Works perfectly well for what games I use it for however price was a little high when I paid for it and if you're a true PC gamer don't buy and gaming laptop buy a tower

I needed a PC and this was sort of an impulse buy when I was looking around in the store. I was looking for something under $1000, but everything I looked at was either very heavy or with a screen size smaller than I wanted. Some of them also didn't have great reviews. Then I found this Asus, and not only is it aesthetically sleek, but pretty lightweight too. It says 4.5 lbs, but somehow it feels lighter than that. I travel a lot for work so I found this to be something in the carryable range. It's made for gamers so it's pretty fast and with a good graphics card. I do a lot of work with large video clips and design, so figured that could only help me. I'm comparing it to a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 I have, which I initially thought would do the job and I loved it's light weight. But actually that small a screen size was very prohibitive when working with the programs I'm using. And also, because it doesn't have a hard keyboard surface, only the type cover, trying to type on my lap was also a problem. It still was a little too big to use comfortably on the airplane. My problems will be solved with this more traditional laptop solution. My designing requires a mouse, not any touch screen drawing. This product is receiving an initial 4 because it came with a cosmetic defect. I went to exchange / return the product the next day, and as there wasn't another one in stock, the Best Buy guys were super helpful in finding a solution for me. The keyboard itself is cool but takes some getting used to because there's also a keypad on the side (yay but changes finger position). Also, the mouse itself is a little clunky when you're right or left clicking. It's a touchpad so you don't need to click much except when you're trying to scroll. It's not like Apple's touchpad where you can scroll without clicking, unless I'm missing that setting somewhere. All in all a good machine, great features for less cost that some others, and it's light.

Good lord this is a power house as a gaming laptop. Very nice and quiet fan control and does not get to hot for a lap, but I do recommend playing with it plugged in to a wall.

Works as described. Price was goos as well. We are enjoying it a lot. Actually, pretty light weight so easy to carry around.

Great computer but because it was open box , had horrible time with asus regarding registration and warranty. Computer was registered to someone else and it took two weeks of resending and resending and arguing to get laptop registered and warrantied.

Light in weight can take it almost anywhere and perfect for gaming, I love it....

I have to replace the network adaptor AGAIN, second time in 1 year. Network adaptor constantly dies and I have to reset it to get the computer to reconnect to the Wi-Fi, since there is no ethernet port. Like most laptops, the exhaust/vent fans are on the bottom, this causes the computer to get really hot. I currently have to have it propped up (for airflow) and on an external cooling pad/fan to keep it from overheating and crashing
