Best performance ever. Coming from a RTX 3080 to this is the biggest jump I have ever seen

Picked up the 5090 Astral expecting top-tier performance, but it was a letdown. The card maxed out at just 1.04v, which seriously limited its overclocking potential. It also ran noticeably louder than expected.
I switched to the Master Ice, and the difference was clear — 1.07v cap, better cooling, quieter, and way more stable under load. In my opinion, the Master Ice is the better-designed card overall.
If you’re choosing between the two, skip the Astral — it doesn’t live up to the premium price tag.

Only card I actually kept tried 6 5090s

Due to power pin monitoring I bought and kept this card. When I run stock settings for AI, I get power pin spikes. I set this to 75% power in gpu tweak and no more spkies. I play old games at 60 fps in 8k and its a beast on high to ultra settings with no ray tracing enabled. No other card has power pin monitoring and after seeing spikes I know I made the right choice, this only after getting it a few hundred off as open box. At retail, the price is a joke!! No issue registering warranty. Hate the price and still mad about the industry. Hopefully it retains its value for resale in a couple years.

Great card, if a little expensive. If you can get a cheaper version i would recommend that, but given 5090 scarcity this is still cheaper than one from a scalper.

I rarely order from bb, mostly because their customer service personel are lying pieces in of garbage. In fact its years between orders because i forget this fact, ot hope it has changed. Nope, never again. Card is fine, I came from a 4080, so i did see a significant improvement. After sitting on the wai list for the fe i finally got tired and paid bb’s scalper price for this one. Is it worth the price, not really but I was having issues with the 4080.

In short, I received a 4090 strix that some scumbag returned as a 5090. While not entirely the fault of Best Buy, they need to do a better job of assessing returns.

Brand new out of the box and it didn't work. No picture nothing.
