I have had no problems at all with this laptop. You get what you would expect to get with a gaming machine with these specs. It runs any game smoothly and boots up at a refreshingly fast rate. I hesitate to call it a laptop as its weight would not be comfortable on a lap. Think of it as a portable desktop that outruns most desktops. It does have a 144 hertz screen but is defaulted at 60, so it needs to be set at the 144 rate if wanted. The speakers are actually pretty good given the size.
If performance is what you are looking for, with the quality of the ASUS brand, then this is the laptop to buy. If weight is a real factor, then there are lighter laptops that can do the job as well but with some drawbacks.

I deliberately bought the thickest notebook in Asus ROG product line (actually I cannot call it a laptop, since this model is not intended to put it on laps :-) ), because from my past experience I understood that the best cooling system is possible only in notebooks like that. I've been using my Asus G703GX for almost 2 years and I'm totally happy with it. It has a desktop 200 Watt version of RTX 2080 onboard, which is still very powerful. I don't think that manufacturers of new laptops are going to put in them a Max-P version of the new RTX 3080 GPU, probably there will be only Max-Q variants, which are, due to diminished TGP, comparable to Max-P version of RTX 2080.

Love the size of the C: and D: drives on this computer. And of course the graphics card and processor are excellent. I haven't played any games newer than a few years old yet, but load times and graphics of them are great. I was also impressed with the low amount of "bloatware" that came on this computer, just a few Microsoft things basically. So far I love this computer.

This computer is completely incredible to me, I've never had a computer as fast as a portable, I never have to wait for anything. I'm getting spoiled the processing power to run so many things at once and never stall out.
I'm in love with this computer.

This is the 3rd ASUS laptop I have owned. I tried a Loaded out Omen before buying this Laptop but I had blue screens several times everyday. This currently is a solid gaming laptop that has worked flawlessly. The only thing that holds it back is my poor wifi speed.
Cons very heavy and can get a little warm if you use it on your lap.

ASUS is over priced for lackluster performance.

Laptop worked great first couple of days, but after some Microsoft windows updates and intel updates, the laptop's fan seems to never cease. especially when playing fortnite battle royal. For a gaming laptop from a well known brand equipped with more than enough hardware, the fact that it is running hot right from the launch of the game means something is amiss with the engineering. It's the same as if you had bought a Ferrari and it started to get too hot at 30 miles per hour. Asus should really spend more time with r&d of their laptops so they can perform the way they are priced.
