really loves the laptop. Works really well that everything moves fast, excellent display, and is able to handle multiple tasks at the same time as he also uses this for work. Even is able to handle some gaming on Steam. Overall very impressed with the quality and overall value as it was also on sale. Don't pass this one up.

I was in the market for a decent laptop for school and work; I needed a computer that could maximize compatibility with software that goes beyond just Microsoft Office. This one is the best bang-for-your-buck. The laptop is very plasticky...but it doesn't feel so; that is, it doesn't have that cheap plastic "feel" that begins creaking. For me, I feel this laptop is appropriate for my needs. However, some may be deterred from the 8th-Gen processor; 10th is out as of this writing. I did knock it down from ease of use because, you know, WINDOWS 10. Small note: I could not find a store model to see it in person at my three local Best Buy's. Hands down though, for a sub-1000 laptop, this one is GOOD. Also...it comes with 512 GB storage...my goal was only 256, but I'm not complaining.

Buy this computer! It’s the best! Such a great deal for the quality as well. You feel like a million bucks just opening it. I’ve tested out hp, dell, spent twice the money on a MacBook Air. Returned it or gave them all away. Finally got this computer and it works perfectly! I think it’s because the media card doesn’t use up your cpu, so it doesn’t use an integrated media card, it separate. Don’t quote me on that, but I think that’s why it’s so fast. My brand new i7 hp is slower than this one. The only downside, but maybe not to you, is it isn’t touchscreen.

This laptop is a great value for the features it offers: 512GB SSD, full HD display, Nvidia graphics (no screamer by any stretch, but better than the default), relatively lightweight, etc. One thing to note is that it uses onboard graphics too and you should make the nvidia the default graphics driver using the nvidia application. I couldn’t find a way to disable the onboard graphics either via windows or BIOS, which I would rather do. One important glitch that was fixed by support is we noticed green and grey bars whenever we used video conferencing on this machine. The Asus forums identified this as a BIOS issue, but only the current BIOS 303 was available on the Asus support site. However, I posted to the Asus moderator on the forum and he sent me BIOS 307 for this laptop which fixed the issue. Not sure why it wasn’t on the web site. Updating the BIOS is a bit of a chore - copy to USB, boot into BIOS, load the new BIOS and reboot. Otherwise, so far so good.

I purchased this laptop for my daughter’s switch to online school due to COVID-19. The laptop is extremely quick booting and has great performance/specs for the price point. I especially like that it has a true SSD rather than MMC, as some other laptops utilize. The NVIDIA graphics card also takes some burden off the CPU, increasing performance. Build quality is solid as well. I would definitely recommend.

I purchased a hp laptop with better specs for 1k and returned it because I wasn't a fan if the keyboard and battery life. I purchased this without seeing it first and am very satisfied with this laptop! Love the keyboard, feels small for a 15.6in, great battery life and upgradable memory! I just put in a 32gb stick for a total of 36gb and its really fast. Would recommend to anyone.

I got exactly what I was looking for: A fast laptop at a good price for everyday use that also allows me to play games because it has a graphics card. Great display, lightweight, and I love the ASUS quality for the price.

Exactly what I was looking for. Super fast and thin. Plenty of space with the 500 gig ssd drive. The I5 generation 10(?) processor is super fast. ASUS makes a great computer. Great buy. Would buy it again.

Seems to be an excellent computer. It does all the things i need done very well and very fast - especially compared to my old computer that it replaced. It's also very good looking, which pleases the eye!

I don’t know much about computers. So I had a family member find one for me. I was looking for a laptop for schoolwork, and gaming for my son. We love it! It’s a great computer for the price!!

I was a bit nervous about buying an Asus laptop, I’ve always have had HP or Dell, but I’m very happy to have this Asus! It’s very fast and works great. The backlit keyboard is a very nice plus!

Great multitasking laptop. Smooth work you can even play some games.

Bought this for my daughter's online schooling. It is a terrific little machine that really zooms. Her only complaint is the screen size. Everything works flawlessly though, and my wife was jealous of the backlit keyboard. We haven't tried any games on it for her other than playing Prodigy with her friends.

I've been extremely impressed with the performance of this laptop. It's lightweight, has a great keyboard and boots up incredibly fast for a mid range laptop. Perfect for school, light work, and light gaming. I picked this one up on sale for 600, which was a steal!

This laptop runs smooth and fast. The fan system does a great job keeping the computer from overheating. Then NVIDIA graphics card makes a huge difference for gaming and watching videos. Overall it's a great laptop for any student.

Comfortable to use, lightweight, has a backlit keyboard.

So far this laptop performs well, as i had hoped, and has all the features as were listed. The price was very good for what i received in my opinion .

I like the style, light weight and backlit keyboard. That was one of the reasons I went with this model. What I don't like is the too short battery life. It seems I just get started on what I want to do and the low battery shows up. Other than that I like it.
