Powerful, Portable and Perfect Mini Gaming Machine

I’m really impressed with this little ROG 13.4" laptop. Even though it’s compact, it’s got more than enough power for everyday gaming and productivity. The Ryzen 9 processor and RTX 3050 Ti run most games smoothly on medium to high settings, and the system stays fairly cool for its size. The touchscreen is a nice bonus — smooth, responsive, and great for casual use or creative work. The build quality feels premium, and it’s super lightweight, making it easy to carry around for school, work, or travel. The 1TB SSD is fast, and the boot-up times are instant. Battery life is decent for a gaming laptop, but don’t expect marathon sessions away from the charger — the power draw is noticeable when gaming. Still, that’s expected with hardware like this. Overall, if you want a portable gaming machine that doesn’t compromise on performance or design, this ROG model is an excellent choice. It hits the sweet spot between power, portability, and value.

I love that it's small and lightweight, and the "tenting" it does makes it a great second display. But I wouldn't get it again - it has lots of quirks I haven't dealt with from other laptops, cheaper and more expensive. I dropped it off at Best Buy today after the screen crapped out - it's entirely covered with vertical lines. Nothing happened to it, it worked in the morning and was wonky when I got home. It'll charge to 100% (or 85 if you do battery saver) and gradually drop the charge level. Like it'll be 85, 67, 59... down to single digits. It's not charging though, it hits random levels then stops. It's well documented on Reddit, if I unplug the charger from the wall, wait, then plug in again, it'll get back to 85 but I have to do this multiple times a week. So it's good, but for ~$1000, you can get something similar without the quirks this guy has.

This is a very powerful thin laptop that has excellent cooling considering it also has a dedicated GPU. It does get a little loud when doing heavy workloads but when taking it light the laptop is usually passively cooled because of the great thermal solution with a vapor chamber. I would say if your focus is on mostly gaming this is not the best device for that. If you need something that can get work done with a good keyboard and a high refresh rate screen with a little photo editing, video editing, or gaming on the side this is a great niche device.

I bought it on sale for almost half the original price but was very disappointed. The laptop would not turn on at all. Even after charging it for a while and trying over and over. After holding the power button for a good minute or two nothing happened. I thought it was dead on arrival, so I thought I had to box it back up and return it. Then all of a sudden it turned itself on! After all the Asus and windows updates and setups were done. The next day the wifi card was completely dysfunctional. The hardware had failed, and I could not go online. The next day I powered it back on and without no changes being made the wifi card started working again. I continued with AMD driver updates but now the drivers would not install at all. I tried several times and the AMD Adrenaline auto detect software would keep disappearing from the installed apps! I still didn't give up and tried reinstalling Windows 11 two times, nothing changed. When running 3D Mark benchmark app the PC would just crash and restart. That's when I had enough and had to box it back up to return. If the device wasn't so faulty and also not get so HOT, then it would have been a very powerful (for its size) and versatile laptop. I would not recommend getting this model. If you want this type of laptop then get the latest 2023 model with 32 GB RAM.

My first upgrade in a few years. Small but mighty is the perfect phrase to describe this laptop. The 3050ti is lower wattage than I would've liked but still packs a bunch and can run games respectably at low-medium settings at 1080p fairly well. Perfect for on the go, and if you buy the xg mobile, it becomes an absolute beast. I loved this thing everything from its impressive battery life, nice tactile keyboard, to the bright vivid screen. Only downside to this laptop was how small the trackpad is, but the 2023 variant of this model should solve that

The ASUS ROG 13.4" Touchscreen Gaming Laptop with AMD Ryzen 9, 16GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti V4G Graphics, and 1TB SSD in Off Black is a powerful and versatile gaming laptop. The touchscreen adds a unique dimension to gameplay and productivity tasks. The AMD Ryzen 9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card deliver smooth performance and impressive graphics. The 1TB SSD provides ample storage for games and multimedia content. However, the laptop's battery life could be better, especially during intense gaming sessions. Additionally, the laptop's price may be a bit high for some budget-conscious gamers.

Had this about a month, and so far so good. I am not a gamer, just using as an ultraportable laptop for around the house and limited travel. Speed is fantastic. I haven’t pushed the battery life but it appears it would get just over 3.5 hours at full brightness with the video card turned off. I know I could get longer with the brightness turned down, but that is a choice I made. I will be testing this out with Lightroom and Photoshop in the near future, but I am not worried about the ability of the laptop to handle it.

I bought this as a small computer I could travel with and occasionally play newer games on. Didn't disappoint. It gets hot with games, so I keep a cooling device under it. Whisper quiet when web browsing or using for work (emails, non video editing). Has gotten better with new drivers from a stability standpoint. I'd buy it again.

Before you start reading. I need to mention this computer is NOT for serious gaming - get a G15 instead. This is really a great MacBook replacement for anyone who want to have Mac-like device but not into the Mac workflow. Flow x13 is amazingly quiet in iGPU mode and gives reasonable performance in eGPU mode. BUT. WITH A LOT OF NOISE. This means that the best use case is work on daytime and game in home with XG mobile - but it is just not worth to pay even more than the laptop itself. With the MUX switch it performs even better than last gen RTX 3060 on G14. Still, if you have time. G15 2022 will be a way better deal if you don’t need the super thin build of this machine. Overall, I love this, but I seriously doubt if this is what everyone looking for.

Played Valorant, Fortnite, LoL, and Tarkov on highest settings while I was traveling, and it didnt miss a beat. Had one issue with it not turning on when I first got it, but after unplugging the charger it powered on and hasn't had an issue since. Other than that I'd highly recommend if playing on gaming on the go!

I should start off with the disclaimer that I would not recommend this item for the retail price. I was fortunate to get mine during a sale and that made this thing more than worth it. If you are looking for this specific laptop, keep an eye out for best buy and their awesome discounts, especially for open box items. That out of the way, I can't stop using this thing. I tried the iPad Pro 12.9" and can't stand Apple's locked down and restricted OS. Windows isn't much better but I can change the things I want with my laptop. The build is solid, keyboard feels amazing to use, awesome battery life with battery saver, pen support isn't the best but usable. I love this device, hands down my favorite laptop thus far amd I tried tons. The display is not OLED but so good that it almost has an OLED feel to it. The IO is great with the HDMI and USB-A. I can't say enough about it. I love it.

I have a mixed relationship with this convertible laptop. Some aspects appeal to me, but others make me lean towards a 15 or 17-inch model next time. It requires constant charging and if not connect can't go into turbo speed, so it's not very portable especially being it demands a cooling base to prevent overheating. Limited USB options, including just one regular port and 2 usb-c (one being the power adapter port) were a downside. The external GPU, at $1500, seemed impractical. Hoping for a discounted unit, I've yet to find one. Despite registering promptly with Asus, warranty issues arose, especially with keyboard keys intermittently sticking but not physically just would keep typing the same key or be laggy having you miss the begining of the first word when you begin to type on anything – a problem shared by other X13 owners. My model features an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS, RTX 3050 Ti, and non-removable 16GB RAM, limiting upgrade possibilities. With all that said I did get it for a good deal and so I can't complain plus it will play anything I have and has been a decent laptop.

Super good compact laptop that has a high end graphic card and a 16Gb RAM that makes heavy applications like Unity, Unreal and gaming smooth and seamless. The 1TB SSD storage is a great addition that suits my medium level video editing needs. The only downside is the speakers that are underneath the laptop which makes it less loud but that still works for me since I use bluetooth speakers to enjoy watching videos. Overall, it is a great deal.

I actaully really like the computer. The size and weight of the size is absolutely bonkers for the hardware thats in it. The device is really almost perfect. The touch screen is responsive. Good keyboard. And the 360 hinge makes it versatile. However, my biggest gripe is the display. Normal use it looks grear and is bright ans vibrant with great color accuracy. Its just the Ghosting and response time of the monitor are horrid. That’s why i cant give it 5 stars
