Solid Laptop for it's worth

Laptop had for a week is obviously good spec wise. Can be very loud and sound like a commercial airline taking off in turbo mode and under heavy load. Heat distribution is a bit weird as it can travel from the top part of the laptop's exhaust to the keyboard making it a bit uncomfortable. Screen is great IPS 120 Hz is eye candy, touchscreen makes drawing and browsing nice in tablet mode as well. Gaming is gaming, you can run anything but its gonna be loud and hot. Very solid laptop. Battery life not in windows mode is expected to be short. SSD is a bonus 1 TB will get you through anything and its fast ofc.2

Decent gaming laptop - gets a bit hot if you don't push the screen all the way back.
The AMD CPU is pretty solid, though the newest model now adds a MUX switch, better multi-core performance and battery. If you're looking at this in 2022, pick up the model with the Ryzen 6000 series.
One big annoyance for me that caused me to return it is that even though it is a 100w USB C charger, it does not accept 3rd party chargers with the same specification. So you'll be stuck using the original charger and scouring eBay for a replacement (Asus doesn't sell them).

This laptop is very powerful, I'm very pleased with it's performance, it has been able to handle games very well for a laptop. I also really like the touchscreen capability. The only thing I don't like is the lack of ports. In order to accommodate the GPU port on the left side, they've sacrificed more universally useful ports. This laptop only has 1 USB-C, 1 USB-A, 1 HDMI, a headphone/mic jack, and the external GPU port. If you don't have or want to attach an external GPU, the lack of ports is a total pain.

You're really buying a quality piece with this laptop. Outer body is all metal which feels super solid when it's in 2-in-1 mode. Light weight but has a nice heft still. I love the 13.4'' form factor. I thought the size would both me but its such a convenient size. Same goes to the power supplies. I've had a wide range of gaming laptops but this one is the smallest yet. Heat and noise will be an issue on high end games and you'll want a wedge or stand in that situation as two of the fans are on the bottom. That's typical of all slim designs regardless of what you buy. Price was high but typical of anything running an RTX 30 card. I'm very happy with my purchase and recommend the buy.

Gaming Ultrabook? Yes!

This laptop has the build quality and size of premium ultrabooks. I own and use a XPS 13, IdeaPad 730s, and Thinkpad X13 and the ROG Flow matches them in portability. It destroys them in performance. I also love the understated look.
If you are looking for a well built laptop that excels at portability and is also powerful enough to run heavy workloads and is also capable of light gaming on the go look no further.
I'm looking forward to when the XG Mobile is available. Hopefully the 3070 version becomes available in the US as it should be a better value. If priced at the rumored $700-$800 getting a dock and full powered mobile 3070 would complement the ROG Flow nicely.

THIS MACHINE IS A BEAST!

I was looking to replace my old surface book with a new laptop for business purposes. The most important factor for me is speed. On my old laptop loading websites i.e. auction houses, opensea, logging into accounts, etc. took way too long and would impact my productivity.
When I went to the store, I was not thinking about a "gaming" laptop, but after reviewing the specs of the various options, this one stood out, so I decided to give it a try.
This machine is a beast and lives up to its specs. The upgrade to Windows 11 was smooth and didn't impact performance. Web browsing has never been faster for me.
The startup time is fast, using new features i.e. link my phone to windows not only convenient, but fast!
The design is sleek and professional. The machine is lightweight easy to carry and travel with. The mouse trackpad works much better than the past I have used. The keyboard fits well with my fingers.
It does not come with a SD card reader, but I purchased a USB-C hub and have very fast connectivity for transferring all of my photos.
If I had one feature I would have wanted, I would have liked a 4k type display. It has a WUXGA screen which reminds me of a full HD monitor. It is sharp display and does not bother me, but I would have paid more for a 4k display.
I have not tried gaming with this machine, so I cannot judge the gaming performance.
For the price, this machine is a beast that far exceeds my expectations. I bought my last laptop in 2016, and I can feel a major difference in the technology and couldn't be more satisfied. Highly recommended.
Update the machine went on sale to $1,250 2 weeks after my purchase. I contacted Best Buy from the chat, and they gave me the price match instantly on the chat. I did not have to call or go into the store. It was a no brainer buy at the original price, but at the sale price really don't hesitate.

Pros
1) Speedy and Powerful CPU
2) 16:10 and 120hz
3) 2 in 1 laptop
4) USB C charge
5) Good Gaming Performance
6) 1.35kg
7) Free 1 Month Game Pass
8) Windows 11 Pro
9) The screen is bright indoors (in my home).
Cons
1) (Software issue?) When the screen changes to tablet mode, the screen brightness cannot be adjusted as desired. It is very annoying.
2) Battery time should be better.
3) Nvidia Optimus, No MUX switch.
4) This laptop does not have a sound reversal in tent mode.
Conclusion
I love this laptop. I also expect the new 2022 Folw X13 will be better than 2021.

Pros
Great speed for Adobe Creative on the go.
Very light and small form factor for travel. Power adapter small as well.
Decent battery life 3-5 hours.
Fast boot and snappy response to programs.
By far my favorite laptop.
Cons:
No Micro SD reader
Had to return one model due to a glitch in the touchpad but new one has no issues.
It can get hot and throttles the CPU (suggest a small cooler pad)
USB-C cable and connector in a strange place and not a fool proof solution to avoid plug in damage.

The Laptop is amazing in almost every way. it is slim, light, and plays games very well. My only disappointment is in the speakers. This may not be a big issue for some, but the sound was very muffled and distorted coming from the 2 downward facing speakers.

I love that it can go back and forth from tablet mode to a low end gaming machine. It makes for a great work station responding without an issue to commands given. It’s great that it has support for an egpu if I need to upgrade further later on (as so it doesn’t get horribly outdated as quickly) the surface of the laptop doesn’t seem to show any fingerprints, and feels solid (metal and not plastic feeling) the hinges for the flipping screen also appear solid. It’s small and portable but you don’t feel like your sacrificing alot of screen size due to the taller less traditional (not 16x9) screen, I don’t think I would like it on a larger laptop everything would feel bulky but on this size it lets you get a smaller one and feel like it’s a size up. The ram is zippy I do wish the hard drive was a faster read and write type but it’s not bad it’s still relatively new technology, it just could be improved upon there. Otherwise the only major improvements I’d like to see is screen related; increased brightness and color accuracy, screen size capability; pressure sensitivity . That all comes down to a better model tho and likely an improved graphics card which is out there, this is made in a 4K version with a wonderful graphics card, it’s just out of my price range. If your debating between the two and have the extra $ go with the other model. However if you get this one you’ll be happy with it

Wow what an amazing package. Looks basic but looks are deceiving. Sleek, powerful, compact, sturdy. With touch screen and tablet mode it really makes it versatile. And it can handle all the games I throw at it. I keep settings low to keep it running quite and it does run very quite most of the time. Wife loves it had to buy her one too. Need a solution for mouse. I dislike my only usb has a mouse dongle in it. Seeking solutions

Great lightweight computer. I was looking for something that would let me do a little light gaming while travelling for a new job. This fits the bill. It is not the most powerful gaming laptop out there, but is thin and light and is capable of playing every game I threw at it, even if some had to be on lowered settings. I regularly use a computer for sketching, so having the pen enabled screen is great. It is not the best at any one thing, but for a light weight gaming system it is great.

Bestbuy had the best price for this laptop. This small laptop is so powerful for gaming. It is also light weight for daily use, easy to carry around, long battery life. It comes with a touch screen and it is stylus compatible as well. It is not only a gaming laptop, but also good for students' studies. The only downside is that it only has 16MB of RAM and you may not be able to upgrade.

Great Laptop with LOTS of Potential

I am writing this review based on my own experience, setting aside from one flaw I had with the laptop. I purchased the ROG 13.4" because I listened to the reviews on YouTube praising how great of a laptop this is, and let me to you they weren't wrong.
The ROG Flow has everything a developer/gamer will need in a small 13.4" device. Good graphics, power and efficiency, 120hz touch display, and it's all lightweight package. The USB-C charging cable is a great option without having to carry around a giant power brick. Plus, it has the option to add an external GPU without sacrificing on performance. In short, this is basically the perfect working laptop for someone on the go.
However, with all the pro's the ASUS - ROG 13.4" laptop has, there are some con's that shouldn't be ignored. The first con being there is no way to expand the storage or memory which in my book is huge miss for a laptop like this. If ASUS - ROG 13.4" had 2 memory slots and the option to expand the storage with a full size NVMe drive, this could've gone from a great laptop to nearly perfect!
The second con I had came in the track-pad, and it's the reason I had to return it for a replacement unit. The track-pad is smooth with good precision, but the issue was in how loose it was, specifically in the front. There was a rattle whenever I clicked the front of the track-pad, it made it feel as though it was a double click. Sorry, but that shouldn't happen on a $1500.00 premium laptop like this.
Aside from the two con's I mentioned, I was happy with the purchase, but will be happier if the replacement arrives without any additional flaws. I have my fingers crossed, but continue to be cautiously optimistic the Flow laptop will be my number one choice to purchase in the future.

The most underrated 2 in 1 that people dont know about!
I mean this thing has a 5900 H series processor topped off with a dedicated GTX 3050 TI. Not to mention you can easily switch between dedicated and on board with the flip of a button. Add the fact that this flips into a two-in-one and has stylus support, this is a diamond in the rough!

Keep in mind this review is coming from someone who's only used mac for the past 10 years.
First off, this laptop is blazing fast. My concern was that having it in tablet mode or silent mode would make this laptop laggy but I have not ran across this at all.
Also, to my surprise with this 3050TI graphics card, I am able to run Warzone and get 90-105 fps. This is good enough for me to sell my xbox series S as it has very similar performance.
Warning: I would not recommend downloading graphic card drivers directly from Nvidia. I did this the first day and it caused issues where Armoury was not reading my graphics card. I though I had a faulty graphics card and almost returned this. I had to go directly onto the ROG website and reinstall the manufacture graphics card drivers.
Overall, I'm very satisfied as I basically replaced my macbook, ipad, and xbox, all with this single laptop.

This is kind of a niche product imo, most gamers are big into specs and want the best of the best, and most people looking for thin and lites or 2in1’s don’t care that much about them, this blends that gap for those of us that want it. I’ve purchased this laptop a couple times, I have the first to a coworker who is still in love with it, and had to buy myself another because there is Basically nothing else in the category. It will play any modern game without a problem, and honestly usually on medium to high seettings at the native resolution if you are not crazy about frame rates. The aspect ratio is awesome and hard to come by, a 16:9 aspect ratio in a smaller screen is much harder to be productive on, this is my primary computer and I use it more for productivity than gaming and its great For that too. Battery life is easily 6-8 hours of actual non gaming use thanks to ryzen, i picked up a portable usb c monitor for the off times I need a bigger screen and it works great with it, all this in a package that’s cheaper than many of the other high end thin and lite laptops, but this one can throw down And game during your downtime, and crushes most low power laptops in productivity.
