This Asus replaced my Nexus and proved to be even better. The response is excellent and the picture quality is also excellent. The included Asus apps are a very nice addition including the browser that I really like. Quality tablet that I plan on enjoying for a long time.

It is a good simple tablet. I'm an iOS guy and this is my third Android device. The standard load is good. The battery life is exceptional. The multitasking is good unless you are downloading 30 or more files at the same time. Then it gets sluggish and needs a reboot.

    Asus ME572 ~~ Best 7 inch Tablet I Found

I would have liked a slightly smaller tablet so it would be more pocketable, but the Asus ME572 is the best I could find in an acceptable size. Besides, the price was very attractive for a tablet with best in class screen resolution and the ability to easily add 64GB of additional memory. I'm still learning its capabilities, but it seems to have all the needed apps to serve as a wonderful personal digital assistant that will be useful for many years.

Just getting used to it. We like the high definition screen. The unit is designed for what we want it for. We are older people and are not as computer knowledgeable as the younger generation. We have gotten a lot of assistance from our kids and Grandsons.

It just plain works great. Very clear video streaming (but also have excellent router which may be factor). Bought w/ intent of eBook reader, which it does excellent. Audio is only average, but okay since not primary task. Battery life good. Wish internal memory greater, but it does take microSD so can forgive. Wish I'd bought second to store until this one expires. Dislike excessive preinstalled software.

I had dropped and cracked the screen of my Nexus 7, and wanted a replacement tablet. I didn't want to spend the major dollars on the Nexus 9, nor did I want the screen that large. This Asus is perfect. all I need!

I used to have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, but then traded it in for this. This tablet is cheaper, lighter, thinner, faster and has more storage than my Samsung tablet had. The only downside I've seen so far is that it's harder to find accessories, but it certainly isn't impossible. That aside, this is a fantastic tablet.

For this being my first tab I think I made a great choice. It runs nicely, sound is great and so is the picture. My only thing is when switching from portrait to landscape it takes a few seconds to recognize what it needs to do.

Light, responsive, and comfortable to hold. Not impressed with the default browser so I use firefox. Expandable memory was a big selling point so I can add lots of music and video. Well worth the price!

A Very Good Bang For The Buck 7" Tablet

    Posted .

I just bought this Asus Memo ME572C tablet less than a week ago. This is the fourth tablet I am on. The very first tablet I purchased was the 7” Acer Iconia A100 tablet and it eventually broke. The other 2 tablets were a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch (sold it because it was slow) and a 10” Lenovo Ideatab S6000 (still have) Here are the Pros and Cons of the Asus Memo tablet I have found after using it for a few days and how it compares to my other tablets. Pros *$150 sale price at Best Buy is a very good bang for the buck 7” tablet. *Very good specs for a 7" tablet that offers Quad core Atom Z3560 clocked at 1.83ghz cpu with 2GB DDR3 ram and 16GB of internal storage. *Bright IPS display with good contrast and viewing angles. Very little if any brightness loss when the tablet is tilted. My Acer Iconia A100 tablet had a TN (twisted nematic) display which suffered from poor viewing angles. *Display has 1920 x 1200 resolution. Most 7" tablets have either 1024 x 600 or 1280 x 800 resolution with only 1GB of Ram *Youtube app allows selecting 1080P video quality due to the Asus Memo 1920 x 1200 resolution. *Very good color accuracy on the display. Whites look white and no yellowish/blueish tint. *Each speaker is placed separately on each side to give a stereophonic sound. My old Acer Iconia A100 and Tab 2 tablet has both speakers located on one side. Lenovo 10” tablet has stereo speakers but, they’re located on the back. *Thin and light compared to my old Acer Iconia A100 which is .52" thick and 470grams in weight. The Asus Memo is only .3" thick and 269grams in weight. My Lenovo Ideatab is heavy weighing in at 560grams. *Very good battery life. Compared to my old 7" Tab 2, it has just as good (if not better) battery life and definitely a lot better battery life than the older Acer Aspire A100 that only lasted for 4-5 hours. *Micro sd slot with support for Micro SDXC cards. I popped in my Sandisk 64GB Micro SDXC card and it recognized it. Cons *An issue with the Wifi connection that happened once (so far). It disconnected and turning on/off Wifi on the tablet didn't fix the problem. A reboot of the tablet resolved the issue *Slight backlight bleeding on one edge near the front facing camera. Nothing bad but, you'll notice it on a completely black screen. Some models might be a little more noticeable than others. *Hole in the headphone jack was not made so well. The headphone jack doesn't insert that easily and smoothly. You'll need to be careful and not force it. *Speakers are located on the sides than in the front. Your hands will have a tendency to block the speaker if you hold the edges in landscape. *The length of the tablet (7.9 inches) is longer than your average 7" tablet. It will be a tighter fit in some 7" tablet pouches. Its rectangular corners makes it harder to zip in a 7” pouch. *No led flash and no HDMI port. My old Acer tablet has an led flash and HDMI port. *No cover on the Micro SD slot to keep the dust/dirt out. After using this Asus Memo ME572C tablet for several days, I am overall happy with it. What I like most about it is the 1920 x 1200 IPS display. It makes watching full HD videos and browsing websites more enjoyable. Despite the cons I listed down, it’s nothing major where it detracts from it being a very good tablet. It’s not perfect in every area but, there isn’t much 7” tablets that has comparable specs/features to this Asus Memo 7” tablet

This tablet is much like an upgraded version of my Nexus 7, 2nd generation tablet. Excellent look, operation and feel. And for me, the size is perfect--not too big and not too small.
