Excellent computer in terms of performance, but I feel that it lacks more USB ports, it is very practical because it is tactile to do tasks, but I give it 5 stars because I did not use it much and the keyboard was damaged, very delicate for the price

Great idea and concept but does have a few drawbacks. I thought you could add an extra ssd but the expansion slot is actually a micro sd slot on the back. The ssd is the 2inch sized one and there isnt an expansion slot for itonly an easy access panel to swap out. All in all i am extremely satisfied with this despite those two things. The audio is the best ive ever had in a laptop and if you have a surface behind the screen the sound bounces off and is easily heard. The screen doesnt smudge up so far in my limited use of the touch screen. The fans are quieter than previous gaming laptops I’ve owned also. I would recomend this if your wanting a niche type portable gaming laptop. The screen is a bit on the smaller side but i guess thats the new “industry standard” size for portability. I had an Acer Nitro17 and miss that screen size

Absolutely love this device! It's portable and powerful. The only downside is that 3rd party USB Chargers max out at 65W. Meaning you cant use the "Turbo" mode without the official power adapter.

It's been about 2 weeks of use and I've got to say that I'm so glad that I purchased this. My mobile office used for real estate, business, crypto staking, nodes, and yes even gaming. I chose it for its portability, power, ROG branding, and versatility. CON: could say its on the high price side but you are paying for the mobility factor. Have not yet figured out the Hello Windows feature w/facial recognition. The original camera is not recognized by the program.

Years ago I purchased a Surface Book 2 from Best Buy, and it's been a great product, but this device is amazing. It is fast, it handles most tasks, and even Flight Simulator, with ease. I will say that it is a bit on the heavy side, but one of the things I love is that this device comes with an i9, 1TB SSD, 16GB of memory, and a keyboard, for $1900. Try and get the same specs and keyboard with the MS Surface Pro 8. You can't do it. The screen is nice, and has a 120Hz refresh rate. The speakers are not the best, but I am not really listening to music on it. I thought the screen may be a bit small, but it is a nice size, although I do wish it was a 3:2 ratio instead of 16:9 Al in all, this is a great device, with an easy out of the box setup.

Might be just me, but the graphics card keeps pooping out on Destiny 2, and felt pretty jittery on High on Life and other more taxing games even with really turned down graphics settings. Lots of stuttering. I definitely expected more, my 1660ti in my last laptop performed better. I'll be selling this tablet, it's not the experience I expected. The other negative was the Power Delivery on one of the USB-C ports stopped working. I had to take it to Geek Squad for repair since I bought it at Best Buy. It's a three week turnaround for a repair I probably could have figured out myself. I should say that literally everything else about the laptop was a dream. The lighting on the back was sick, the keyboard was great, the tablet felt durable and powerful, and the screen was bright and looked great. The fan wasn't too loud, but I mostly use headphones. Packaging was great too. What I'm doing instead? I'm getting a Framework laptop and an eGPU. I'll have better specs for $2000 than this tablet and XG Mobile eGPU for $3500.

Definitely a beast of a tablet. Saw a lot of complaints about the battery life but it is a gaming tablet. How long do you really expect it to last. Love the size of it. I can sit it bed and it's lite and doesn't get hot on the underside like laptops.

Excellent gaming tablet, runs Forza at 60fps on medium settings and busy MMOs like FFXIV at 60fps in busy areas to 100+ in less popular are areas on the highest setting. Four stars because it is clunky to place on your lap, you always need a flat hard surface to place it on. Also battery power will only get you an hour of gameplay dropping frames to 30. So worth it for the discounted value!

So let me start by saying I love this device. I've been thinking about getting a surface pro 8 for a long time and this just does so much more as someone that wanted to do light gaming on the go. That being said this device has a few draw backs that definitely something Asus needs to address if they make a V.2. Firstly the 100w charger is not enough to keep this thing charged while gaming. I've been losing about 10% per hour while gaming. So Asus needs to not try and focus on small and compact and give us a larger charger. Dell has a 130w usb-c charger so there is no excuse for Asus to not have one for this device. That being said this thing is actually pretty powerful. I can run Elden Ring at the full 1920x1200 resolution on high and get around 50fps. And I can get pretty much locked 60fps playing Monster Hunter World with the same settings. So you can play some demanding titles on this with good results. Just don't expect to get 120fps unless you turn the settings way down. I do have the XG Mobile 3080 on the way and I hope it addresses my issue with the battery drain while gaming and lets me play much closer to 100fps in my games. But, as it stands this is the most powerful tablet you can get. So if you have been waiting for something like this then you really should get one.

This is probably the best tablet I ever bought from Best buy. It is fast, has a graphics card, has pen capabilities, can do gaming, does not get hot, it is light and compact, it is not very bulky, can be used while traveling. I can say that this is something I have been waiting for for years. Thank you!

Incredible PC/Tablet! I originally bought solely as a to-go device for travel/trips, but honestly it has now replaced my aging gaming desktop with the external 3080 I got on sale from the Asus website. (buying both separately on sale was over a thousand dollars cheaper than any bundle) My only con was that the battery life is VERY short, however, using an external power pack saved the day! The battery life was not bad enough to lower my review, as the rest of the tablet more than overcame this short-coming I was able to remedy for $80. Another con I have read about online that the keyboard was 'bouncy and needed to be replaced immediately.' Honestly, it's fine for casual play once paired with a bluetooth mouse. Simply put, any replacement capable of fitting on an airplane seat tray would be found lacking in some regard in my opinion.

had a 2 year warranty. starting around the 2 year point the battery started acting up. we are at 26 months now and i have to keep it plugged in to use. Battery lasts less than a half hour. It almost seems like there was a timer installed to go out the day after coverage ended,

For a tablet, the things it does is crazy. However, sometimes it turns off by itself while i was gaming and then it does not turn on and not charges, i will have to leave it for a day or two to get ut working. It happened to me twice. Other than that, its great for gaming purpose.

I've been very pleased with this product, and have had zero issues thus far. The ASUS app that comes with it could be a little more user friendly, but once you figure out how to navigate the settings, the customizations are fantastic, allowing for silent operation and decent battery life when performing low demand tasks such as surfing the web and email. Plug it in, and you have a nice little portable gaming rig. I've only played BG3 so far, but it handles it just fine with all settings on high. FYI, I got it on sale for $999. I wouldn't have paid the full asking price.

Okay, I know, I rated this 5 stars. I'll explain. Pretty much the only reason people are rating this below 5 stars is pretty much because of the battery life and power throttling. For a simple explanation on these cons; the battery doesn't even last 2 hours and when gaming or whatever uses the CPU and GPU at load simeltaneously, the power going to the CPU is reduced, causing it to underperform. I don't know why they do that even though a 100w power adapter is used (most likely due to thermal limits I think). But now to the reason for the 5 stars. *Tips for battery life* Originally when I bought this laptop/superior Surface Pro but ASUS, I was expecting low battery life, but not that low. I used it with the default standard GPU settings that was set in the ASUS Armoury Crate app (this app controls what power mode the CPU and GPU are on). Also, I had the CPU setting set to silent mode. I tried using it just for Google Chrome and Microsoft OneNote on battery. End result, I got about 1 hour 30 minutes of battery life, pretty bad. Now, after fiddling around with the armoury crate settings, I changed the GPU setting to eco mode and kept silent mode for the CPU. Eco mode basically disables the main discrete GPU (the RTX 3050 Ti) and switches to the integrated GPU built into the CPU. After using Google Chrome and Microsoft OneNote on battery, I managed to get over 3 hours of battery life. And according to the Windows battery estimate, it said it had another hour to go. I think that's pretty great for a 56 wHr battery (which is small for the specs) considering that it's in such a small form factor and it's literally an Intel i9 12900H. In fact, if you just use Chrome to type notes or watch videos, etc. I think you could get north of 5 hours or more on one battery charge. Also, I still had the refresh set to 120Hz (which reduces battery life by an amount, but not much). I think by default when set to eco mode, it changes the refresh down to 60Hz to save battery. Battery life of course depends 100% on what apps you have actively open and running on your computer, but I'm just giving my experience in how I got the battery life to be manageable for college classes. And of course, 5 hours of battery for a laptop still seems pathetic compared to the 12-20 hours that other uktrabooks are getting. But, you have to consider the functionality of the Z13 compared to other laptops, that's why you're reading the reviews on this ASUS Z13. On to performance and productivity. The i9 in this laptop is amazing, the GPU performs well enough and the RAM speeds are great. During gaming, due to the power limits mentioned earlier, there is some performance loss in games but they still run at very playable framerates. For the tech guys reading this; It power throttles the CPU to 2.4GHz core clock and the GPU to about 1200MHz core clock on performance or turbo mode. But I think another main factor for the CPU throttling down so much is also temps. It gets to 75 C to 85 C when gaming. Other than that, you may see the CPU clocking all the way to upwards of 5GHz single core clock speeds in the short 5 minutes of gaming before it throttles down. Using Chrome and pretty much any application I use on this laptoo runs very smoothly. Downloading things are speedy due to the Gen4 SSD (I think it's PCIE 4.0), and is noticeabley faster than my Gen3 SSD in my desktop PC. Watching videos and movies on this laptop is also amazing. The IPS panel has great color accuracy and the peak brightness is great. Back to gaming, the 120Hz refresh rate is a big factor that I was looking for in this form factor laptop. It feels much quicker/smoother and responsive compared to the typical 60Hz screens. Games look great and they feel great when playing games like New World, Minecraft, League of Legends, Apex Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege just to name a few. On average, these games had an average FPS of about 90 FPS which is actually astonoshing to me considering that the 3050 Ti is almost the slowest 30 series GPU you can get and I'm used to my RTX 3070 in my PC which runs at almost 200 FPS average in almost all those games on low settings. One more thing I want to note on taking notes (no pun intended). I think OneNote and the other Microsoft Office applications is probably your best option for using a stylus pen for notes. I personally bought a Renaisser 530C with the digital eraser I think for $39.99 on Amazon. It works great and is a great value compared to the surface pen slim. I was on the line of getting the regular surface pen on that massive sale which got it down to $40 as well or getting the Renaisser. But, I ended up getting the Renaisser because of the finction to recharge the battery rather than having to replace the Surface Pen with a AAAA battery every now and then (they do advertise a year of battery life on one battery cycle, but I have my doubts). Personally, I think taking notes with the refresh rate set to 120Hz feels smoother than 60Hz but some people may not notice the minute difference in responsiveness. Overall, I think that the functionality of this laptop pays off and is worth your money. Speaking about value. I payed $1500 open box condition for my laptop and I would not pay anymore than that. Just my opinion but you do you. Still great value compared to any Surface Pro or Surface Laptop in terms of specs (maybe not battery life). Hopefully you read this review and it helps you decide!
