    Great Laptop, but…

I bought this laptop on sale on June 25th 2022, I was super excited to use it and it has been awesome for daily use. It runs any game I’ve wanted to play with no issues. However in December just 6 months into having it with moderate use the screen developed small lines going across it. I’m not sure what I would’ve done to cause this either as when it first happened I was simply playing Bloons TD 6. A game within phone capabilities so I’m not sure how that would’ve caused the issue. Since then I can’t use the laptop while charging as the screen basically breaks while the laptop is charging and is unusable. It is still a great laptop just annoying to deal with the charging issue and the lines make the viewing a little less enjoyable.

I'm honestly surprised this laptop isn't getting more attention. At MSRP, it undercuts the competing 2 in 1 ultrabooks from Dell, HP, Lenovo, and especially Microsoft. Coming from a Surface Book 2, I was blown away by the responsiveness doing any task thanks to the high refresh rate display and 8 core cpu. Gaming performance is a massive jump from the GTX 1050 in the Surface. Drawing and writing notes in tablet mode with a surface pen is excellent as the 120Hz display reduces pen latency to near zero. I expected a gaming branded product to look embarassing and be missing quality of life features my Surface would have, but that was not the case. The design is very sleek and satisfying, and content consumption is very enjoyable. I just wish a pen could magnetically attach to the lid.

This is a great laptop for on the go if you travel this might be perfect for you just because of the size. However if your trying to use it as a daily machine I wouldn't recommend. This laptop's fans will scream and the whole machine gets so hot if you try gaming, if you plan on not having a cooling pad this is not the laptop for you. Laptop is super fast, compact and great screen.

      Dear Valued Customer,

It's unfortunate to hear about your issue with the unit getting hot while gaming. This is not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. Certainly, the temp will increase while gaming because it takes a lot of GPU/CPU usage. To reduce the heat, please attempt the steps below. Its great value for the money, Very powerful cpu and very good gpu considering the size. The screen is very nice, its a glossy touch screen with 16:10 ratio and 120 hz, the colors are super saturated which i don't like can be tweaked easily. The keyboards layout and feel is very nice , but does feel cheaper than my xps 13, the click is nice just the type of plastic feels cheap. Similar with the track pad, the surface feels good and the click feels ok, it just kinda creeps while you glide over it Im still happy with it considering the price snd form factor, you can go for a much more expensive razer 14 with a slightly better gpu and much better build quality but price to performance im happy with this

Solid, versatile machine but not worth the retail price for components included, worth a shot if on sale. Would look for something a little more robust even if a little larger.

I shopped around for a solid laptop in a small form size. The G14 was great in regards to spec and size, but the build quality was too iffy. I didn't want to spend over $2000 for a Razor. The only other option was the Flow X 13. So far, not disappointed in the portability and flexibility for my needs, however, it's frustrating as try here is no 32gb + 3050ti version anywhere. Or a 3050ti with a bundle egpu... Without that option,I feel like I'm missing out on a discount. Pros: lightweight, tent mode, 3050ti not bad for light gaming, love the keyboard, optional 3080 external egpu (if and when it ever is shoes up in stock) Cons: only 16gb, fingerprint magnet, speaker isn't great (and I'm comparing it unfairly to the G14), wish there was just one more additional USB port, plasticky materials (first laptop I've ever had that has a small piece of plastic where my wrist go chip off from my watch resting on it...)

Excellent gaming laptop for the size and weight, even if not extremely powerful on it's own. The RTX3050 TI is fairly impressive for what it is, but given it only has 4GB of RAM, it may have issues with some of the newest games and those produced in the future. You can spend another $1500 on the external graphics card which should make a huge difference, however, if you are looking for an extremely powerful future proof gaming laptop, this isn't it (assuming you don't buy the external card), but if you are looking for an ultrabook that can also do some gaming this could be a good option.

Amazing performance, i know the GPU is on the low end but you can run any title game with no issues. Only cons are the screen brightness and the battery life. However, this laptop is only about a half inch thick so the small battery and short life (2-4 hours gaming) is expected. Overall very happy with it, my wife loves the tablet use and touchscreen.

Display: Fluid and Amazing Performance: It is powerful thanks to Ryzen 9 processor. But it's performance is not that much high compared to my intel 10th gen mobile processor. Portability: Excellent - it is light weight and mobile Issues: - HDMI can shut out - then you need to disconnect, and reconnect the cable. It can be annoying. - touchpad can stop working in the middle of a game. Then you need to restart the machin.

The technology packed inside this small form factor is truly amazing. This little laptop not only exceeds performance expectations but is so versatile in use. ASUS is known for putting quality components in their machines and this laptop is no exception. The touchscreen works very well, but unfortunately this package does not include an active stylus to fully utilize the screen potential. Once Microsoft releases Windows 11, this machine will be able to utilize the new functionality of Windows exceptionally well.

Very happy with this purchase. I use this for mostly business purposes with some travel. I do game but not crazy gaming like some others. For me, this is the perfect laptop. I will sell off my desktop with a 1060 3GB (which is sufficient for me). Nice to have a machine that can do it all. This does work with a Surface pen and works well. Laptop is normally super quiet when you want but still powerful. Battery life for office/web has been surprisingly good as well. Like all the other reviews are stating, you will really enjoy this laptop if you understand what/who it is for. In my final opinion, it is one of the best small screen laptop you can purchase.

I love this laptop! Sure you can get more power elsewhere, but the uniqueness of the 2 in 1 design plus some gaming horsepower (with the potential for adding more rendering beef) makes this laptop well worth admission. I mainly use it for cad and pre-viz for live events, and its been tremendously usefull. Being able to flip and show designs and have clients poke and collaborate at will is pretty fantastic. I do reccomend a screen protector if you plan on picking up a stylus though,(I picked up the microsoft surface pen and it works well) and dont put off the little cardboard stand they included in the box, its actually pretty useful.

    Quality ultraportable gaming notebook

SUMMARY Who should get this? -You want an ultraportable laptop (INCLUDING the power brick) -You want to do light gaming or photo/video work -You NEED Windows PROS -Has a webcam -Small footprint -Amazing GPU and CPU performance for the size -Build quality seems mostly solid -Decent thermal performance -16:10 is great for productivity, especially on a 13.4" screen -Once you've used 120hz, you can't go back to 60hz -RTX 3050 Ti means you can use Nvidia Broadcast's AMAZING mic and webcam features CONS -Touchpad is tiny -Chassis above the keyboard flexes too much -You must use the OEM power adapter to unlock turbo and manual mode, even if you use 100W USB-C chargers -Chassis could be smaller; lots of wasted space near media keys -Battery life is so-so; around 5-8 hours in iGPU mode -Small form factor with powerful components means fans ramp up frequently and sometimes loudly -Keyboard can get hot while gaming FULL REVIEW This is a very niche product that will likely only meet the needs of a specific group of people. Let's get these out of the way first: -If you don't absolutely need Windows, get a M1 Macbook Air. Better battery life, zero noise, and similar non-gaming performance -If you want to play triple A games on the go, get a Zephyrus G14/G15. Far better gaming performance for the same price -If you want the smallest Windows ultraportable possible with better battery life, get a Dell XPS 13 or HP Spectre x360 13.5 So who is this for? If you're someone who frequently travels, needs to perform Windows-only GPU and CPU intensive tasks (photo editing, gaming, programming, database work, etc.), and want the most powerful machine possible in the smallest package that can be powered at full power off of USB-C, then this is for you. Yes, a M1 Mac has better battery life, but you need to run Windows apps natively. Yes, a Zephyrus G15 smokes this device in gaming, but the brick and the laptop itself weigh twice as much as the Flow X13. Yes, ASUS did not make good use of space with the media buttons, but the XPS 13 and Spectre x360 13.5 perform nowhere near close to the X13. The Razer Blade 13 is constructed better but doesn't perform as well and costs hundreds more for the same specs. All in all, it's a decently well-built machine with best-in-class performance for its weight class. For those who are constantly traveling, you know that every ounce in your backpack matters. USB-C charging means you can carry around one charger (the charger it comes with) and power all of your USB-C devices without carrying others around. I looked and couldn't find another laptop with similar performance and overall size/weight footprint AND price. Plus, with an RTX GPU, you can run Nvidia broadcast, which does an amazing job of removing background noise for your Zoom calls/Discord gaming sessions and has AI webcam features. In a COVID-19 world, Nvidia Broadcast has made doing conference calls in noisy environments and terrible lighting not just possible but seem normal, and its value should not be understated! My main gripe with this laptop is that unless you use the OEM charger, you can't use the Turbo or Manual modes. I was hoping to use an aftermarket 100W USB-C charger, but since the OEM charger supports all PD profiles, I'm OK with just bringing that one with me instead.
