The best high-performance keyboard selling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS - ROG Falchion Ace 75% Wired Magnetic Hall Effect RGB Gaming Keyboard with Hot-Swappable ROG HFX V2 Switches – Black has taken the forefront of gaming keyboards. I see myself producing a better gaming performance with it than with other brand keboards that I previously used. Also, it makes a decent and comparable basic keyboard for nongaming situations. The lag that I experienced when using a mechanical keyboard is gone, because of the hall-effect sensors. I can program any or all of the switches to accuate anywhere between 0.1mm to 3.5mm to create my most comfortable key pressing feel. The magnetic switches also feel in perfect sychronization with my skill level. They’re super stable and end with a thocky feel and sound. The initial force of pressing also helps the keys provide just enough resistance to feel like you’re still pressing a real mechanical switch. I can fine-tune the responsiveness of the keyboard. The ROG Falchion Ace keyboard features an interactive touch panel that lets me apply a variety of settings, including volume, media playback, keyboard lighting, and a pair of customizable commands. There is a rapid trigger flip switch at the top-right corner of its frame that switches the keyboard to reset any key the instant I lift my finger off of it. The ROG Falchion Ace is also fully adjustable on the fly with a scroll wheel to set actuation at any moment and a touchbar to set volume, trigger playback controls, or any custom function. It’s a great addition, as you don’t have to dive into the settings to adjust your volume or scroll through webpages and documents. The ASUS - ROG Falchion Ace 75% Wired Magnetic Hall Effect RGB Gaming Keyboard with Hot-Swappable ROG HFX V2 Switches – Black can provide me with the best gaming performance at my skill level. It comes with practically every feature needed to produce a great gaming experience. Even without a wrist rest and no wireless Wi-Fi connection, it still stands on top of the gaming keyboard industry.

One of the best feeling keyboards I've used
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Asus ROG Falchion Ace keyboard is the second hall effect keyboard I've used, the 4th linear keyboard, and the first from Asus ROG. I went into this review convinced the keyboard was only going to justify its price point due to the ROG branding, but what I've found is that Asus put a lot of attention on the details that make the Falchion Ace one of the best keyboards I've used to date. It's now my daily driver. #Unboxing and first impressions# The Falchion Ace arrives in a fairly standard retail box, but instead of a bunch of packing materials to protect it in shipping, it comes with a _very_ nice carrying case that is designed to fit the keyboard itself and the USB cable with ease. Really the only 'meh' thing about the first impression of this keyboard is that I wish it had a thicker, coiled cable, but given they clearly are marketing this towards portability I guess it makes sense. The case is well made and it's easy to fit the keyboard and cable in together, and since I'm now bringing this keyboard to work with me it's super easy to take off my desk and lay in the case. #Using the Falchion Ace# The hall effect switches feel amazing on the ROG Falchion Ace. Asus has lubed the switches as well, and as a result they have an incredibly smooth feel on each keypress. I've had the keyboard for about a month now, and have been bringing it to and from work in that time, and the keys feel just as smooth as the first day. One thing I REALLY like about the Falchion Ace is how easy it is to customize the actuation point as well as the rebound. There's a dial right on the keyboard to move the actuation point up and down in .1mm increments. In the past, I've found that hall effect and optical switches have been so tightly focused on gaming response that they are hard to type on because they activate so quickly - that's not the case at all with this ROG keyboard. I was able to set the keys to the perfect travel distance where they don't type unintentionally. In addition to this actuation height adjustment, you can set them to instant reset where you basically only have to twitch your finger up the tiniest fraction before being able to repress. While I can't actually benefit from this kind of APM, it's pretty cool when activated. I also really like that you can configure the keyboard almost entirely from function keys on the keyboard itself, as well as the super-cool touch strip along the top edge of the keyboard. Overall, it's just got a lot of really smart features in a pretty small frame. #Final thoughts# If you're a dedicated Asus fan, this keyboard is 100% for you. If you just like well-made keyboards that come from a well-known brand with US support, this keyboard is 100% for you. If you just really want something that has a premium glide to the keys and incredible customizability to your tastes, this keyboard is for you, too. Huge recommendation from me.

Great adjustable gaming keyboard!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first mechanical gaming keyboard. With that said I really enjoyed using it. Out of the box I used it and then found out that you can download Asus software to really customize this system. The unboxing is great as this gaming keyboard comes with a really nice zip hard case with extra keys and your wired cord. When you look at the keyboard the presentation is really nice and the keys are labeled very nicely. The keyboard feels very nice and well built. The keys when depressed feel very nice and once you have the software that is where you can really tweak this keyboard. I really liked the default lighting but if you want to set it to one color you can. Now for someone that hasn't had a programmable gaming keyboard it took a bit to figure out how to do it but if you know something about computers you won't have that hard of a time figuring it out. In games you can make adjustments to really make your character move to your liking. I really like the ability to adjust the trigger speed. It almost feels a bit illegal but I know other players have the same keyboards or other devices that are fully adjustable. I didn't think I would use this for alot of my work but I am. I really enjoy all the options on this and can't see how this could get any better but with time it will and I will most likely purchase the next version.

Effective Execution of Magnetic Hall Effect
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ROG Falchion Ace 75% gaming keyboard has performed well so far. In general, 75% keyboards have become my favorite sizing option, struggling to return to standard keyboards at my workplace. The keyboard has your expected RGB backlight lighting, with the backslash lights that ASUS has utilized throughout their product line if have other ROG devices. The keyboard does require to be plugged in, expected with available features in my option to ensure responsiveness, which I tend to prefer for desktop use. One of the largest features of this keyboard is the Magnetic Hall Effect - which prior to this keyboard I was not specifically familiar with. The actuation point for the keys is able to be customized to be responsive depending on key press/pressure, to almost barely touching the key to needing a normal standard press of the key. This does result in necessity for various settings depending on task. For instance having quick response while gaming, while if doing clerical work, the more sensitive setting definitely results in extra keystrokes (double a, triple dashes) for myself - but at work I am used to the clunkiest keyboards so with time my fingers adjust regardless. Solid hardware with the biggest draw being ability to adjust the actuation point, which does have an adjustment wheel to allow for quick switching. Quiet as well, definitely less clunky than my previous keyboard. There is also an included carry case, allowing for travel if using for gaming. No wrist rest though, using my other 75% keyboards without issue. Overall, this keyboard revealed a point of adjustment that I was not accustomed to, in a good way and have enjoyed experiencing the variations in keyboard use with the active changing of actuation point.

Makes gaming so much easier
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This gaming keyboard works way better than the keyboard on my laptop or a regular keyboard for a desktop. It is wired but I have no issues with that. It connects easily to my computer and lights up the minute I connect. It comes in a very nice looking, sturdy case to protect it when Im not using it. I can store my keyboard, the wire and even my gaming mouse. Its also comes in handy for travel. The case feels well made. The kind of case that will last for years. As far as the functionality of this keyboard, I also rate it 5 stars. i like how I can hear the clicks of the keys and how smoothly the transitions are. It molds easily to my hands making it comfortable for playing vs a controller. I also like how sensitive the keys are so it makes gaming easier by not having to press so hard on the keys. A nice little bonus is the key remover that comes with the keyboard. It makes removing keys so easy. Only downside is it took a little time to learn how to use it, as some of the directions were confusing, but overall a great gaming keyboard that makes gaming fun! I love how colorful the lights are too even though you cannot adjust the color of the lights. It randomly does change colors on its own. However, I can change the brightness of the lights which is nice.
