Asus - Q524UQ 2-in-1 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a lot of time researching 2 in 1 notebooks. Wanted a touch screen and a I7, 6th gen, with at least 8 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. This computer had more that I was looking for. But after hands on comparing many machines this one exceed my specs. The computer was on sale and was the same price as many lesser machine. It even came with an external speaker. Screen is brighter then others and with 4GB of RAM for the Graphics Card action is smooth and clear.

Great Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been impressed with this laptop since purchasing it. I was not wanting anything fancy but the guy who helped us pick this one also signed us up for a few excellent services that I've been really impressed with as well. The laptop is quick and has a lot of memory. I've been able to run statistical regressions and data sets with no issues at all so I would definitely say this is a win. Would recommend!

Just what I needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I settled on this computer after I did a lot of research. I knew I wanted something top tier but not too overpowered. This PC fit the bill. I am not a big PC gamer but this computer runs everything just fine. I do wish It had a more state of the art graphics card (it has a Geforce 940mx) but I am just being picky. I have been able to run all games beautifully rendered. Everything else is completely satisfactory to me needs processing wise. Of course that is something you should always ask yourself before a purchase such as this. What are your needs? For me this computer rounds all my needs with precision and speed. Just the right size and weight, plus its touch screen and it looks nice too. The only downfall I have had with this PC is the battery life. It's not horrible but I find that I can get roughly three to four hours of juice from it before I have to worry about plugging it in. I would have to say that it could be a lot better, especially when compared to the battery life of a new Mac.Still, even with the battery life I have enjoyed it and consider it a good buy, especially when you consider that its price has gone down since I purchased it.

Asus - Q524UQ 2-in-1 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As my previous laptop was an ASUS, I am very familiar with ASUS laptops, and was specifically looking for a new laptop by ASUS. The Q524UQ is an excellent laptop combining the most important features with a moderate price. With 12Gb of memory, 2Gb dedicated video memory (Nvidia graphics), a 2Tbhard drive and wireless AC networking, this laptop packs a big punch. It is also a 2-in-1, and can be converted to a tablet if needed. All that being said, there are definite improvements that can be made. First, memory and hard drive are NOT readily accessible for upgrade or replacement unlike earlier ASUS laptops. A major shortcoming for ANY laptop. Second, the har drive--although very large in size--in only 5400 RPM and not a more efficient and faster 7200 RPM hard drive. Finally, there is no way to install a solid state drive--either as a boot drive or as a replacement drive. The big brother to this laptop has 16Gb of memory and a 512Gb solid state drive (in addition to the 2Tb drive). HOWEVER, that model is over $400 more for very MINOR improvements that can be done by an individual for less than$200--provided the memory and hard drives were accessible. In summary, despite some minor shortcomings, the ASUS Q524UQ is a GREAT laptop for the price, and is highly recommended to ALL looking for a new laptop without breaking the bank...

A perfectly balanced laptop for a great price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With an m.2 SSD drive, this laptop does everything and does it all well. It's not a gaming laptop, but acquits itself very well, playing Skyrim on max settings perfectly and Fallout 4 on high settings. For business, it's everything I could ask for. The huge, albeit slow, 2TB HD gives me more storage space for work related tasks than I know what to do with. The touchscreen, something I wasn't looking for necessarily, but I've ended up using it as it makes it easier for me to discuss balances and account issues with clients who can interact with me and the computer. The TouchPad is a bit unresponsive at times and the hard drive is very slow, but I've solved both issues by adding the SSD drive and using a wireless mouse. I couldn't be happier with this computer.

Great laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was wanting a laptop to do a photo editing class and this laptop does that and so much more. It has tons of memory which I need, that touch screen is great(but as a lifetime desktop user it takes getting use to), I'm sure there are more in depth reviews out there, but my take is that its easy to use, runs great, and I couldnt be happier

Great Laptop Gaming or otherwise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop packs a punch with 12 gigs of ram add a touchscreen and a dedicated gpu to the mix and you got a pretty well priced midrange gaming laptop, that will handle all the necessities such as word and all that at amazing speeds while also being able to run modern games like battlefield 1, GTA all and all a good laptop

Slow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seemed to have all the right stuff for speed, i7, 12gb ram, 2tb hard drive, Windows 10 64bit, thunderbolt port. Boot time is very slow, I'll be upgrading to an SSD soon. Seems like the hard drive is a major bottleneck. It's my first go round with Win10 so maybe Win10 plus ASUS bloatware, slows it down. I'll be looking for ways to speed this thing up, first stop is SSD, remove things from startup that I don't need. This thing has all the specs to fly, yet it can't get off the ground. Maybe it's the weight, this thing is a bit heavy as a tablet while in tablet mode. On/Off button is oddly placed. For now, I don't recommend, I'll update this review if possible after I figure out why so slow...

Specs suggest it should be faster than it is
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs great, haven't found any real issues. Boot up completion takes a bit longer than I would prefer. You get to the windows desktop as quick as a mechanical drive can, but seems to lag a bit doing housekeeping for a minute or two after that. Touchpad a little sensitive with factor defaults, not an big deal. Touch screen works well, but finger prints are very noticeable. I have other touch screen devices that show much less. Screen size is nice, but a definite trade off for weight. This thing is a bit on the heavy side, the size is nice, but size/weight makes tablet mode a bit awkward. All in all, like the machine, it does for me what I need it to be.

Great performance. Good feature set for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great high end i7 notebook for the price. 12GB memory is probably the minimum for a performance level machine. This laptop fits the bill for most users that don't need a high end gaming system.

Hands down, best bang for your buck.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all I have tried HP 2 in 1 laptops and apple laptops. This is the best Laptop 2 in 1 for your money. You will be hard pressed to run out of storage. This thing is fast and responsive. Look no further. Buy it. You won't be disappointed. If you're going to college, you can get $150 off as well.

Love my laptop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a computer novice. Having said that what I love is Edge for learning whatever your question. Put your question in the search box and Edge comes up with instructions for everything. Love, love, love the graphics. Love the sound tower that comes with laptop. Amazing sound. Better than traditional speakers. Just an all round great laptop for the money. Love the touch and 2 in 1 feature. It's everything you could want in a computer and more. You get a great bang for the buck with this baby. Didn't give 5 stars because it's not perfect and sometimes it hick ups but it's usually a quick fix.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love this laptop. We use Apple products, but still like to have a windows computer. This laptop is outstanding, and was easy to learn even though we hadn’t had a new windows product for quite a while. We’ve had excellent support from the Geek squad when we had questions.

Very Solid Machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very solid built laptop. I do a lot of “on-the-go” work so appreciate the aluminum body. I have owned this for about a month for hours at time and have had no issues. Lots of memory and decent graphics card allow for smooth use of the Adobe suite. This is great for video editing and photoshop. The keyboard feels great went in use and I love the light up keyboard. The touch-screen works nice. Overall, very happy with this purchase and appreciate the Best Buy staff spending the time to answer questions.

Love my laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has really enhanced my online experience, while still being intuitive and easy to use. The graphics are great for video streaming and while I have yet to use it for gaming, I'm sure it will excel there as well. The tips given by the computer for useful hints such as calendar, app storage, and media storage and playback have made the transition from Mac to PC painless and simple. All in all I love my notebook.

A lot to love
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good laptop. Runs very cool. Very stylish aluminum casing. Love the feel & view of the back-lit keyboard as well its its functionality. SATA drive is slow 5400 RPM, but priced accordingly. Opening / Accessing internal hard drive, memory AND battery eaves a bit to be desired - but also typical for a 2 in 1 unit. Just wish it had SSD and/or dual drive/hybrid configuration. The ASUS flip / 2 in 1 functionality is also not as well designed as some others I have seen But functional. Overall: Great compromise / value for the $ spent.

Powerful and versatile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my daughter starting high school. She loves the flip feature and the touch screen because it responds like her iPhone. It also downloads apps so it truly is like a really big and much more powerful iPhone/iPad that can run all programs. The graphics are very good which was expected with a dedicated card. The speakers are good and it comes with a separate sub-woofer to add depth. the Bluetooth is fast and connects easily. We have not had any issues with this computer and I would recommend to anyone.

Very Nice Desktop Replacement Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this computer to replace a HP entertainment rig that was showing it's age. It has a very nice design, especially the fully fold flat feature that allows it to be used as a tablet. It is thin, and relatively light for its size. It has plenty of video and processor power for games and other high load programs. The only real letdowns area very long boot, and program load times. This problem was completely eliminated by upgrading the hard drive to a solid state drive, now it's screaming fast.
