I got this laptop hoping that it would be fast as it is very slow I liked the appearance but it was to slow for me I would have tabs open and out of no where would freeze on me. Returned it without hassle and got a different laptop.

I didn't like this tablet because it is a windows tablet. It's my fault for not looking or reading the description. I did like the fact that it was small enough for me to carry daily.

This laptop is slower than I expected and it also lags. Google Chrome and Citrix are the only things I installed in the laptop yet it's running really slow. Using Citrix in this laptop is a real disappointment.

I got it because it looks nice, but found out that it is not reliable at all. It keeps locking up, so we have to keep reseting the computer.

Great once you swap HDD for SSD

Purchased open box-excellent at an incredible value. The default 1TB HDD is horrifically slow so I used the savings to purchase an SSD. The system comes with a total of 6GB of DDR4 RAM (4GB of on board + 2GB SODIMM). I swapped out the 2GB memory for a single 16GB DDR4 SODIMM for a max of 20GB of Ram. As for the cons, the trackpad can be a bit finicky at times, but it is not a deal breaker. Additionally, the power button placement is really annoying. I kept accidentally hitting the button causing the laptop to go to sleep. However, this problem can be easily resolved by going into the power management settings of Windows 10 and changing the setting of the power button to "do nothing".

So, beatiful, yes. Ligh, yes. Great price, yes. Touchscreen, yes. Backlit keyboard, Yes. 2 in 1, Yes. (All the main reasons, and what I was looking for, and at the end the reason for me to buy this garbage). Then at day 2 my dissapointment started. Endless updates of Windows10. And when I say endless, it's the fact that for more than a week the Laptop keep requesting updates that took forever and constants restarts. After all this, I thought that maybe that ridiculously slow system will start to work properly. I was wrong. It's been 9 months since I bought this laptop. I did not install any single thing to it. I use it for web browsing, youtube, Etc. Very basic thing. The laptop is slow, freeze, takes like 4 or 5 minutes to just start. The fingerprint dectector is very tricky. I have a Toshiba Satellite since 2012, with the case broken, that does not have antivirus, have more that 800Gb of pics and vids and general garbage, that is faster than this brand new Asus. I cannot understand how an Intel I5 and 6gb of ram performs this bad. This is by far the worst laptop that I have ever bought. So, maybe you would ask, why waiting 8 months to do a review of it? well I'm writing this from my other laptop because the asus just stopped working while watching a vid on youtube... and I'd just have reached my limit with it. So, stay away and spend that money on a different one.

Oh Asus what did you do

The Bad:
Asus must have searched the world to find the slowest hard drive possible, its truly awful, if you buy this laptop do yourself a favor and switch out the HDD for and SSD its a really simple procedure.
The OK:
Trackpad had minor issues with it suddenly going to a different spot on the screen, its better if you change the trackpad settings in devices mouse and touchpad to scroll 25 and cursor speed to 4.
Even after an SSD install the machine was much quicker, but if I opened "My Computer" it would still take a minute or so for it to open and display all the icons there, I did a clean install of Windows 10 and this fixed all the slow issues, the machine is superfast now, the only issue after that was the keyboard back light would not work, to fix this go to ASUS website and download the ATK package and install it.
The Good:
Backlit keyboard key board light can be adjusted, super quite, screen in crisp and clear, keyboard is responsive and light to type, Kaby Lake CPU 6gb ram.
Overall with the changes I made I now love this laptop.
Asus I hope you read these reviews, you are supposed to be a premium brand manufacturer, your customers should be able to have a useable product out of the box and not have to tinker with it to get it to a useable product.
I would have gladly paid another $20 to have this laptop come with a 120 to 240GB SSD.

Good Computer!

I like this computer, Speakers are loud, touchscreen, Clear display, Folds in a full 360 degree and and it has a fingerprint scanner. I upgraded the RAM to 12 GB total. There are 4GB embedded onto the motherboard and only one slot for user upgrade so I removed the 2GB stick and added an 8GB SODIMM. Also upgraded the HDD to an SDD. Both are pretty easy to do. Only downside I had with this computer is the power button being on the side, sometimes I hit hi by accident when moving the computer.. but you learn how to hold the computer to avoid it. Not a deal breaker. People did mention about the trackpad. I had some sensitivity issues with it but i was fix after I upgraded the driver to 11.0.0.16. To do so, visit Microsoft Update Catalog (http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=HID ), download the .cab file for ASUS - HIDClass - 4/21/2017 12:00:00 AM - 11.0.0.16 and extract the files to your desktop. Go to Device Manager and under Human Interface Device, update the Asus precision Touchpad driver with the extracted 11.0.0.16 files

Great 2 in 1 for the price

This is a great 2 in 1 laptop. I planned on upgrading the 1TB drive and memory before I got this. I put in a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB drive and maxed out the memory at 12GB. There is 4GB of memory soldered on the motherboard and comes with a 2GB stick. After using this device for 2 days, the speed with the SSD and additional memory make this comparable to some ultra-books. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and the fact that it has the 7th Gen Intel chip coupled with DDR4 and the 620 Graphics chip make this a great 2 in 1 to have. The keyboard is smooth and I am able to type without any difficulties. The backlit keyboard is a great addition as well.
