Great Laptop for Work and Gaming

This laptop has been pretty great so far!! I primarily use it for graphic design / content creation but also for FPS games and it runs really smooth. I have to remember to change the modes though - they have a turbo mode that’s best for gaming though it causes the laptop to heat up fast. Regardless, it’s still never too hot to touch or anything and I love that I have options to upgrade it as needed as well. Please note I don’t play anything competitively so take my review about gaming with a grain of salt.

This is overall a fantastic all around laptop if you come in with the right expectations for performance. To start with, build quality on this is excellent and a clear step up from what Asus has been doing with the G14 / G15 with this being a clear evolution of that design. Chassis is all around very solid and feels relatively premium, I personally really like the soft-touch interior but your mileage may vary. Keyboard is a solid improvement on the G14 / G15: it keeps the same generally very good layout but improves upon key stability and travel feel in my opinion. I don't love the backlighting as it's single zone and doesn't have particularly smooth transition: I just set to white but it does have a mild pink tint there which is unfortunate. Trackpad is large and feels fantastic to use, fingerprint sensor is great. The real highlight of this machine is the absolutely fantastic 16:10 display that's wonderfully bright and vivid. It's not quite Razer good but it's easily one of the best displays I've seen in a gaming laptop and a significant step up from other Asus machines. On performance, this machine is extremely capable (also very easy to upgrade, definitely add in an additional drive to the open NVMe slot when you can), with probably the main caveat being the RTX 3050ti due to its 4GB of VRAM. In everything I tested so far (Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Gears 5, Back 4 Blood) you can get a very nice gaming experience without much compromise on quality especially if the title supports DLSS which will likely be the thing that keeps this GPU pretty usable in the future. Games moving forward are likely going to cause issues with that amount of VRAM so keep that in mind when purchasing, but at the moment I found it surprisingly capable. I'd definitely recommend this machine as a general use laptop that's also really solid for gaming as long as you have the right expectation.

    Best Computer I have Owned

Far surpassed expectations. After having only used Macbooks and PC desktops, this was a great next choice for a laptop. The screen is vivid and BRIGHT, the hardware design is attractive and not too gamer-y. Halo Infinite, Fortnite, Warzone all run well. Regular office tasks are easy since the machine is fast with an i7 and 16GB of RAM. 144hz display makes a huge difference. The only things I dislike are loud fans and the three upper middle small status lights above the keyboard that reflect on the screen. Sometimes I set a strip of paper or tape over them. Otherwise, fantastic computer with no issues.

The laptop itself is pretty good! beautiful screen, nice build quality, really nice keyboard. Unfortunately having bought this for college the battery life is horrible, i can MAYBE get 3 and a half hours off a full charge with the brightness down and using integrated graphics on silent (while doing tasks like typing in google docs and stuff like that). The laptop stays silent while doing simple things like typing a paper or just browsing the web! Gets really loud while playing games but thats a given seeing as its a laptop so you shouldn't be expecting it to stay silent. I had Wifi issues when i first bought the laptop, to fix this go into the: My Asus App, customer support, live updates, and you should be able to download the wifi driver from there ! Honestly if you cant charge the laptop after every class or every few hours i wouldn't recommended this but if thats not an issue i can safely recommend it if you set your expectations on game preformance (the 3050ti is not the same as the desktop version, if you want to veiw benchmarks for games make sure you search up "laptop 3050 Ti".

My kids are into pc gaming and I wanted a system that I could use to play with them. I’m also into photography and coding, so I wanted a solid laptop and the 16:10 screen really sold me. The boys use g14s and those have been great, so I went with the m16 for me. The laptop performs very well, it’s not too big or heavy and the I/o is plenty. The Asus armory crate makes managing the system easy. I like that I can expand the memory and ssd in the future. The laptop deck is soft touch and the keyboard and very large trackpad are excellent. The system manages heat pretty well, but can get very loud under load, but again there are settings to help this. The screen is bright and crisp, and the aspect ratio makes it feel large and modern with almost no bezels, and you get a webcam in this model. My only complaint is the screens backlight bleed. I had to make a couple returns until I got one with acceptable bleed, but it is still there. You cannot see it under most normal use but sometimes at night you can if the screen content is very dark.

This gaming laptop is awesome. The RGB lighting looks good. It is a fast laptop. I upgraded to this from my 2018 Alienware with a GTX 1660. This has a RTX 3060Ti and man the difference in performance is day and night. I highly recommend over building a gaming rig. The whole thing cost me right at $1500. I think that if you try to buy just the video card, you’re looking at a substantial price hike due to lack of stock and scalpers. This may not be the most powerful RTX graphics card, but for me, it gets the job done.

Good product. Starts up relatively quick. Windows Eleven seams to work well. I would recommend this computer to anyone who likes to game online. It has a fast enough processor and good enough graphics card for a beginning gamer, and will run mist online games. This computer is also an excellent choice for doing school work. I would purchase this product again.

Overall this is a solid gaming laptop, nice RGB, nice having volume control buttons on the keyboard and pretty decent speakers. I really wanted to keep this especially since it was Asus, but a few things turned me off. 1.) You have to charge for 3 hours before first use (I did 3 and a half to be safe) after the first few days the charger would only say "plugged in" and not charge at all and slowly dying to below 63% before I returned it. 2) the display is 1920 x 1200 instead of 1920 x 1080 (personal preference) 3) Integrated graphics, you can not turn off even when you go into the bios so you can't take advantage of "DLSS or reflex" because you cant make the 3050 ti primary. Unless you connect it to monitor or TV. I spent a whole day trying to get this figured out with, Intel, Nvidia and Asus no luck. Outside of the battery issue, if the other stuff I mentioned doesn't matter this was a really solid laptop, but just didn't live up to my gaming needs. So i went with the "Omen 16-b0013dx" Has a 3060, has display I want and you can change the primary GPU in the bios, was only 100 more when I bought it and I haven't looked back.

I purchased this laptop for my wife as a gift, and she's been playing games ranging from The Witcher 3, Apex Legends, Lost Ark, and Diablo Immortal. So far everything has worked splendidly, Apex averages about 110-115 fps, and Diablo is at about 120. It's a gaming laptop, so don't try to do much without the power cord plugged in, but when attached its smooth sailing. Thank you ASUS for making a product I can recommend!

first gaming laptop buyer, overall I really like it, i get over 200 fps playing valorant, 140ish on fortnite and around 70 on warzone. screen with 16:10 is really nice. only negatives are sometimes the trackpad acts funky but is very rare. lately ive notices aura keyboard effect goes out of sync, reboot usually fixes it. would reccomend

Laptop is good for gaming, DONT expect to play ultra settings. But medium settings will get you over 60 fps in most games. Pretty good if you want a decent gaming laptop. Also doesn’t overheat and stays at a constant temperature while playing games. The keyboard can get a little getting used to but it’s still a good keyboard with good rgb coloring.

I really like this laptop. The screen is my favorite feature, its 16:10 and 144hz, it just feels great. The keyboard is also great, and overall the laptop is pretty compact for its power. My only complaint is that the fan runs pretty loud compared to a non gaming laptop, but that makes sense for have a discrete gpu.
