so far im loving it its able to functional for all the school work i need plus its powerful enough to play just about anything i want, so a 4 star for me the battery life does leave much to be desired if your playing games especially something intensive tarkov or call of duty will bring battery down to like 2 hours but when just doing like word doc's and other simple programs i get about 7-8 hours of life with daily chrome usage and love the super simple storage upgrade one screw and your ready to put in a new drive .

Portable Powerhouse To Game on the Plane With!

Bought this tablet to replace an older GPD Win Max unit that was not keeping up with the on the go gaming I was doing. I had paired this little rig with a GTX1070 Gigabyte Game Box. Previous to this I had a Blade 14 with a GTX 1060.
I spent some time playing with this laptop over the week before my trip, and it was a joy to have the tablet out on the coffee table in the living room with a controller playing games while my wife and I watched Netflix. In addition to that, I hooked the tablet up to the TV for some living room couch gaming sessions, which this device was more than capable of. I pretty much played Rocket League at highest settings 1080p 120FPS locked.
I also tried other things out. Playing Forza Horizon 5 on high settings yielded 70 FPS, however if you bump some of the RT settings down you can see around 80-90 FPS. Not too shabby!
Where this device really shined was portability on the airplane. I purchased an external PD battery pack capable of delivering 60 watts of charge and was able to extend the battery back by around 1.5-2 hours depending on game settings. In addition to this, I found that when gaming on a plane, if you use a 60 watt PD charger that was not the Asus supplied one, you could game on the laptop using the Silent profile, still continuously charge slowly, and not trip the breaker on the plane's AC outlet! Pretty awesome for long trips! Using this method I played a lot of Forza Horizon 5 (around 70fps on the silent profile) and Elden Ring on all low settings at 800p (around 50 fps on the silent profile). Anyone who has tried to take a gaming laptop on a plane to plug into the outlet, knows the struggle of the outlet not having enough juice to power a 300 watt power supply.
Other things I tested was using this to play Overwatch (over 200+ fps on low settings), and Valheim (about 70 fps on medium settings with most options turned off).
Yes this tablet isn't as fast as other 3050ti laptops with a bigger form factor, but that isn't the reason you buy this tablet. You buy it for the portability, and the really quiet cooling system. These fans, even on the highest setting (Turbo) are really quiet compared to other gaming laptops. If you have the speakers at around 30% they are completely inaudible. The screen is pretty bright as well, no problems using this tablet in direct sunlight.
This tablet is quiet, feels like machine with power somewhere between a PS4 and PS5 and a screen on it.

I bought this laptop when it was on sale and I don't regret it, its amazing to have the power of a PC on a tablet
I have a monitor with many USBs and that allows me to use it like a normal PC
a great choice if you are looking for power in something small

Great idea and concept but does have a few drawbacks. I thought you could add an extra ssd but the expansion slot is actually a micro sd slot on the back. The ssd is the 2inch sized one and there isnt an expansion slot for itonly an easy access panel to swap out. All in all i am extremely satisfied with this despite those two things. The audio is the best ive ever had in a laptop and if you have a surface behind the screen the sound bounces off and is easily heard. The screen doesnt smudge up so far in my limited use of the touch screen. The fans are quieter than previous gaming laptops I’ve owned also. I would recomend this if your wanting a niche type portable gaming laptop. The screen is a bit on the smaller side but i guess thats the new “industry standard” size for portability. I had an Acer Nitro17 and miss that screen size

Absolutely love this device! It's portable and powerful.
The only downside is that 3rd party USB Chargers max out at 65W. Meaning you cant use the "Turbo" mode without the official power adapter.

It's been about 2 weeks of use and I've got to say that I'm so glad that I purchased this. My mobile office used for real estate, business, crypto staking, nodes, and yes even gaming. I chose it for its portability, power, ROG branding, and versatility. CON: could say its on the high price side but you are paying for the mobility factor. Have not yet figured out the Hello Windows feature w/facial recognition. The original camera is not recognized by the program.

Definitely a beast of a tablet. Saw a lot of complaints about the battery life but it is a gaming tablet. How long do you really expect it to last. Love the size of it. I can sit it bed and it's lite and doesn't get hot on the underside like laptops.

Years ago I purchased a Surface Book 2 from Best Buy, and it's been a great product, but this device is amazing. It is fast, it handles most tasks, and even Flight Simulator, with ease.
I will say that it is a bit on the heavy side, but one of the things I love is that this device comes with an i9, 1TB SSD, 16GB of memory, and a keyboard, for $1900. Try and get the same specs and keyboard with the MS Surface Pro 8. You can't do it.
The screen is nice, and has a 120Hz refresh rate. The speakers are not the best, but I am not really listening to music on it. I thought the screen may be a bit small, but it is a nice size, although I do wish it was a 3:2 ratio instead of 16:9
Al in all, this is a great device, with an easy out of the box setup.

Might be just me, but the graphics card keeps pooping out on Destiny 2, and felt pretty jittery on High on Life and other more taxing games even with really turned down graphics settings. Lots of stuttering. I definitely expected more, my 1660ti in my last laptop performed better. I'll be selling this tablet, it's not the experience I expected.
The other negative was the Power Delivery on one of the USB-C ports stopped working. I had to take it to Geek Squad for repair since I bought it at Best Buy. It's a three week turnaround for a repair I probably could have figured out myself.
I should say that literally everything else about the laptop was a dream. The lighting on the back was sick, the keyboard was great, the tablet felt durable and powerful, and the screen was bright and looked great. The fan wasn't too loud, but I mostly use headphones. Packaging was great too.
What I'm doing instead? I'm getting a Framework laptop and an eGPU. I'll have better specs for $2000 than this tablet and XG Mobile eGPU for $3500.

Excellent gaming tablet, runs Forza at 60fps on medium settings and busy MMOs like FFXIV at 60fps in busy areas to 100+ in less popular are areas on the highest setting.
Four stars because it is clunky to place on your lap, you always need a flat hard surface to place it on. Also battery power will only get you an hour of gameplay dropping frames to 30.
So worth it for the discounted value!

This is probably the best tablet I ever bought from Best buy. It is fast, has a graphics card, has pen capabilities, can do gaming, does not get hot, it is light and compact, it is not very bulky, can be used while traveling. I can say that this is something I have been waiting for for years. Thank you!

had a 2 year warranty. starting around the 2 year point the battery started acting up. we are at 26 months now and i have to keep it plugged in to use. Battery lasts less than a half hour. It almost seems like there was a timer installed to go out the day after coverage ended,

So let me start by saying I love this device. I've been thinking about getting a surface pro 8 for a long time and this just does so much more as someone that wanted to do light gaming on the go. That being said this device has a few draw backs that definitely something Asus needs to address if they make a V.2.
Firstly the 100w charger is not enough to keep this thing charged while gaming. I've been losing about 10% per hour while gaming. So Asus needs to not try and focus on small and compact and give us a larger charger. Dell has a 130w usb-c charger so there is no excuse for Asus to not have one for this device.
That being said this thing is actually pretty powerful. I can run Elden Ring at the full 1920x1200 resolution on high and get around 50fps. And I can get pretty much locked 60fps playing Monster Hunter World with the same settings. So you can play some demanding titles on this with good results. Just don't expect to get 120fps unless you turn the settings way down.
I do have the XG Mobile 3080 on the way and I hope it addresses my issue with the battery drain while gaming and lets me play much closer to 100fps in my games. But, as it stands this is the most powerful tablet you can get. So if you have been waiting for something like this then you really should get one.

Incredible PC/Tablet!

Incredible PC/Tablet! I originally bought solely as a to-go device for travel/trips, but honestly it has now replaced my aging gaming desktop with the external 3080 I got on sale from the Asus website. (buying both separately on sale was over a thousand dollars cheaper than any bundle)
My only con was that the battery life is VERY short, however, using an external power pack saved the day! The battery life was not bad enough to lower my review, as the rest of the tablet more than overcame this short-coming I was able to remedy for $80.
Another con I have read about online that the keyboard was 'bouncy and needed to be replaced immediately.' Honestly, it's fine for casual play once paired with a bluetooth mouse. Simply put, any replacement capable of fitting on an airplane seat tray would be found lacking in some regard in my opinion.

I've been very pleased with this product, and have had zero issues thus far. The ASUS app that comes with it could be a little more user friendly, but once you figure out how to navigate the settings, the customizations are fantastic, allowing for silent operation and decent battery life when performing low demand tasks such as surfing the web and email. Plug it in, and you have a nice little portable gaming rig. I've only played BG3 so far, but it handles it just fine with all settings on high. FYI, I got it on sale for $999. I wouldn't have paid the full asking price.

For a tablet, the things it does is crazy. However, sometimes it turns off by itself while i was gaming and then it does not turn on and not charges, i will have to leave it for a day or two to get ut working. It happened to me twice. Other than that, its great for gaming purpose.
