Ended up having to return it. After 2 days it got a black screen while playing elden ring and it never turned back on. Geek squad couldn’t even get it to turn on not sure what it was.

Quality Control issues

I am on my second unit. First one had a faulty left speaker.
The second unit that I exchanged for a few days ago is having the same issue many people on Reddit with the same unit are reporting as well as another reviewer here.
Receiving many hundreds of WHEA 17 error with the PCI express in the windows event log (while plugged into power, but not on battery).
I was getting blue screen of death crashes several times a day. I did a complete wipe and fresh/clean install of Windows 11 and so far I haven't had any BSOD crashes, but I am still getting the event log warnings (100s every minute) when plugged in.
I am debating exchanging this one for a third time (for the same model again) or just getting a completely different laptop because this is ridiculous ...such poor quality control on the part of ASUS

Hard to gice a good rating when your purchase doesn't come with what is advertised. On the product page it clearly states it comes with the 100watt USB type c charger and not the crappy barrel port option. Well guess what? This unit comes with a barrel port. Thanks best buy!

I’ve used this laptop for a wide variety of cases, from regular web searching/video watching to college level computer science work to gaming (Destiny 2 and Minecraft in particular), and it has been able to handle everything super fast and smooth, even with high settings for the games. Very lightweight but still feels like durable build quality, very easy bringing back and forth to school.

I have had thus ASUS ROG FLOW X16 for 1 week. Its very strong. I did need to add a few thing's. Number keypad $10, USB Hub 7 ports $50. More Ram Single 32GB keeping one 8GB = 40GB $88 and room for 64 later, extra 1TB SSD external $60. Dark feel on screen is very gamey. I do CAD and 3D print and papers on my work with graphic illustrations. This machine feels balanced and fast. Lots of external comms that is surprising. It finds my printers, loads drivers and sets it up. It found my 2016 paid license for office and loaded that up. So many little things are now covered from my 2008 HP Pavilion D6V system. I actually left it at Best Buy after i got the new 1TB SSD loaded with its files. The ASUS company shows a professional attitude to users. The product reveals complete professionalism in detail of design and component selection. As a retired engineer i look forward to the new tech coming in to this machine with no worry if it can handle it and grow with me. U epect it will last the same 15 years as my 2008 DV6! Very happy!

Bought as a work laptop for Architecture software. Never got that far to using much as a workhorse as started immediately having issues with laptop shutting off and not following what to do when lid closed settings. I would find it off and unable to wake from sleep without doing a long press and hard reboot. Final straw was when I hadn’t used it in a day or two and went to go turn it on as it was plugged in at desk and lid closed, it was burning hot to the touch. Like I couldn’t touch above the keyboard for more than a half a second as it was that hot! Scorching hot on bottom and top. Wouldn’t turn on. I had left a web browser open and that’s it! No clue why it didn’t sleep or why it would overheat just being left alone for more than a day. I had to put a big fan on high pointed at the laptop to cool it for like 15 min. Eventually when it cooled down I could start it but that was enough for me to wipe my data and return to BestBuy. I paid way too much for this to have these absurd problems.

I paid an exuberant amout of money for this paperweight. It will run for maybe 5 minutes and then reboot due to it crashing from an error dealling with "ASUS SMART DISPLAY CONTROL EXE. It doesn't matter what you are doing or if it is plugged into power or not. It will reboot on you. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK. For the most part I would recommend anything ASUS or ROG. This is the exception to this rule.
