My son loves this. It was a Christmas present. It runs so fast, quit, cool, and can be upgraded to 32 gig of ram in the future. It runs fine now. The best buy guy said you will be good for the next 8 years. This CPU is really ahead of its time.

I went in to buy a different gaming desktop, the one my son wanted for Christmas, but they were sold out. The associate recommended this one instead. As I was close to being out of time with Christmas around the corner I took it knowing I'd probably be returning it. My son loves it!! It runs all of his games at high graphics. Well worth the extra $200 I had to spend.

My business needs require a high-performance PC for my video and graphics work - as well as my computer gaming after hours. This computer hauls! What took me better than 6 hours to render (Adobe Premier) now takes less than 45 minutes! I can run multiple programs without anything slowing down. My investment has already returned dividends.

This is the perfect computer. Super-powerful, very quiet and beautiful to look at. Great for use in a living room or any place where it will be out in the open.

This is a great pre-built rig for gaming and/or rendering. I actually bought 2 of them, the one with the GTX 960 for my son and the one with the GTX 970 for myself. It was actually cheaper than building them myself this time around. One thing my son had to learn the hard way is to read the instructions lol. There are two power cords, one for the PC and one for the GPU. If you don't plug in the GPU power cord as well the rig won't register that the GPU is connected.

If the first thing out of your mouth is "I could build it cheaper than this", then this isn't the computer for you. If you're someone who wants a pre built system to game that doubles as a decent desktop, then you'll probably like this.I purchased this particular system before the black friday deal came up, but even at $1399.00 I thought this was a good deal and at $1299.00 even better. The plus for this system is the two terabyte hard drive(7200 rpm) 16gb of ddr4 ram and a GTX 970 graphic card (not bleeding edge, but I recently purchased fallout 4 and it runs well maxed out, so I'm not complaining). It's preloaded windows 10(a plus for me as I tried to upgrade my old system from windows 7 to 10 and ran into all kinds of problems, while with this system it was just a matter of reloading my old steam games, and nothing seems to have had any problems as of yet). As desktops go, this is a small computer (I moved from an Alienware Aurora R2 I purchased 5 years ago, so this system is about half the size as that) so if you're looking for a gaming computer with a smaller profile, this would be a good one. Heat seems to not be an issue, though take that with a grain of salt as I play about four hours at a time max (working for a living, what a drag). It vents from the top (and since heat rises this makes some sense). Anybody who likes the alienware chassis will like the Asus lighting systems, and it runs pretty quiet (especially compared to my alienware now, which has a liquid cooling system that is now past the recommended four year change out mark that I didn't want to deal with personally). This combined with the 3.4ghz processor that comes with it(my old r2 was running at 2.8ghz) makes it a nice small size, stylish gaming rig. So you're probably asking why four stars at this point. One of the reasons this system has such a small profile is that the power supply is actually external to the rig (something I hadn't previously noticed on the display)which hooks both to the cpu and the gpu with two separate plugs. So you will need minimum three connections (two for the tower, one for the display) so unless you have a tri or quad connection wall outlet (or say you're in a dorm room and you have to split outlets with a roommate)this might be a consideration as I'm not talking about a small size power adapter, this external hookup is the size of a masonry brick and heavy. Otherwise, good rig for a good price if you're not looking to make your experience a DIY thing. Happy gaming and merry holidays to all!

I don't use this PC for gaming, but was got it for video editing for making DVDs. Originally bought a Mac, but took it back for this one. The machine is very powerful with the dedicated video ram and storage. I am thrilled with this machine. Finished up to good sized jobs and the PC didn't miss a beat.

I researched until I was about to go blind before I finally pulled the trigger on the Asus. It has been 3 months now and for the first time in a long time I purchased a product that totally delivered the goods. Great machine I couldn't be happier!

Only complaint is the hdmi port didn't work but we didn't need it. This machine is pretty rocking and works perfect. My wife loves it!

I've been a fan of Asus and their products, but this desktop is over the top. For the power of this computer has I can not believe how quiet it is. Quality, speed, power......It has it all. Couldn't be happier.

I bought the ASUS ROG desktop for my 19 year old son for his birthday and he loves it! It is very fast - - he plays video games on line with people from all over the world - This computer is a huge improvement from the ASUS i5 laptop he was using.

This is definitely the fastest pc I have ever owned. I love the form factor small but powerful. If you want to upgrade your hard drive to an ssd ,which I recommend it a bit of a pain otherwise I am happy

This computer is all i expected it to be and more. Really loving the power and everything it can do. The computer requires two outlets and power plugs for the model i got. That caught me off guard at first but all together works out well. if you only use one plug then you can not use the GTX 970 Graphics card and are left using the integrated Graphics. There is a few issues i have had with the computer temporarily freezing everything for a few seconds before going back to normal and while i find that a little jarring i hope it is just Nvidia Drivers and will see for sure when the next driver update happens. I have yet to come across a game that this computer can not play at decent or high settings. At the end of the day i am really happy with this computer and would definitely suggest it to anyone looking for a great gaming computer.

This computer is extremely fast and very quit and runs super cool. Very easy to navigate with it's lighted keyboard and mouse.

Ordered as a gift for my twelve year old daughter and she really loves it. I tried it out myself and found it runs great-- fast and smooth and no real problems yet.

i wanted a pc game machine that looks very cool & performs very well. asus makes great products & this was just what i was looking for in a gaming machine. with windows 10 installed & i swapped out the 7,200 rpm hard drive for a samsung 1 terabyte ssd. it is very, very fast. couldn't be happier. good investment.

I purchased this for my grandson for a present and it performs excellent. It can have its color theme customized which makes it look awesome. And to top it off, is is not very expensive for such a powerful gaming system.

I love my new Asus - ROG Desktop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive - Black/Red it is a total beast! I use it for gaming & have many programs running at one & it handles it all! I would recommend to anyone!

After having this computer for about a year, I have to say, this computer is fantastic. Its fast and easily runs Fallout 4 at Ultra High settings and other comparable games. Everything I have thrown at it as a casual gamer, has run without an issue, usually on the highest/second highest graphic's setting. The GTX 970 graphics card, even being a year old card model, is still in the mix, even with newer, better performing, graphics cards. Overall, this PC deserves all 5 stars. It has been a wonderful machine over the past year, and I hope that it continues to be as reliable as it has been for years to come.
